Pre-season price offer extended for FFScout Premium Membership

Due to popular demand and taking inspiration from soft furniture retailer sales across the land, we are pleased to say that Fantasy Football Scout Premium Memberships for the 2021/22 season are still available at the pre-season cost of £20.00 – but only for a little while longer.

We have given our users until the start of the September international break to sort out their subscriptions for the new campaign but this really is last-chance saloon territory, as yearly Premium Memberships will rise to the regular season price on Thursday.

So, if you haven’t already, make sure to sign up before that point in order to secure the best-value rate.

The yearly fee works out at an equivalent of less than £1.67 a month as, instead of expiring on June 1 as was previously the case, these rolling annual subscriptions now cover a full 12-month period.

That’s better value than our rivals are currently offering for the equivalent all-access Premium Membership package.

FPL points predictions for Gameweek 3 and beyond 3

We’re continuing to reinvest resources into the site, building a team of talented contributors for the new season (see below) and working on an exciting new design for the Premium Members Area, complete with new tools and features.

We’re also dishing out £6k-worth of prizes in the 2021/22 campaign – more details of that available here.

HOW CAN SCOUT MEMBERSHIP HELP MY FPL TEAM?

You’ll be joining legions of other Fantasy managers by signing up, including former FPL winners Adam Levy, Simon March and Tom Fenley.

Thousands upon thousands of Fantasy bosses take advantage of our subscriptions and sign up every year, using the stats and tools to aid their Gameweek planning.

MEMBERS-ONLY ARTICLES AND ADVICE

Ex-FPL winner Simon March: How to avoid getting carried away with your GW1 picks

You’ll get exclusive content, advice and team reveals from some of the best Fantasy managers in the business, including Hall of Fame number one Fábio Borges, ex-champion Simon March, five-time top 1k finisher Tom Freeman, three-time top 200 finisher Lateriser, six-time top 5k finisher Zophar, 2020/21 FanTeam winner Josh Wooldridge and four-time Sky top 50 finisher Niall Murphy – amongst others.

If that wasn’t enough, Fantasy Football Scout’s founding father, Mark Sutherns, is returning to the site to supply weekly video appearances throughout the season. Again, only Premium Members will get unrestricted access to Mark’s content.

We have regular Members-only articles, too, such as Captain Sensible, which provides in-depth analysis on the top contenders for the armband every Gameweek.

RATE MY TEAM AND PROJECTIONS

Our Projections and Rate My Team tools are both live for Gameweek 3 and beyond, so you can head over there now to start importing your teams and see how many points our algorithm thinks you’ll score and which players you should bench.

SEASON TICKER

Pre-season price offer extended for FFScout Premium Membership

Our Season Ticker can help you sort by opponent difficulty to spot those upcoming fixture swings, while you can also find out which teams’ matches rotate well.

Wolves, for example, have leapt to the top of our Season Ticker after a tricky start – but there are some tough games ahead for Aston Villa.

Disagree with the Fantasy Football Scout difficulty ratings? Add you own to customise your experience.

TRANSFER PLANNER

Not being able to see your team in future Gameweeks is a common criticism of FPL but with our Transfer Planner, which comes free with a Premium Membership, you can do just that.

Plan your transfers and starting XIs for Gameweek 3 and beyond by moving players in and out of your side.

HEAD-TO-HEAD COMPARISONS

Stuck between two potential transfer targets for the upcoming Gameweek? Compare both teams and players head to head, with over 100 key statistics and graphics to study side by side.

If you’re using our new beta site, you can draw statistical comparisons in more a more visually appealing manner, too.

PLAYER AND TEAM STATS

From goal threat to expected data, there are hundreds upon hundreds of player and team statistics available, which can help guide your Fantasy transfer decisions.

Our ‘per 90′ tickbox allows you to sort players’ stats per 90 minutes, too, to level the playing field for those assets with differing amounts of game-time.

MATCH ANALYSIS

Want to know where it went right and wrong in previous Gameweeks?

