We may have waved farewell to Euro 2012 just less than a week ago but already Fantasy managers can start to plan for the domestic season ahead, with the news that the official Sky Sports game is now open for business.

The first Fantasy game released for the 2012/13 season, there is £100,000 in prizes to be won in this free-to-enter competition, with a cool £25K handed out to the winner. With Sky quick out the blocks on the back of today’s updated tv fixture list, rival competitions are likely not to be too far behind, forging a sense of anticipation amongst the community as we await the opening of the upcoming Fantasy Premier League (FPL) game.

Already, we’re looking over the Sky game and weighing it up for inclusion amongst our official Scout Leagues – for now, this is just a heads-up but stay tuned…

"Gylfi did fantastic for me at Swansea last season," said the boss. "He wasn't playing at Hoffenheim, I brought him to Swansea and he did very well for me there, scored seven goals in 19 games and was very, very good.

"He and I both sat and spoke and believed that playing football was going to be the most important aspect for him. But obviously it was important financially so we agreed a deal for him to go to Swansea and that was wrapped up.

"I then became the Liverpool manager, and that then wasn't something that was going to happen at Swansea. So he then had a choice of where he wanted to go. I knew what the market was and I wasn't prepared to pay anything over what I had known was agreed before.

"Liverpool would have provided Gylfi with a wonderful opportunity to perform with a manager that he knows and at a club which is a real footballing institution.

"But he's decided to go to Tottenham, for whatever reason. I wish him the best, he's a good kid and there's no ill feeling. We've got other targets and we'll move on."

Makes a Lucas a good pick.

Even though he was injured from around December, he was still top of successful tackles for Liverpool by April. Plenty of passes too.

    No. Your problem was not being able to hit the barn door (or to be able to hit the door but only the edge of it so it never went quite in thebarn). You would have been better with Lucas no doubt but under Kenny,with that squad even if with Lucas you weren't getting 4th.

  Thats an average of 49 every 90 minutes, which is good, but not amazing.
  
  52 successful tackles over the same amount of minutes.
  
  An average of 4.3 tackles every 90 minutes, which is far above any of the other players ive been looking at, even defenders.
  
  If Lucas dos play regularly he will be a good pick if he can get the odd goal and assist, although in 12 starts last season he got 5 yellow cards, 0 goals, 0 assists, but did get 1 Motm.
  
  At 4.6m on Sky, he is defo one to watch. Hopefully Rodgers will take a shine to him.

Anyone else become a victim of their own success? I have won my cash league two years on the bounce and now alot arent wanting to join as they dont see the point. We have a decent prize structure and monthly prizes but the participants reducing annually 🙁

      In truth, I have a similar problem with some friends, who seem to merely what to pick a team at the start and let it ride untouched all season.. That makes for a decent one night down the pub, but does bugger all for me during the season.
      
      Fortunately, I have a separate, long-established, mini-league with former work past which is very competitive.

        Yeah I got lucky last year it was competitive to the end.
        
        I have another league where the main guy is pretty good but i had to discard that league and title challenge to focus on the cash one.

Right after reading through teams of accusations on my behalf of having multiple accounts, let's settle this once and quell the conspiracies! Will one of the moderators run an IP address check

Also Aatish, I am at school on weekdays so that eliminates me being able to post from 7am - 4pm
I also have work on Wednesdays from 6pm - 8pm. Baring in mind I have a social life and have other interests my Saturdays are usually spent doing other things from time to time and on Sundays I have work from 11am - 5.30pm.

Tell me again how could I possibly be posting on Messimerized, Happy Ankit, Jedward13 (whoever that is), Rick, Football is Life and more? The hammer has struck now let's leave it at that.
