HOW TO PLAY: A BRIEF GUIDE

Slightly different from the usual squad-based games, FanTeam managers are given a budget of £100m to build a team of 11 players that includes at least one goalkeeper, three defenders, two midfielders and one forward.

If a player in your team isn’t in the starting XI for their side, the ‘Safety Net’ feature will automatically be enabled – replacing that player with the next priced player from the same position and club.

Captains score double, as normal.

A full list of rules is found in the image below:

HOW DOES THE SCORING WORK?

FPL managers looking for a way to make their knowledge pay will have no trouble picking up this event, with its familiar scoring system.

Think of it as FPL without the bonus points, with a few other exceptions such as win/lose points and rewards for shots on target – these are detailed in the graphic below:

AZ AND JOSH’S GW7 PICKS

The winner of last season’s €200k prize, Josh Wooldridge, joins Az to discuss his weekly picks in the video below:

GAMEWEEK 7 WEEKLY MONSTER

For those Fantasy managers looking for an even bigger prize pool, FanTeam have a £42k Weekly Monster event running simultaneously in Gameweek 7.

The rules and scoring system are the same as above, with entries costing £10.08.

Alonso if you're ballsy but just know it could easily be 4 points thrown away with 2 defenders playing.

Azpi/Christensen if you fancy a Chelsea double up? A Burnley CB for goal threat vs Norwich?

Had planned Jota to Saka for next week just to avoid a points hit, already made my transfer. But looking like Saka will rise and Jota will fall tonight... All good to take a -4 for that move this week? Saves £0.2 if the prices swing plus Saka has a better fixture right..?

    Sanchez or Foster
    TAA* Rudiger Semedo, White (Livra)
    Salah Greenwood Benrahma, Gallagher
    Antonio, Ronaldo(c)

I am thinking of WC as am fed up with Jota/Greenwood (especially as both played midweek and didn't impress and on a rotation risk)

    0FT 1.2m ITB

    Thoughts or take a hit.

    A. Jota to Saka or
    B. TAA to Azpi for one week
    C or WC?
    Ramsdale
Cancelo, Dias, James (if Fit) Rudiger Livramento
    Salah, Benrahma, Saka, Raphinha,
    Lukaku Antonio, Jimenez 0.6 ITB

Can move to a defender to TAA and Jimmy to Toney GW10

Can I survive one more week with this?

    Sanchez
    White - Livramento - Shaw*
    Benrahma - Salah - Greenwood - Torres - Jota
    Ronaldo - Antonio

Bench: all injured and possible Shaw wont play too.
Good change that Greenwood, Jota and Torres wont start. Livramento have Chelsea.

    Pros: I have 1 FT.

    A) WC
    B) Take -4 to get 11 out and hope Jota, Torres and Greenwood play/start.

If B) Probably doing Torres and TAA > Chelsea def and Raphinha/Saksa for -4 and next week active WC. Dont like hits before WC, but now its most likely just -2.

I am looking at a 4-5 GW horizon and don’t like Shaw’s fixtures in the next 4 and think Rudiger out scores him

    Sanchez or Foster
    TAA* Rudiger Semedo, White (Livra)
    Salah Greenwood Benrahma, Gallagher (Jota)
    Antonio, Ronaldo(c) 4.5

I am thinking of WC as am fed up with Jota/Greenwood (especially as both played midweek and didn't impress and on a rotation risk)

    0FT 1.2m ITB

    Thoughts or take a hit.

    A. Jota to Saka or
    B. TAA to Azpi for one week
    C or WC?
    Ramsdale
Cancelo, Dias, James (if Fit) Rudiger Livramento
    Salah, Benrahma, Saka, Raphinha,
    Lukaku Antonio, Jimenez 0.6 ITB

Can move to a defender to TAA and Jimmy to Toney GW10

Would you say Christensen is a better pick than Rudiger? He has a better chance of bonus right? I remember this being the case last season when he broke into the team, when Chelsea kept a cleansheet, Christensen got bonus.

      I assume rudiger more secure

Well he's played one game less and earned 1 less bonus so far this season so maybe no?

But he's £0.7 cheaper so that counts for something

Thats because of the goal. Rudiger not renowned for his goal threat. He's also more likely to pick up cheap yellow cards

      I'm going with both.

I’m willing to forego an extra BP here and there if it means Rudiger is more nailed, and I will just go with Rudiger.

Can’t get BPS if you’re on the bench

Is he really though? He's yet to sign a new contract, Christensen has become a favourite and playing very well. 0.7 is a fair difference.

Who is Christensen competition with his position?

Thiago and one of James / Azpi.

Thiago Silva the main one, but, when he plays, Christensen could play RCB with Azpi RWB.

I think azpi will play and Thiago rested but obviously just guessing. !

No. He's less nailed on. Rudiger has added a small bit more attacking intent to his game too.

Rudiger has extra goal threat, but he also has more of a chance of picking up a yellow card. Christensen has a better chance of bonus points. 0.7 a big difference for potentially little gain

Hard for him to get bonus points when he's on the bench for some games watching Silva. Rudiger is the most nailed on Chelsea defender, probably most nailed on player with Lukaku.

Rudiger has played 1 more game then him since the season has started, including Europe.

I'd wonder why you ask the question when you seem to have the answers. Silva was being eased back into the team.

Thanks, ill check it out. Guessing they favour Rudiger, i'm just not sold. Wouldn't surprise me at all if Christensen outscores him over Chelseas kind run.

      Good option for the price
Slightly better bonus stats but little goal threat
      Less nailed

They must have talented postmen, farmers and milkmen in other parts of Europe. My one struggles to deliver mail let alone a cross into the box!

    Evening All,

    Any thoughts on my WC:

    WC Team - 0.4ITB

    Ramsdale Foster
    Alonso Rudiger Cancelo Coady White
    Salah Jota Sarr Benrahma Gray
    Lukaku Antonio Jiminez

Bit of a benching nightmare. Thinking:
    Gray > Luiz
    Jota > Saka
    Jiminez > Vardy

    Appreciated

Those moves make the side slightly better I think. You’ll always have a benching headache on WC though