We’ve got analysis of every Premier League match (going back to 2011/12!), together with charts which plot average positions and a collection of heatmaps for touches, shots and chances created, among other statistics.

CUSTOM STATS TABLES

Premium Members can also create custom tables based on the data available and share them with other subscribers to help with FPL team planning.

Perhaps the most famous of these is Joe’s Goals Imminent table, which looks to predict which underperforming assets will find the net next.

GAMEWEEK DASHBOARD

Pre-season price offer extended for FFScout Premium Membership 11

Enter your FPL ID for personalised visuals and check your live rank as the Gameweek progresses.

FLAT-TRACK BULLY TOOL

Our Flat-Track Bully tool helps subscribers to identify Fantasy assets with good records against specific clubs.

This will help you pinpoint players who perhaps perform better against weaker opposition for those close captaincy calls – and even those who thrive against the top teams, like Raúl Jiménez (£7.5m) famously did in 2018/19.

TESTIMONIES

2018/19 Fantasy Premier League champion Adam Levy was a paid-up Premium Member of our site and he discussed what tools of ours he finds most useful in an interview after his triumph.

In previous seasons we’ve helped FPL winners Tom Fenley and Simon March, while in 2015/16 we were thrilled to see Ed Masters – the winner of that year’s Members’ League – finish third in the overall rankings.

In 2017/18, Paul Gee went one better. He won our Members’ League and finished second, losing out to champion Yusuf Sheikh by just eight points.

Be sure to check out all the other benefits of signing up as a Premium Member here. A full FAQ on our Premium Members’ Area is also available here.

Crazy when Son rises with a potential injury and Amartey rising when he is unlikely to play. Kinda like Tsimi rising yesterday.

Stinks that White dropped though. After the “rona” wears off, he will have a run of good fixtures.

Why is Amartey unlikely to play?
Vestergaard has picked up an injury off the back of no pre-season.

Rodgers said it was nothing serious, but who knows. He either has 0 or 1 week left before finding the bench. Heck, I own him and I hope he plays. It would be great to get another rise before he finds himself on the bench for good. Tsimi already did that. Pure fantasy gold that guy. Killed it for two weeks while Robbo was out, and had 2 price rises. Capture the .1 and out he goes.

Yes, play against Norwich and a rise to 4.2 is very likely.
I just don't understand this almost certainty opinion that Vestergaard is returning, he has had zero pre-season and an injury.

Thoughts on this for a WC team?

      Meslier, Raya
      Trent, James, Alonso, Coufal, Livramento
      Salah, Traore, Raphinha, Benrahma, Bissouma
      Lukaku, DCL, Antonio

Those Chelsea fullbacks get so damn many points when they play so I think I can soak up some benchings with Coufal/Traore and Livramento+Bissouma on the bench. Or should I downgrade one GK to get an even stronger bench?

To be honest, this is a really good team, but I would like it much better as as WC team in GW 7 or 8 when Chelsea’s fixtures get really good. Chelsea is top of the fixture ticker from 7-11. They are middle before that.

It's possible. If Kane starts do we see that helping Son's chances at overall points, even though he won't be central? I'm inclined to say yes, just based on previous evidence. Santo is less attacking though. But home vs Watford could be gold.

Wouldn’t go for both Chelsea fullbacks personally with those fixtures, especially when you have Lukaku too.

I’d go with one 5.0 or 4.5 keeper and the other a 4.0.

Also could be a rough few weeks without Bruno *and* Son

I love the Chelsea triple… starting in GW 7. This feels early for this team. Do you really need to WC yet?

Man United’s fixtures get tough then too, so being without United is OK then, but very risky now.

I think that one of the most difficult things about wildcarding for me atm is a set and forget GK!

Interesting and Mark def knows his stuff, he's my favourite 5.0 too but wondering if it's best just to keep the extra itb...I've no Leeds though so I might actually go for him...enjoy watching him too, great young keeper!

      Maybe Sa or Meslier.

I like Wolves stats given who they’ve played and he gets saves (8 already).

