Mark Sutherns’ FPL Gameweek 6 preview and latest team plans

Mark Sutherns makes his usual Friday night return alongside Andy on the eve of Gameweek 6 to reveal his latest thoughts and Fantasy Premier League (FPL) line-up over on our YouTube channel.

This video is an exclusive for Premium Members – and there’ll be plenty more to come in 2021/22.

This week we find Mark preparing for an afternoon of anguish as he goes in without Cristiano Ronaldo (£12.7m) and with no less than three Chelsea players as they take on Man City.

Andy, meanwhile, is feeling far more confident about the Gameweek, off the back of a green arrow and with a certain Watford winger newly installed in his line-up ahead a visit from an injury-strewn Newcastle United.

Find out their thoughts on the captaincy debate, going big at the back and watch out for an appearance from a certain Wizard towards the end, forcing Mark to fumble for the mute button.

        I don't think a reg flag locks the price. I think it is only locked when it goes from red to unflagged

        My goodness. Lewy should have scored to maintain is goal scoring form every game. Defender had to stick his leg for an own goal. Heck!

        The red card kind of affected the game too.

        Would definitely remove star from Lewy & Davies to Weghorst & Gießelmann then to probably Haaland & Guerreiro depending on the outcome

          Yeah, finally got Kimmich for this game as well. No double digit for Bayern trio was disappointing! 😀

          Good thing about this week is I can try 5 different star in midfield, all playing at different time. Will go for Modeste, Szoboszlai and Mbabu/Orban in early kick off.

            I’m getting Szoboszlai next game week. Completely forgot about him this game week + RBL haven’t been too impressive. Modeste is a good pick, just like the holy trinity upfront for now.

    Took my first hit of the season, done Bamford to Armstrong, mainly to have funds in the bank to do Antonio to Lukaku next GW. (Antonio + Shaw ➡ Lukaku + White)

    After these changes next GW, the team will be

    Sanchez
    TAA James White (Livra Duffy)
    Salah Rafh Sarr Benarahma (Gilmour)
    Ronaldo Lukaku Armstrong

    1) Would you advice keeping both Ron and Lukaku?
    2) Ronaldo to Lukaku next week and use the funds elsewhere to upgrade MF and Def??

      1) Nope. I think Antonio outscores Ronaldo gw 8-10. Armstrong up to Ronaldo around gw12/14/15 looks the route I'd take.

          Nah, I wouldn't. And I disagree he will be that price then as I don't think he'll be getting many returns during that period. 1 in 2 or 3 during that run imo.

      I think it’s worth having the double in attack whilst Lukaku has the good fixtures. Both cr7 and Lukaku have high ownership so would be scary to go without one. You can balance the squad out once the good fixture run ends or an injury comes up or something

        Thanks for the reply.

        Arguments against this are that we can cover Ronaldos points through a combination of other players like for eg., Dias over white, Antonio over Ronaldo, Bamford over Armstrong etc

        Still in a dilemma and a decision has to be made today, to layout a plan for these moves

          Yeah you’ve got a point when you put it down to value. Mendy only good because he’s nailed on and will get the occasional bonus and save points. I like Ramsdale but what puts me off his like Guaita is the backup isn’t 4.0 which is annoying because you never know what’ll happen if you’ll need a playing backup with covid stuff

      Depends on how secure the rest of the squad is. Rudiger + Azpi is the safest. James + Alonso is the riskiest. Somewhere in the middle seems about right to me.

    On Ronaldo v Antonio for (c), Ronaldo seems sensible from EO point of view but Villa are not a bad team. I also hate early kick off (c).

    Over last 3 seasons I’ve got 10 blanks in 13 games doing that…

      Yeah not sure myself either. Depends how brave we want to be really, Leeds defense has been garbage and Antonio been on fire, plus he’s had a bit of a forced rest with his red. But it’s hard to look against the man at home even with the early kick off, maybe the fact it wasn’t supposed to be an early kick off will break the curse
