Bissouma absent as Edouard makes first start for Palace

In the final match of Gameweek 6, Crystal Palace host Brighton and Hove Albion at Selhurst Park in the M23 derby.

Kick-off is at 20:00 BST.

Odsonne Edouard (£6.5m) makes his first start for Palace, having scored twice as a substitute against Tottenham Hotspur in Gameweek 4.

Luka Milivojevic (£5.4m) also features in the starting XI, with Cheikhou Kouyate (£4.5m) and Christian Benteke (£6.3m) dropping to the bench alongside Jeremy Schlupp (£5.4m), who has recovered from a thigh problem.

Eberechi Eze (£5.9m) and Nathan Ferguson (£4.5m) remain sidelined.

As for Brighton, a win at Selhurst Park tonight would see them go top of the Premier League.

Robert Sanchez (£4.6m) and Shane Duffy (£4.3m) – who are currently owned by 25.4% and 22.5% of FPL managers respectively – both start, but Yves Bissouma (£4.6m) misses out with a knee injury and is replaced by Pascal Gross (£6.0m).

Dan Burn (£4.4m) is also in for Solly March (£5.4m).

Tariq Lamptey (£4.4m) again makes the bench, with Graham Potter stating last week that they will carefully manage his return to fitness.

GAMEWEEK 6 LINE-UPS

Crystal Palace XI: Guaita, Ward, Andersen, Guehi, Mitchell, Milivojevic, McArthur, Gallagher, Ayew, Zaha, Edouard

Subs: Butland, Kouyate, Kelly, Clyne, Schlupp, Hughes, Olise, Mateta, Benteke

Brighton XI: Sanchez, Veltman, Dunk, Duffy, Burn, Cucurella, Gross, Lallana, Trossard, Maupay, Welbeck

Subs: Steele, Lamptey, Connolly, MacAllister, Moder, Alzate, March, Roberts, Richards

That Guaita mistake just cost me LMS!!! out by a point, was sitting pretty on weak score, thinking he pulled it off for me, then that happens!!!! DOH!!!!!

Love how the keeper gets the blame for that goal!

I watched every second of the game and he needed to kick that ball much farther up the field, the actual shot was sublime, but should not have been there in the first pace..were you watching the game????

Yes I watched the game. Poor kick, simple ball back over the top, defender actually ducks out of the way and let’s it run through to maupay, other defender stops and doesn’t tuck round cover his centre half. So whilst the kick was poor the defender is to blame

it's all semantics, but you have to look at the time of the match. late in added on time, Keeper as ball. Either keep the ball or blast it as far as you can, not a dink over the half way line, so it is 100% keepers fault. after that and leading up to the goal, you can blame whoever you like, but that is where it started...

One poor kick into the opposition half shouldn’t end up with a player clean through on goal with one ball back over the top

It's 100% the keepers fault. Both the goal kick and his positioning for the goal itself.

Guaita is very poor with the ball at his feet full stop. Rubbish distribution and doesn't fit the Vieira paradigm one little bit. Odd circs but really an accident waiting to happen

There's been quite a bit of chat among Palace fans that he should get the chop - despite being voted player of the season last time. Could just be a case of whether Butland is any better in that regard.

Agree that Guaita isn’t great with the ball at his feet but he’s far superior to butland - or the butland of the last few years. 5 years ago I thought butland was ahead of Pickford but he’s gone backwards since then

            Quite probably right

Can't recall an instance of a keeper having a sustained slump and then coming back into form. Must be one or two I suppose but its such a highly pressurised position that you presumably need insane levels of confidence.

That’s it, I think butland playing in that Stoke team clearly wrecked his confidence. Now he barely plays so hard to get that confidence back if not playing regularly. Sure he was on the verge of moving to Chelsea from stoke at one point - just shows you why players push through transfers as it’s a short career and before you know it you can’t get a game for palace!

It was James, he was actually on 0 points before the 1 bap (got booked and conceded 2).

The conceding 2 goals part doesn't hurt in the baps, which is ridiculous.

          Cheers both.

Have to be low quality games to have a chance and lucky with scorers. Sanchez did have his BCC and ball possession. Sure James was good in that game and unlucky not to return.

I hate to sound a like a grumpy old man, 'better in my day' etc etc....

BUT is this site (well the comments), getting worse each year. Seems to be a lack of good advice and a lot of debatable posts, that seem more at in Facebook comments section.

Any else agree, or am I just being grumpy (which is extremely plausible).

I think FFS has started to drive overall behaviour in the game a lot more than the "good old days", when it was starting out.

So maybe back then the advice had more impact. Now we win together, lose together often.

The part I find wierd is that every year the winners join ffs late in the season and basically admit they dont use the groupthink, yet so many seem to think the groupthink is useful.

That is simply not true. A lot of the youtubers dont cover many of the topics discussed 8-9 years ago on here. Its not a particular surprise that a lot of the really old timers are high rankers. Some things have innovated, but much has been a step backwards because of the shift in player base to the easy solutions rather than critical thinking.

True, but it becomes annoying when week after week I look at my team and I’m convinced it’s strong, only to score poorly because of unreal luck (at least I think it is).

I don’t have Lukaku and Ronaldo (or Salah), yes big mistake.
But the irony is the week 2 of them blank, I’m still punished because my captain misses a darn penalty and still scores less than them lol

Being a huge Kane fan myself I know the temptation to captain and keep Kane for those plum games at home
Almost as if a brace is guaranteed but under Nuno I’m skeptical he will be worth 12m considering other options.
I wish I could get him in but spurs are a mess at the minute
Kane to lukaku should be first up!

That’s the plan yes, but I’m even second guessing that now.

What a joke to say that. I saw the match and where is it your Duffy goal? He shot just to Guaita and that's it. Sanchez didn't do anything at this game, 1 created chance, nothing else. 2 saves only.

Of course, I was watching the match. It wasn't clear cut at all, defenders were close, good chance that's it.
And of course Veltman assist was lucky but it happens all the time.
And the best part is that I own Guaita :)Still happy to make a good decision to take him on WC last week...

Hard luck bud! Nothing worse than a 95th min CS wiped out(unless it’s a double Cs) but palace were very strong.

But it's fine for me:) Of course it's a hard luck, sometimes it goes for you and sometimes against you! Nothing to do and focus on choices!
Good luck to you as well!

Can anyone point to a dumb unluckier player than me?

    * Aggguueerrrooo last-minute goal cost me a mini-league title
    * A rare 81st-minute goal from Robertson cost me a mini-league title
    * John Terry subbed on 26th to be replaced by my rival's player and gaining a clean sheet cost me a mini-league title

Now, this last-minute goal meaning Sanchez gets a 1 point bonus cost me, my mini-league manager of the month.

    ARRRGGHHH!

If I could bottle it I'd sell it for evil purposes!

That's pretty unlucky. But happens a lot to others too. Anyone who has played for 10 years will have suffered similar scenarios some time. It's also about luck, after all.