Trust them both more than a promoted team.

Yeah, thing about Sa is I think I'd prefer a punt on a Wolves defender...maybe Semedo if he continues to look good

I kind of get why people don’t like double ups with keeper/defender but I also don’t really get it.
Choose the best for each position is my thinking.
Now concern about wanting a double up Wolves attack is a different issue - but I don’t imagine doing that

      Sanchez/Steele for cheap

      Schmeichel/back up for mid range

Lloris /back up for upper mid

Mendy/backup or Ederson/backup for $$$ but don't like to take up a spot for those teams with a GK

Sanchez/Steele is a bad idea. I cashed in big last GW with Sanchez, Duffy and Bissou. Only take 2 keepers from a team you won't want to triple on, like Brentford or Watford.
Despite their slow starts, I can see Meslier and Schmeichel being decent value. If you can wait, the forgotten Henderson could outscore them once he's back.

Any clear way to redistribute funds across my defence to strengthen for the next few? Really need 4 DEFs starting in most.

    Schmeichel [5.0]
    Ward [4.0]

    Ayling [4.5]
    TAA [7.5]
    Dier [4.5]
    Webster [4.5]

Unless you drop Trent your price points for defence is quite rigid and you'll only be shopping for defenders 4.5 or below. You could downgrade Schmeichel to a 4.5 but I think its not enough.

Maybe free up 1 to 1.5m by downgrading midfield and attack and put that towards a more flexible defence

        Good luck

Barring any realism issues, can a player fall & rise the next day?

Hypothetically: Aubameyang falls 8.8 on Fri, then scores 4 goals v City & shushes Pep. Is his value back at 8.9 on Sat or is there some sort of rule "locking" price falls?

      1. Ragabolly

I think it’s happened within a gameweek (rise on a Saturday anticipating a good game followed by a fall after an injury or something), but I don’t ever remember seeing it on consecutive days, and certainly not during the week.

        GW4 Lukaku - AVL

This is one of the more interesting analyses I have seen in some time. I’m going to have a look at how the rotation would look with Bruno. Everyone seems to remember the good Lukaku. I also remember the fat, slow ineffective Lukaku.

Dropped White for Duffy yesterday and i feel pretty ok about it. I know Arsenal's fixtures get better but I've watched them play every single minute and i am avoiding any Gunner until they show me some heart (beyond bullying Championship backups).

Little to no love for him on here!
I've had him from the start and feel very unlucky not to have gotten a goal or two from him. I'm actually selling Trent ahead of him on my wildcard this week which was a tough decision but I'm just not ready to give up on him yet!

just got rid. Don't think he impressed and is very likely to be benched next. It's hard to justify a place for a non nailed midfielder in a big roulette system when the likes of Benrahma are playing every minute and being pivotal to their teams.

even switching to Benrahma, fair enough...but how is he very likely to be benched? I thought he was one of City's better playears v Spurs and although Jesus outshone him last weekend (playing out wide which was interesting), he was unlucky with that offside goal.

I watched both City games and he just isn't pivotal to their attacks at all. Most attacks are low crosses from one wing met by essentially the winger from the other side.

As far as benching, he started two games in a row, that's as far as the roulette can go imo. And in both games, he was taken off early.

I don't know but for me he failed the eye test, since game 1.

just think he's Pep's first choice at false 9 and will come good...but yeah if he fails to return v Arsenal or is dropped he'll be on the chopping block I guess...peehaps I'm being a bit stubborn with him, time will tell...Cheers & GL

That's because it will be harder to get Kane, not because of any merit of Torres. Your reasoning is still perfectly sound.

I get what you're saying and I watched both games too but I guess his price works for me and I'll good cover on my bench for the games that he does get a rest. Mahrez & even Grealish are just that bit too expensive to take Pep roulette on the chin!

Jia I am also wildcarding! Queue the hordes of people who (quite rightly) will probably take the chance to tell me I've made a terrible mistake..haha

Pushed the button because believe the risk/reward is huge with everyone set to WC next week or GW7. We thinking some similar players below?

