Watford v Spurs team news: Lucas joins Son and Kane in front three

The in-form Son Heung-min and Harry Kane face the only Premier League side without a clean sheet this season in the day’s solitary 3pm kick-off.

Son has six attacking returns in his last five appearances, while it’s three in three for Kane.

Watford v Tottenham Hotspur is the next Double Gameweek 21 fixture off the rank, following Manchester City’s last-gasp win over Arsenal.

There are no real surprises with the Spurs teamsheet, with Son and Kane joined by Lucas Moura in a front three at Vicarage Road.

The Brazilian is one of two players recalled to Antonio Conte’s starting XI, with Oliver Skipp also returning. Harry Winks and Dele Alli drop to the bench, while Giovani Lo Celso is also among the substitutes after overcoming a calf problem.

Claudio Ranieri has made three changes following his side’s 4-1 defeat by West Ham on Tuesday, with William Troost-Ekong, Imran Louza and Ken Sema back in the line-up.

Kiko Femenia is injured, while Cucho Hernandez and Ozan Tufan drop to the bench.

Ben Foster is not ready to return despite stepping up his training this week.

Son scored the only goal of the game when these sides last met in August, although the teams were under different management at that point.

Sergio Reguilon claimed maximum bonus points to supplement his clean sheet in that fixture.

Lol, ref saying Lloris got the ball but he clearly didn't, why not VAR?! Awful ref, probably the worst in PL, also stopping Joao Pedro before and giving YC to Skipp

On sky sports news they watched the slow motion replay having thought it was a penalty. There said he got the ball, no pen

What's gone wrong with VAR lately. We've gone from tonnes of marginal lengthy decisions to completely inexplicable bad calls every week

The amount of these has risen so much, that hard to think that it could be just coincidence. Haven't checked a lot of medical articles, but at least after severe covid the risk to die during next year was quite big.

How do you know this since previously it wouldve just been st Johns people attend and often games just continued unawares. A couple of recent incidents to high profile players have increased awareness and expectation that onsite specialists respond to crowd incidents. This has zero to do with covid

Just using some common sense. Team medics now respond to these incidents as a matter of course, which requires stopping the game whilst they're busy.

When others upthread make multiple assumptions, including your increase in incidents, it's worth pointing out the obvious

Covid could cause it, not the vaccine; people haven’t been moving much over the last two years, so people are also unhealthier.

There's also a massive backlog of people who have not presented with early symptoms who will be taken more seriously I'll in the next year or so

In this case it just seems more probably that we actually are made aware it's happening because of the change in response, rather than commentators either not even knowing or mentioning in passing that St John's are responding to something in the crowd. Which happened just as regularly as this

                Not exactly.
They are stopping games on any sort of medical incident. Cardiac arrests have not been the reason for all these stoppages
Its just an issue of greater awareness.

I used to steward a first division team . Practically every other match you were called upon coz someone taken a turn . Sometimes it was more serious...but the match was never stopped

Exactly. If you lean towards the vaccine rather than the virus as the cause, it says something about your influences or motivations.

It's the equivalent of your spouse coming home and a few times a month they say "terrible weather out there" and you go "tornado?!" Every time

Unfortunately they're everywhere and take any chance to tell you why you're now infected with 5G but how they can save you if you overthrow your government

I’m not an anti vaxxer by any stretch, but it is definitely worrying how many of these incidents have happened in the last 2 years.

Sometimes it's easy to brush things aside as far as it doesn't affect you or your loved ones. But yeah let's accept everything without scrutinizing.

The link between the vaccine and heart problems is well established.

Not as well established as the link between the virus and heart problems.

Generally correct, although young men have a higher chance of getting myocarditis or pericarditis from the vaccine than from COVID.

This is absolutely true, especially in children.
