Thursday’s FPL team news: Ronaldo returns, Saka benched

The final two fixtures of Gameweek 14 take place this evening – Tottenham Hotspur v Brentford at 19.30 GMT, followed by Manchester United v Arsenal 45 minutes later.

Antonio Conte make two changes from the 2-1 win over Leeds United in Gameweek 12, with Davinson Sanchez (£4.5m) and Oliver Skipp (£4.5m) coming in for Japhet Tanganga (£4.3m) and Harry Winks (£4.4m), both of whom drop to the bench.

That means Harry Kane (£12.3m) – who has scored just one goal in 11 league appearances this season – leads the line, with Son Heung-min (£10.4m) and Lucas Moura (£6.4m) flanking him either side.

As for Brentford, they are unchanged from their 1-0 win over Everton on Sunday, with Sergi Canos (£5.5m), Christian Norgaard (£5.0m) and Rico Henry (£4.5m) all recovering from knocks to keep their place in the starting XI.

Thomas Frank’s side have lost just one of their six away matches this season, and will move into the top half of the table with a win tonight.

Elsewhere, Man Utd make three changes from their Gameweek 13 draw at Stamford Bridge, with Harry Maguire (£5.4m), Diogo Dalot (£4.4m) and Cristiano Ronaldo (£12.3m) replacing Eric Bailly (£4.9m), Aaron Wan-Bissaka (£5.2m) and Nemanja Matic (£4.5m).

At Arsenal, Gabriel Martinelli (£5.2m) starts in place of Bukayo Saka (£6.3m), who is a substitute, while Mohamed Elneny (£4.4m) comes in for Albert Sambi Lokonga (£4.8m).

GAMEWEEK 14 LINE-UPS

Can I get your advice please lads?

    Current team is
    Ramsdale (Foster)
    TAA/James/Cancelo (Livramento/Duffy)
    Salah/Son/Raphinha/Gallagher (Brownhill)
    Vardy/Antonio/Hwang
    2 FT 0.2 ITB

Which of these would you do if any?

    1) Vardy and Antonio to Ronaldo and Dennis
    2) Vardy and Brownhill to Dennis and Jota - move to 3-5-2 - leaves enough cash for Duffy to Reguilon too for a bit
    3) Vardy and Son to Ronaldo and Jota

I was all about number 2 until Ronaldo’s performance tonight. I don’t really want to bin Son ahead of Norwich but a lot of funds in him currently.

Seriously considering 1 even for a hit. My only hold back is I have King already so would be a double up with King/Dennis.

Might be alright after their City game and especially with the lack of striker options in the game

Bizarre week for me. Capped Alonso at the last minute over Salah. Obviously a disaster.

But returns from Bernardo, Son, Wilson and obviously Salah means I wasn't hurt as badly as I could have been.

61 all out. How'd you all do?

Watched the first half and the last 15 mins. Had one half chance near the end on the stretch(looked like he might've tweaked his hammy), but was no real threat apart from that. Brentford looked pretty poor as well

Actually had an accumulator pay out.

25p bet on 7 matches, for a win of £27. If West Ham had beaten Brighton I would've won another £50, and had 2/4 payouts.

Now I have more money to spend on accumulators! Wheee

Jota has 8 goals so far, only 2 bonus points. Even when he scored 2 against Soton, only got 1 bonus point. That is ridiculous.

I'm starting to think Bilva/Gundo/Mount are better picks.

Popular 'thinking' would be to sell Raphinha because of trickh fixtures v teams that have conceded in recent weeks and Leeds ars improving.

Unpopular 'thinking' would be to sell Son.