            Meslier (4.0)
TAA | James | Semedo | (Livramento) (Duffy)
Benrahma | Salah | Greenwood | Raphinha (Gilmour)
            Kaku | Antonio | DCL

Still weighing up Kane vs Kaku - certainly tempting at 12.3

sacrificed salah, keeping bruno, but salah is fair if you have greenwood as cover

only reason dropped salah, is that it's chelsea. and uncertainty behind gw 4&5
if he's back can just hokey cokey from bruno to salah if wish
you keep salah, he blanks, then you'll be carrying through IB with the uncertainty in which his price may drop
bruno vs wolves should be slightly easier, and not sure his IB is flagged as problematic

Normal for me. I've always wildcarded in GW2 most years. It's strange that i've made it to GW3.
Nothing to do with rank. Usually set myself up with playing 4m (if they are available) and 4.5m mid.
This year blessed with 2 4m defenders livra and duffy.
Pretty happy to break with templates and attack rank, make team value. I usually end season with a TV of 108m+.
                      It's another way of playing.

Apolgies for above post as it only posted half my story lol...

        This is funny but true:
I'm off today and wanted to sleep in but a mosquito flew into my ear and woke me up at 6am this morning.
I made breakfast and felt clarity in my thoughts as I logged into FPL. I looked at my benched Benrahma points, my tow playing keepers and the likes of Coufal being stuck to my bench since GW1 BB...
It felt obvious that I need to WC, reasons that entered my head were:
        Sorts out my benching headaches.
It will be playing on my mind every week (I like to get the WC out of the way early) and will affect my future decisions until I push the button.
Allows me to get in Lukaku early who will rotate the captaincy with Mane going forward (amazing C rotation from GW4).
Bonus of banking the Tsimikas profit.

I wish i had a zen-like moment every time a mosquito flew into my ear. I live in the north, and it happens far too often.

I BB'd in GW1 and have used FT to fix bench basically.
I did Barnes to Bissouma (had Jota on bench so now he plays), Maguire to Livramento.
I still have Schmeichel but its ok, he plays this week 4 me

Yeah but I couldn't stomach using my transfers to sort out my bench tbh so glad now that my team is nicely set up. I've two Chelsea in early too so hoping to be a step ahead of the GW7 wildcarders.

My bench was harder to sort out with Schmeichel Benrahma/Toney, Pepe & Tsimikas/Coufal. All bar Benny have departed the building now

Too late for any advice, I guess.
I was hovering over the WC button before my Antonio-Benrahma double-act pulled me from the brink. Instead, I prepared a GW7 WC. But with further noodling, I realised I can get that squad by GW8 using free transfers so long as price changes are reasonable. It's all a question of patience, which I must confess, I struggle with.

Holding back and sketching out future drafts helped me find the sweet spot for getting rid of my 2nd keeper, and to realise I don't actually need Livramento as the GWs I might play him, I've got a fine Starting XI. There's no harm on Tsimi sitting on my bench forever. I'd say my squad is only viable for such a long time because it was set up for a BB, which I played last week. Thus, I transferred in Duffy for GW2 and he'll now play a bit.

yup a patient approach is surely best but it feels nice setting up my team for the long term early rather than it wrecking my head every week...plus hopefully I'm on mostly good assets now and some that managers will be coveting at more expensive prices in the future

Good luck with it. One more week might have been better for peace of mind - you'll be biting your nails as transfer deadline day rolls around, and as for the potential chaos and fall-out of the international break - doesn't bear thinking about!

It hinges on Llorente for me. If he's fit, Ayling plays RB and will be dangerous and can bag a CS.
If Llorente isn't fit, Ayling goes CB and gets nothing. In which case, Livra has a good fixture. Tsimi's yesterday's man. gone.

So after all the shenanigans, it comes down to this:

Chelsea had one hole in their team, a top-class striker. They got a top-class striker.
City had one hole in their team, a top-class striker. They got a midfielder.

Puts Chelsea in the driving seat, in my book.
