Benitez provides injury updates on Richarlison, Coleman and Pickford

The most-played fixture in English football history, Aston Villa v Everton, brings Saturday’s Gameweek 5 action to a close.

Kick-off at Villa Park is at 17:30 BST.

Everton were already without the sidelined Dominic Calvert-Lewin for tonight’s match but Rafael Benitez has been hit by a further three injury blows in the run-up to the trip to Villa, with Jordan Pickford, Richarlison and Seamus Coleman all absent.

“With the tackle of Tarkowski, Richarlison was complaining about his knee during the week and he couldn’t do it.

“Pickford has a problem with his shoulder, he couldn’t do it.

“Seamus Coleman. At the end of the training session, he was a little bit tight, he felt his hamstring.

At the moment we think it would be 2/3 weeks minimum [for Richarlison, Pickford and Coleman] and after we will see.” – Rafael Benitez

Asmir Begovic, Alex Iwobi and Salomon Rondon start in place of that absent trio but there have been no other unenforced changes from the win over Burnley on Monday.

Dean Smith makes one alteration from Saturday’s 3-0 defeat at Chelsea, with goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez returning to the starting XI in place of Jed Steer after completing his 10-day quarantine period in Croatia.

Emiliano Buendia is also back but only makes the bench.

GAMEWEEK 5 LINE-UPS

For me, get the Chelsea boys first, then sort him later.

      He gets the Newcastle fixture.

Gallagher a prime candidate. But plans can change.

Think Torres and Hazz are right tbh. It's what I was thinking but good more opinions.

Just going to have to accept a few more 2 pointers and if anything else comes, it's a bonus.

Current plan is 2 more gws. Have torres, digne. Digne is a sure sell gw7 for rudiger or reece. So there must be other priorities for u too I guess like chelsea defender and so on. Also jota after Brentford becomes tricky. Like Gallagher as the longterm replacement

An Everton win to take them joint top, but Villa should put up a decent effort at home.

Bamford looked okay. Jimenez was the same as he's been.

Jiminez looked very poor honestly, misplaced passes, poor touches, wasteful on the ball and very little threat in front of goal, was quite deep again. But to be fair Wolves on the whole were toothless so it wasn't just him

Bumford looked awful tbh. Happy with his assist and the hunger was there, but positioning not great, wrong place wrong time too often. Supply into him was also woeful. Love his fixtures but also can't wait to get rid, if you get what I mean...

...not a player I'm enjoying owning

Who would you replace Torres with? Already have Salah, Raph, Sarr, Gray.
      A) Odegard/ESR
      B) Gallagher
      C) Gilmour and upgrade 3rd Forward.

I bought Torres for 7.0, so would mostly sell him before price drop.

If you don't have Antonio, I'd get Fornals in. If you have Antonio, I would probably upgrade to Ziyech but that can wait until GW7. I am not super excited about the cheapish strikers below DCL/Bamford/Antonio/Ings price even though there were some hauls today by ASM, Toney and Pukki. I'd rather get some Chelsea def in for GW7.

Was thinking something very similar including the Sissoko/ McArthur 4.5 double up. I would worry that the midfield will be a bit light long term but there’s a few players at that price range to rotate with (eg Gray, Traore, Raphinhia)
