Xhaka and Moura recalled as Ramsdale starts again

In the final Premier League match of the day, there’s a small matter of a north London derby at the Emirates as Arsenal take on Tottenham Hotspur.

The Gunners, who are unbeaten in their past 10 Premier League home games against Spurs, make one change as Granit Xhaka (£4.9m) returns to the starting XI after a three-game ban, with Nicolas Pepe (£7.2m) dropping out.

That means a third consecutive start for Aaron Ramsdale (£4.5m) in goal.

At Tottenham, Japhet Tanganga (£4.6m) and Davinson Sanchez (£4.5m) replace Emerson Royal (£5.0m) and Cristian Romero (£4.9m) at the back, while Lucas Moura (£6.4m) comes in for Giovani Lo Celso (£5.9m) further forward.

Steven Bergwijn (£6.0m) and Ryan Sessegnon (£4.4m) both miss out through injury.

GAMEWEEK 6 LINE-UPS

Arsenal XI: Ramsdale, Tomiyasu, White, Gabriel, Tierney, Partey, Xhaka, Saka, Odegaard, Smith Rowe, Aubameyang

Subs: Leno, Pepe, Martinelli, Lokonga, Cedric, Maitland-Niles, Holding, Tavares, Lacazette

Spurs XI: Lloris, Tanganga, Sanchez, Dier, Reguilon, Hojbjerg, Ndombele, Alli, Moura, Son, Kane

Subs: Gollini, Rodon, Gil, Lo Celso, Skipp, Romero, Royal, Scarlett, Davies

Probably yes. Firmino back & playing City. James went off injured. Unless you have a strong bench to cover, it could pay off in one GW.

38k rank and contemplating hitting WC. WS initial plan from the start.
    Team
    Sanchez foster
    TAA alonso marcal white livra
    Salah Jota Sarr Raphinia Gilmore
    Ron Antonio Toney

    WC
    Gueita foster
    TAA alonso ridiger tomisayku:) livra
Salah Zaha Sarr Raphinia Douglas Luiz
    Lukaku Antonio Ings

    .2 itb
1st team still looks decent but fixtures are turning for those who I’ve replaced. Have cover with decent fixtures for che def.

I think you wait, activate it on Saturday and play the price rises over the international break. You never know if some of your players will go down injured or contract covid while away and can gain some nice team value

      So effectively:

      Sanchez > Gueita
Marcal > Rudiger (You've got Alonso)
      White > Tomisayku (bit sideways)
      Jota > Zaha
      Gilmour > Luiz (luxury transfer)
Ronaldo > Lukaku (Urgent this week?)
      Toney > Ings

      Not sure I'd wildcard personally.

    Thoughts on the plan below?
    Keep Greenwood one more?

    GW7 Shaw to Rudi/Alonso
    GW8 Ayling to Cancelo/Dias
    GW9 Ronaldo to Lukaku

    Sanchez/Steele
    TAA/Shaw/Ayling/Duffy/Tsim
    Salah/Greenwood/Benrahma/Raph/Sarr
    Ronaldo/Antonio/Scarlet

lukaku cancelo and alonso my next 3 transfers

i let lukaku and cancelo rise.. alonso rising tonight. should i just do the transfer?

i have duds like tsimikas and ayling that i can move out, only problem is that midweek can possibly sway the decision towards some other CHE defender (or will it?) -

alonso starting midweek makes him a doubt for the weekend or cements his place as first choice?
chilwell starting midweek assures alonso of starts in the PL or signals the start of rotation?

Is this WC in 8 crazy?

    Ramsdale Foster
    Cancelo Rudiger Dias Duffy Livramento
    Salah Grealish Raphinha ESR Sissoko
    Lukaku Antonio Auba

Arsenal triple in 8 is good for fixtures and I'm also doubling on City def. If I get priced out of this can switch Dias > Alonso/Thiago Silva/Christensen and double on Chelsea instead.

I think Grealish is one of the most undervalued players in the game atm. He had two great chances at the weekend. It's perfect that he isn't returning now in these tough fixtures while putting in good performances. He is a priority transfer for me in GW8 whether I'm on WC or not.

            I don't think it's either or.

I can do TAA + Ings over Auba + Dias. I keep both but Grealish is a priority for me. We will see who is right in a few weeks' time.

Much prefer this Camzy! Ings got some good fixtures too, Spurs away not even that bad!

I’d agree with you if they had a proper centre forward firing on all cylinders

        Fixtures aren't there for Vardy.

        MUN bre ARS lee CHE

That's a no go from me. And Leicester don't look great although Vardy is exceptional. I thought about getting Vardy in GW5 to replace DCL. That was the time and I would have been rewarded. But now I'm definitely not going there.

I'm not convinced on Auba, but I do still have one more week to decide. If he scores again vs Brighton and Arsenal look good, it's gonna be very tempting when they have CRY AVL lei WAT coming up.

Remember Vardy loves scoring against the bigger sides/games though

Stats don't back that up in recent seasons.

He had quite a poor season last year by his standards (though still decent points) and was overshadowed by Nacho.

He looks to be back to his predatory best this year so far

The Auba pick is certainly left field. Not sure on that as don't think you would have gone for that before today. ESR is fine as cheap so no risk, like grealish pick, for my WC8 i'm planning TAA, cancelo, rudiger but can see why you might go without.

    Rough:

    Bruno (C), Alonso, Shaw, Kane

    Smooth:

    Raphinha, Sarr, Antonio, Jota*

*Jota could have had so much more though!

Not sure - I think the interesting stat from yesterday is not only did he stay on when Firmino came on, but he also started on the left rather than through the middle.

Certainly keeping him for now, he’s getting so many chances
