Good luck to everyone who captained someone other than Salah. You deserve to be rewarded for swimming against the tide! Captain points for all hopefully!!!

Not really. They deserve exactly the points they get, whether that's a blank or a haul

I haven’t captained him in a few weeks just because I find it a bit boring. Not been fun for my rank but only lost out on 5/6 points in total. Went Mount in midweek and Son for this weekend

Yeah that’s not as risky as I’ve gone in other weeks especially with Salah having a tough away fixture

Yep. I know the feeling had him since GW1, the only person in my league to do so. Now everyone has brought him in and left Captaincy on him.. game has become a bit dull now.

Its hard to get used to but ultimately the right move by fpl to introduce it. Too many people were taking advantage of early team news, meanwhile other people couldn’t because they were asleep due to time zones etc.
I actually emailed fpl about it at the end of last season and asked them to introduce a 2 hour dead line plus my reasoning why.

True but it changed the game for the worse imo, wasn’t a level playing field and pre deadline was just a clamber to see if news is leaked on Twitter, this in hand led to an increased amount of fake news also.

Some but that’s a small amount and when you have mid week games that might be a different matter altogether when people have work next day etc

            I agree.

You'd switch your bench or worse on news that didn't pay back.

It was also unfair to those not available in general.

So not sure Rockstar was doing such a good fpl service and he was feeling the heat for a while too.

Pity us on the dark side of the Earth. I was all set up for a 6.30 kick off only to realise it's 7.30. I'll get the hang of it in 4 months I'm sure. I don't trust myself within 4 hours of the deadline.

On the TV. But when it rains (and it's the rainy season) the signal gets washed away. So I resort to a dodgy stream - until the wifi gets washed out.
But on a good day we get it all, including your 3 o'clock kickoffs.

At the start of the season Bruno Fernandes was widely said to "essential", but now still no-one seems to be picking him despite a perceived new manager bounce. Is he worth considering with United fixtures so good, or is it all about Ronaldo?

Moyes loves to tweak his lineup according to the opponent. Especially against the big boys. Think Fornals and Benny will start in easier games as usual.

It looks like next year they will have Federico Chiesa, I think he is one of the best players in the world, if they buy Chiesa they will have a decision if they want to sell Havertz.

Ok sorry, also I was overrating a bit saying Havertz is overrated, I think he has a lot of potential but he is not as good currently as people say he is.

He's on loan from one poor Serie A team to another poor Serie A team and nothing special this season. Well below Premier League standard so hard to gauge how he can do. As Conte says he can potentially be a great player, potentially. In fairness Salah wasn't amazing in Serie A, but neither was Aquilani!

What we can say for the best managers in the world Guardiola Klopp Tuchel Conte etc. if that they are the most knowledgeable people about football in the world and they best scout, so I think Conte saying his words if he doesn't become one of the best players in the world it is his fault, suggests that it will happen.

I just saw Liverpool have a +31 goal difference, that is insane.

It's what happens when you score more 31 more goals than you concede. Simple maths. Totally sane.

Knowing my luck, I’ll have had Antonio for all these blanks, bench him today & he’ll score a brace, sit on my bench & ruin my double up of James and Rudiger..

I did the same, but being a West Ham fan if he scores i will be happy. If we don't score at least i have the double defense pts to help dry my tears.

I am fairly confident with my same Chelsa double up and I sold Antonio a good few game weeks ago when fixtures stiffened. I knew many were afraid to sell because of tied up value. I will not lose much value if I wish to buy him back at this stage.

I think it is more likely that Antonio pulls his hamstring than he scores against Chelsea. As he does not seem to be on form, is playing wider, and Chelsea will likely tighten up after conceding in the last game they played.
West Ham will struggle over Christmas and how they manage Antonio.

Why start Antonio if you have double Chelsea defence?

      I put him on bench

Not that me playing double che defense will stop him from scoring in real life...
        Rather start an 8m attacker than a 4.5 defender(livra)

Does anybody know what the little ghost is on fpl live and what is the difference to the shrug emoji? Just even higher ownership?
Also do the games need to start before this week's team appears?

Ghost means most danger to rank
Shrug means very highly owned and barely no affect on rank
