Bissouma absent as Edouard makes first start for Palace

In the final match of Gameweek 6, Crystal Palace host Brighton and Hove Albion at Selhurst Park in the M23 derby.

Kick-off is at 20:00 BST.

Odsonne Edouard (£6.5m) makes his first start for Palace, having scored twice as a substitute against Tottenham Hotspur in Gameweek 4.

Luka Milivojevic (£5.4m) also features in the starting XI, with Cheikhou Kouyate (£4.5m) and Christian Benteke (£6.3m) dropping to the bench alongside Jeremy Schlupp (£5.4m), who has recovered from a thigh problem.

Eberechi Eze (£5.9m) and Nathan Ferguson (£4.5m) remain sidelined.

As for Brighton, a win at Selhurst Park tonight would see them go top of the Premier League.

Robert Sanchez (£4.6m) and Shane Duffy (£4.3m) – who are currently owned by 25.4% and 22.5% of FPL managers respectively – both start, but Yves Bissouma (£4.6m) misses out with a knee injury and is replaced by Pascal Gross (£6.0m).

Dan Burn (£4.4m) is also in for Solly March (£5.4m).

Tariq Lamptey (£4.4m) again makes the bench, with Graham Potter stating last week that they will carefully manage his return to fitness.

GAMEWEEK 6 LINE-UPS

Crystal Palace XI: Guaita, Ward, Andersen, Guehi, Mitchell, Milivojevic, McArthur, Gallagher, Ayew, Zaha, Edouard

Subs: Butland, Kouyate, Kelly, Clyne, Schlupp, Hughes, Olise, Mateta, Benteke

Brighton XI: Sanchez, Veltman, Dunk, Duffy, Burn, Cucurella, Gross, Lallana, Trossard, Maupay, Welbeck

Subs: Steele, Lamptey, Connolly, MacAllister, Moder, Alzate, March, Roberts, Richards

I think with Liv-Mci in GW7 and uncertainty of IB it is better to WC in GW8.

UCL and Europa games this week.

My WC is long gone but if I still had it, I would activate it next week.

The other reason is seeing how Lukaku and Ronaldo get on GW7. It is becoming clear that it is better to have only one. Both blanking is like a knockout punch.

If you can gain enough more pts this week with WC, you can even take hits during next and be winning with that decision! Always bank pts if possible.

Bagheri Arce! I love the tag name!!!

Watch out for Iran WC 2022. Best team yet since the Daei, Mahdavikia, Bagheri era.

Team Melli would have advanced to group stage in WC2018 had they not drawn the worst group.

B for me. I dropped Shaw for Alonso today. Shaw's injury came at the right time as their fixture run gets nasty now...whereas Alonso's fixture run is looking nice.

However, with my luck, Tuchel will go and start chilwell GW7. Either way I picked up Alonso as a long term pick. Can't see too many fullbacks that are going to offer as much potential for attacking points as he will.

I wouldnt get Odegaard. Seems like a string-puller, assist-the-assister type player. He scored a decent free kick but I'm not sure he's on all of them

Odegaard is the Arsenal mid i own.

He is a quality young palymaker who plays in No.10 position.
I've heard that "assist-the-assister" lark before about such FPL gems as Santi Carzola etc, that's total nonsense.

        1. Gunneryank
          • 2 Years
          2 years, 6 months ago

It's not though imo. He may have some attacking returns, but he is acting as a true #10, and he was immense vs Spurs. Best I've seen him play. In truth, the Gunners look to spread their attack around fluidly, so maybe he plays a part. But Auba and Saka are the more clinical finishers.

Cazorla only had one season in which he had a good FPL return.

          And Odegaard isnt a 10, he's an 8

          1. Gunneryank
            • 2 Years
            2 years, 6 months ago

But he's playing as a 10, since they don't have a good number 8 who can play in the pivot. I think they're better with 2 defensive minded CMs behind the front 4, and Odegaard can fill the 10 role because his passing and awareness is so good. He doesn't have a clinical finishing ability so he is probably better as an 8 as you say, but Arteta seems to like this set up so we'll see how it does.

Saka might be a juicy option. The Spurs result seemed to fill them with confidence and show what that front 4 can do vs most average league sides. I haven't seen them enjoy their football like that for years. Saka is more explosive and ESR seems a bit more like a link up player, but they could both be in the goals.

    Good evening,

i really want to get Lukaku - but would be at the expense of Jimenez or Antonio. West ham fixtures are getting tough und Wolves fixtures look great. What would you do?

    Salah, Raph, Saka, Sarr, Fornals
    Antonio, Jimenez, Armstrong)

A shot should be any touch by an attacking player that would have resulted in a goal without the intervention of the keeper.
