Watford v Man City team news: Foden, Gundogan and Grealish return

After some underwhelming Fantasy returns in the first four Gameweek 15 fixtures of the day, there is a real chance for owners of Manchester City players to steal a march on those going without any this evening.

Pep Guardiola’s troops are away at Watford, who are now the only club without a clean sheet in 2021/22.

Kick-off at Vicarage Road is at 17:30 GMT.

There aren’t any real shocks with the two teamsheets, despite Pep Guardiola making five changes from the midweek win over Aston Villa.

Jack Grealish makes his first City start in a month, while Kyle Walker, Aymeric Laporte, Ilkay Gundogan and Phil Foden are all recalled after missing out through injury or suspension on Wednesday.

Guardiola’s pre-match comments about Foden, released from embargo on Friday evening, did plant a seed of doubt about whether the England international would feature from the off but he’s thrown straight back into the action tonight.

Nathan Ake, Oleksandr Zinchenko, Fernandinho, Riyad Mahrez and Gabriel Jesus make way from the starting XI, with the latter’s demotion to the bench perhaps the closest thing to an eyebrow-raising decision from the unpredictable City boss.

Watford’s team news is much more straightforward, with Claudio Ranieri making just the one change from the side that began the 2-1 loss to Chelsea on Wednesday. It’s an expected one, too, as Danny Rose comes in for the injured Adam Masina at left-back.

GAMEWEEK 15 LINE-UPS

Watford XI: Bachmann, Femenia, Troost-Ekong, Cathcart, Rose, Louza, Dennis, Cleverley, Sissoko, Pedro, King.

Subs: Elliot, Ngakia, Morris, Gosling, Fletcher, Tufan, Kabasele, Hernandez, Kucka.

Manchester City XI: Ederson, Cancelo, Dias, Laporte, Walker, Gundogan, Rodri, Grealish, Silva, Sterling, Foden.

Subs: Steffen, Carson, Stones, Ake, Jesus, Zinchenko, De Bruyne, Fernandinho, Mahrez.

Just a quick comment to all those that feel like quitting FPL today.

    Don't do it.

I felt the same way last week. I took a big risk and captained Alonso--resulting in another big red arrow. It ruined my weekend and made me pretty depressed, to be honest. I was very close to quitting.

But I made a deal with myself this season to not give up no matter what, and to see it through to the end for a change.

This week I'm doing much better and jumped up back into the top 100K again. This game is a rollercoaster of ups and downs. Next week could be your week. Don't give up.

Boring transfer, but I'm trying to improve my bench options and ship out a failed gamble!

    Frazer to McGuinn
    Coady to Ben Davis

Both McGuinn and Davis seem assured of starts. Spurs have a decent run of fixtures and look more defensively sound under Conte.

Anyone looking at a foden Gundo/Bilva double up?
Offer great value and in 17 and 18 face Leeds and Newcastle
Personally looking at a foden gundo double up and even if they get say 3/4 appearances combined There are huge hauls on offer there.

Better underlying stats and I did watch the game as well,Silva literally had 2 shots and scored both he’s in hot form and I doubt he can sustain it
Gundogan has the better numbers and took up better positions as well imo.
I think he’s due a few big hauls
And so is Phil Foden who was by far the most threatening player on the pitch

3 gws ago when it was betwen Bernardo and Gundogan for me i pick Gudno to go bit diferent and got 13+0+6 pts from him vs Beranrods 2+10+15, so now should i admit fail and swap Gudno for Bernardo or stick...

Personally, I prefer to stick in this.
      possibly too stubborn.

Exact money for this mini WC:
Kane + Mitchell + Cornet to Lukaku + Robertson + Gilmour

      Too early for Lukaku imo

perhaps but with two plum home fixtures in Leeds and Everton up next might be worth the risk

Cant remember a time I had to deal with so many injuries. In the last few weeks I've had Chilwell, James, Alonso, Normann, Foster, McCarthy and Foden injuries to deal with.
Is it worth a hit to do McCarthy, Alonso, Gallagher to Guaita, Reguilon and Bowen?
