Bissouma absent as Edouard makes first start for Palace

In the final match of Gameweek 6, Crystal Palace host Brighton and Hove Albion at Selhurst Park in the M23 derby.

Kick-off is at 20:00 BST.

Odsonne Edouard (£6.5m) makes his first start for Palace, having scored twice as a substitute against Tottenham Hotspur in Gameweek 4.

Luka Milivojevic (£5.4m) also features in the starting XI, with Cheikhou Kouyate (£4.5m) and Christian Benteke (£6.3m) dropping to the bench alongside Jeremy Schlupp (£5.4m), who has recovered from a thigh problem.

Eberechi Eze (£5.9m) and Nathan Ferguson (£4.5m) remain sidelined.

As for Brighton, a win at Selhurst Park tonight would see them go top of the Premier League.

Robert Sanchez (£4.6m) and Shane Duffy (£4.3m) – who are currently owned by 25.4% and 22.5% of FPL managers respectively – both start, but Yves Bissouma (£4.6m) misses out with a knee injury and is replaced by Pascal Gross (£6.0m).

Dan Burn (£4.4m) is also in for Solly March (£5.4m).

Tariq Lamptey (£4.4m) again makes the bench, with Graham Potter stating last week that they will carefully manage his return to fitness.

GAMEWEEK 6 LINE-UPS

Veltman really pulled through went from a red arrow to a green arrow over that last minute assist

Anyone who watched the game- how did Gallagher look?

Looks like he's off majority of set pieces now that Mili is back, unfortunately.

Happy with the won penalty and seems that he had joint most touches in the box in what wasn't much of an offensive affair

    Cheers

      He looked very good.

Palace are still a work in progress though - especially in attack. More or less as I expected the defence has improved much more quickly. Think it reasonable to assume that the attack will gel and open play goals will come but maybe not that many. In any event Gallagher will be key to most good things that happen. He's in the area at every opportunity - no accident that he got the pen from that point of view.

Cheers. His positioning is surprisingly deep compared to teammates, but seems to have a knack to make the forward runs when necessary.

Yes, I hope Luka gives up his corners.

Gallagher will tick over very nicely, it just a shame from set-pieces he was less influential, and Brighton having five at the back made it more difficult for his lat runs into the box, which he has been doing a lot more than tonight too.

Given Luka's delivery I'm not sure how long he'll stay on them - and unless we've added a set piece coach to the set up rather suspect it's all notional anyway. It's not a great record we have there.

    Wildcard Team

    McCarthy, Foster
    TAA, Rudiger, Cancelo, White, Livramento
    Salah, Son, Raphinha, Benrahma, Allan
    Lukaku, Antonio, Scarlett

Other option is Son to Grealish
    Scarlett to Toney

    Thoughts??

Am I only one who thinks Ronaldo to Lukaku is pretty sideways this week? Both can easily haul, might just roll and cap Ronalod, Lukaku can come in after Brentford

Not on your own at all, I am keeping and capping Ronaldo this week and no plans to move him on just yet, leaving Lukaku for now.

To be fair to Tuchel, that stat is based on his opponents so far

They park the bus if you're good, and bully you if you're average/bad. Fits Lukaku perfectly too

yea thats fair enough, just think Ronaldo can outscore him as EVE and lei are not much worse fixt than SOU and brentford.

              I don't disagree. Only selling CR7 in GW8 because I can't ignore Jesus + Grealish + Cancelo

Would have kept until GW9 otherwise

I dont understand. Where is all you money? You have 2x 4.5s and 2x 4.0s, Gray and Benrahma.

Triple big hitters and TAA seems not so good to me.

I dont wanna drop any of CR7, TAA, and Salah.. Lukaku might haul..

Might drop CR7 if United's form not improving..

Yeah, in that case seems to make sense to just swap him for Rudiger and be done with it. I don't want to be without a Chelsea defender against a toothless southampton.

I guess the only question is if I should go Christensen instead?

check ben dinnery, he's good for injury updates

              there are 3 levels:
Christensen - cheap but ceiling of 6 points
Rudiger - probably most assured of starts, no cameos but rarely attacking returns also only played ~1800 total season mins last 2 campaings
Azpi/Alonso - offers both defensive and attacking returns as wingbacks but costs more

Yeah, I'm thinking Christensen is probably the way to go. I'm scared of Chilwell messing with Alonso's run, and I'm not comfortable shelling out so much for Azpi right now.

I'm surprised so many people are willing to pay 0.6 more for Rudiger over Christensen really.

Yup, but he's still pretty safe. He's started 5 of 6 games this year, and he's not much of a threat to sub in if he doesn't start.

also think he's played more early on because Silva was out. You'd hope Silva is first choice for UCL then AC plays majority of PL games.

Similar with Liverpool and Matip vs Virgil/Trent but different price points.
For those not going both Lukaku Ronaldo I think it's wiser to go with the more attacking defenders.

I’m currently planning this for next week, is the midfield too weak here? Overall I do like it but my only concern is midfield being a bit lightweight - thoughts on the below?

    Sanchez

    Alonso / Livramento / TAA / White

    Raphinha / Salah / Sarr

    Ronaldo / Lukaku / Antonio

Subs: Steele / Allan / Douglas Luiz / Williams
