Xhaka and Moura recalled as Ramsdale starts again

In the final Premier League match of the day, there’s a small matter of a north London derby at the Emirates as Arsenal take on Tottenham Hotspur.

The Gunners, who are unbeaten in their past 10 Premier League home games against Spurs, make one change as Granit Xhaka (£4.9m) returns to the starting XI after a three-game ban, with Nicolas Pepe (£7.2m) dropping out.

That means a third consecutive start for Aaron Ramsdale (£4.5m) in goal.

At Tottenham, Japhet Tanganga (£4.6m) and Davinson Sanchez (£4.5m) replace Emerson Royal (£5.0m) and Cristian Romero (£4.9m) at the back, while Lucas Moura (£6.4m) comes in for Giovani Lo Celso (£5.9m) further forward.

Steven Bergwijn (£6.0m) and Ryan Sessegnon (£4.4m) both miss out through injury.

GAMEWEEK 6 LINE-UPS

Arsenal XI: Ramsdale, Tomiyasu, White, Gabriel, Tierney, Partey, Xhaka, Saka, Odegaard, Smith Rowe, Aubameyang

Subs: Leno, Pepe, Martinelli, Lokonga, Cedric, Maitland-Niles, Holding, Tavares, Lacazette

Spurs XI: Lloris, Tanganga, Sanchez, Dier, Reguilon, Hojbjerg, Ndombele, Alli, Moura, Son, Kane

Subs: Gollini, Rodon, Gil, Lo Celso, Skipp, Romero, Royal, Scarlett, Davies

Captain is so critical - Captain gone wrong can ruin the rank, and vice versa!
Bruno(C) Antonio(VC) while Allan smiling from the bench with 6 points!
Opportunity loss of 14 points in a low scoring GW.

Captains can make or break weeks, and often do, but still some weeks the rest of your team make sup for it, I capped Ronaldo and still on 62 with Auba playing

Nice! Yes at times, rest of the team makes up for it. If Captain hauls, this one person makes up for the whole team. There must be direct correlation between Captain performance and colour of the arrow, more than any other parameter.

im so hot and cold with cap picks, i remember last season i got 14 captain picks in a row with no blanks, then something like 10 in a row which were blanks. Picking captain is annoying

            Wow 14 in a row!
This time around, I got first two GWs correct: Bruno(20) and TAA(12), which set my expectations high for this season. GW6 Bruno(0) is like a reality check, haha!

I went with Odegard, Tierney and White.

Do we think arsenal are keeping a cleanie? Got a bad feeling some don’t goal is coming.

Spurs will get a random goal in the 70-80 minute mark to ruin cleansheets, probably a big deflection.

    Sweet sweet FPL...

Owned ESR since GW1, had him in my starting 11 this week but also had 2 FTs and wildcarded yesterday.

So did ESR to Gray as a 'better fixtures, better form' transfer before the wildcard.

They won't play Spurs every week though, so he may be a bit of a trap if getting him back on the wildcard.

Arsenal attackers are a trap, same as Wolves (as an Arsenal fan).

Have Ramsdale myself. Tomyasu also worth considering imo.

Never a truer word spoken. It's a derby vs Spurs. This isn't 'normal' for them.

Yep, things seem good now but rotation and poor form will rear its ugly head eventually, always hard to judge players in a derby because anything can happen

haha yup, won't be holding my breath for a cleanie today.

Still believe Ramsdale will provide good value over the coming months.

I think I may disagree here. It is about time that things "click" for them and this match may easily create form for them. Those faces were so genuinely happy, that I haven't seen such joy for a long time. They will want to keep on scoring and they are capable imho.

Wolves are like Shu last season, extremely high xG needed since they are unable to finish, but Auba for example is capable to be clinical when in form. Saka and ESR are talented young players and cheap fpl assets.

    How do these plans look?

    GW7 Torres > ESR
    GW8 Cr7 & Marcal > Lukaku & Dias

Armstrong maybe for his price. JWP too reliant on set pieces.

Not sure I'd want one in my front 7 though, better options.

Didnt watch it all, but JWP is the safest pick, he looked pretty decent as usual, plus he has set pieces and is very good at them

Armstrong was quite far back in attacks, Adams was around the box much more.

I also hadn't seen how attacking Livramento was. He looks an absolute steal at 4.2

Awesome, all your comments were exactly what I wanted to hear so thank you. Livra does seem like a steal for sure, and may even get to play as a winger soon. Was curious to see if any of their attackers were worth a look ahead of their decent fixtures, as they’re not very highly owned but sounds like they weren’t great, thanks all! 🙂
