FPL Gameweek 19 team news: Injury updates on City, United, Toney, DCL and more

We’ve got further team news for Gameweek 19 after more Premier League managers staged their pre-match press conferences on Thursday.

There were slightly fewer conference calls than expected, however: from the initial list of 10 pressers we received, Antonio Conte has shifted his briefing to Friday and both Claudio Ranieri and Bruno Lage dropped out of media duties after Wolves v Watford was called off.

We still have news from Manchester City, Manchester United, Everton, Burnley, Newcastle United, Brentford and Southampton to bring you, at least, plus some quotes from Chelsea and Leicester City from last night.

FPL Gameweek 19 team news: Injury & Covid updates as Ronaldo resumes training

Managers of any teams not mentioned above who have Gameweek 19 fixtures still standing will presumably face the media on Christmas Eve.

With the coronavirus pandemic, of course, much can happen between a press conference and kick-off, so keep tabs on our site and the below article for the latest updates.

    Still feeling like Salah would probably be the best captaincy candidate for GW20 given he would be fully rested and most other players have a game a few days before e.g. only 1 full day rest for Son between CRY/SOU. Tough one.

        Yep and motivated (in addition to rested) to increase his lead in the golden boot race before he leaves?

        Just not sure if Ronaldo plays 90 vs. NEW/BUR/WOL in 7 days. Son maybe more nailed given lack of alternatives. Man City has a very good fixture in GW20 too but good luck not being burned by rotation!

      For me, it's a case that the replacement (likely Son) will score more over the next 5 weeks, even if Salah does have a blinder against Leicester - but holding until after might price out of other moves with all those moving early to ship Salah

      Salah's definitely the best captain in GW20 imo and will have lower ownership than usual. One of the main reasons I'm strongly considering FH this week.

    A. Salah & Antonio to Son & Ron. Would only have 11 players so no bench in case of post-deadline postponement.

    B. Salah & Dennis to Son & Ron plus another transfer to downgrade elsewhere (likely to bench fodder) for -4 but have 12 players as it stands.

      Majority of the games have 3pm KO. With a 1:30pm deadline, we should know by the deadline if those go ahead. Ensure the majority of the FH players are in the those game

        From FPLStatistics:

        When a player is injured (0% chance of playing), suspended or on loan his price can still change in value. However, once his status has changed (to fully available) his price will be "locked".

    As a Salah and Son owner, it's a shame that everyone seems to be going Salah to son (which seems an obvious choice), as it erodes my differential over my rivals.

    So to keep my advantage, should I go Salah to KDB, or Salah + Gelhardt to Ramsey + Ronaldo?
