Iheanacho starts for Leicester as highly-owned Antonio leads West Ham attack

There are three Premier League matches kicking off at 14:00 BST today – Crystal Palace v Leicester City, Tottenham Hotspur v Aston Villa and West Ham United v Brentford.

Crystal Palace manager Patrick Vieira names an unchanged starting XI after Monday night’s 1-1 draw with rivals Brighton and Hove Albion. The Eagles are unbeaten in their three Premier League home matches this season, conceding just one goal at Selhurst Park so far.

For Leicester, Kelechi Iheanacho (£7.0m), who was unable to feature in Thursday’s UEFA Europa League game due to an issue with his travel documents, starts alongside Jamie Vardy (£10.4m), with Hamza Choudhury (£4.5m) and Ademola Lookman (£6.0m) also featuring.

Ricardo Pereira (£5.5m) drops to the bench, with Jonny Evans (£5.4m) and Wilfred Ndidi (£4.9m) unavailable.

Elsewhere, Tottenham Hotspur are looking to avoid a fourth straight Premier League defeat, and make three changes from last weekend. Emerson Royal (£5.0m), Cristian Romero (£4.9m) and Oliver Skipp (£4.5m) all come in, replacing Japhet Tanganga (£4.6m), Davinson Sanchez (£4.5m) and Dele Alli (£6.5m).

Son Heung-min (£10.0m), who has netted three of Spurs’ four Premier League goals this season including both at home, is involved, as is the 5.1% owned Harry Kane (£12.1m).

Opponents Aston Villa, who are going for a third win on the bounce, are unchanged. As a result, Leon Bailey (£6.4m) and Morgan Sanson (£5.0m) both miss out, with Dean Smith hopeful the pair will return after the international break.

West Ham United name the same starting XI that began their 2-1 win at Leeds United in Gameweek 6. Vladimir Coufal (£5.0m) returns after missing their European tie against Rapid Vienna with a groin injury, and starts alongside the highly-owned Said Benrahma (£6.6m) and Michail Antonio (£8.0m)

For Brentford, head coach Thomas Frank makes two changes, as Mathias Jorgensen (£4.5m) and Shandon Baptiste (£5.0m) replace Kristoffer Ajer (£4.5m) and Frank Onyeka (£4.9m).

Likely to get mbuemo on wildcard - but really creates some benching headaches....

This is why I am considering dropping a City defender and going Ederson instead to not have the benching headache and go with 3atb

Yes it does … which inevitably I get wrong … started Sarr for 1 point and benched Mbuemo …. Sigh.

It was a great bit of play by Son and a great cross in. Either going to be an OG or Moura goal. Son deserves all the credit. It literally was an assist.

Andy LTFPL having an absolute wonder of a gameweek.

48 with Cancelo and Salah to go. Hilarious that this is the week he sprang the surprise WC so all the people copying his team couldn't follow.

Think I recall like 10 teams being the same in some elite league or something?

Peoples teams are often similar, even here, look at most wildcards, barely a difference.

I mean it’s low scoring so he’s making about 10 -15 points on the average. Which is pretty dissapointing for a wildcard

To be fair… he brought in Saka, Lukaku & Rudiger who failed

He got two flakey assists from Azpi

Mbuemo & Ramsdale were good picks

I do actually think he's quite good. I think we all overestimate how much skill FPL really takes.

Andy is one of the hardest workers in the FPL scene. His whole life is dedicated to making videos about it, just being immersed all the time helps a lot.

It's the same way you see some players have poor histories where they don't have any top 500K finishes and yet can pull off a wonder top 100 season. It's not pure luck. When you do well you pay more attention to the game and make more calculated decisions.

Never understood the hate for the guy.

Isn't it possible to come up with the same team as others?

I think he makes good content. You still have to present information in an engaging way, and he does.

Even more perplexing is how personal and emotional people get about it. If he's such a villain in your life, you are having a pretty good life.

Same team as the others every time he picks a starting team or wildcard by coincidence? He blatantly copied Flapjack's team. He had a team. Commented on Flapjack's wc team post and then ended up with his team like for like. I find him very smug and a bit cringy personally and that i don't like

I wish I had that many flags and not having two free transfers, so I would push the wildcard. I was smug looking how strong my position is with Raphina, Sarr, Semedo and two free transfers, in the end, rubbish gameweek.

The only positive so far is that my WC is doing better than last week's team. Raphinha, ESR and Saka have earned more than double the points compared to Sarr, Pogba and Gray 😉

My -4 has gained me 12 points, not a great GW overall but would have been far worse!

Does indeed! It keeps me in Top 20k with WC still intact 🙂

Double City clean sheet would vault me to top 10k probably. Come on!!

I had higher scoring gameweeks when only a few matches went ahead because of snow

I had much worse gw last season when I had 3 MCI and two Spurs players and covid cancelled that match. This is at least equal to everyone.

To log back on and see that West Ham scored, then seeing Antonio was not involved is just devasting!! What a **** gameweek

Time to book profits and move Antonio along on WC?

      A. Ronaldo + Antonio
      B. Lukaku + Antonio + 1m
      C. Lukaku + Jesus

      Third striker is Jimenez.

      Thanks.

Vardy has only 5 points less than Lukaku & Ronaldo added together, but we (I include myself in the "We") are fixating on getting both these in our teams. Chelsea scored 3 times yesterday and Lukaku did not assist or score in any of them. 29 points in one less game than Vardy. Ronaldo did not even start and just as importantly, Man U look dysfunctional with him in the side.

It’s a good point but Leicester have looked awful every game I’ve seen them. Yet vardy keeps chipping away.

I don't disagree with Leicester not looking great and I have no idea what Kelechi has done to warrant constant benchings or getting hauled off, despite scoring in his first start of the season.

Roughly 25% of the points I managed in GW1 with Salah and Cancelo left. Transferred Jota out (Man C and like many did not think he would start) and now just booking my spot behind the sofa.
