As we look forward to the 2022/23 season, we at Fantasy Football Scout are frantically working behind the scenes to make improvements for our site users and subscribers.

We have a number of exciting developments in the pipeline but we’ll need an additional body or two to help us roll out the changes we have planned.

We are therefore looking to add two new recruits to our growing technical team – a full-time full-stack developer (mainly back-end) and a part-time front-end developer.

We mostly work remotely but, on the odd occasion, we like to get together in person – so if you are able to travel to London now and again, that would be beneficial.

However, those that work outside of the capital should most definitely still apply. Talent is more important to us than postcode!

Flexibility of hours is also preferable.

Based on past experience with our job adverts, we need to stress that it may take a little time to look through and respond to applications.

If you want to get involved with the next chapter of the site, please drop us a line with your CV at jobs@fantasyfootballscout.co.uk.

So chelsea has 6 games in 18 days after IB.

    2nd April vs Brentford (H)
7th April vs Real Madrid (H) CL
    9th April vs Soton (a)
13th April vs Real Madrid (a) CL
16th April vs Palace FA Cup semi ( Blank gw)
    20th April vs Arsenal (H)

Is it worth getting Reece James in now?

Have a feeling Tuchel might manage his mins given the ipersisting injury concerns lately.

His upside is huge though.11 attacking returns in 13 pl starts

Currently, I'm thinking - yes, I'm very wary of Chelsea's schedule & will limit my team to just one Chelsea (much as I'd like to get James & Havertz). But James probably needs some minutes before Real Madrid, and if he starts Brentford, a plausible pattern seems like play RM, rest Soton, play RM, rest Palace, play Arsenal. Its speculative, I know, but if there's a chance he only missed one league game then I definitely want him

I'm in a similar line of thinking. As long as I don't have any further injury/availability issues from the IB, my bench is fine and I have 2FT this week so I'm in a good spot to get him in now. I haven't had any luck with either him or Chilwell this season so I'm hoping getting a bit of a jump on him now will work out.

It's a hard one to call, I don't think it will turn out to be a disaster, Klopp has spoken about TAA (and Liverpool on the whole) defending better lately and it seems Robbo is the main attacking outlet so it may do you better. Thinking about it myself but really it'll depend on TAA's injury. If he's out I'll do it and stick with it for the remainder of the season

anyone else considering selling kane for ronaldo on a gw31 wildcard? Would set up well for next 3 gameweeks and then intend to swicth back to Kane for rest of the season.

Ronaldo has the extra fixture, but Kane is in sensational form - am I being swayed a bit by that hattrick?

    1. Holmes
      • 10 Years
      2 years, 4 days ago

I'll be doing that. However, I'm also considering Ronaldo instead of Salah, then downgrade Ronaldo to get Salah after 33 allowing to keep Kane.

    2. Nate(U)dog(ie)
      • 3 Years
      2 years, 4 days ago

I think it's a crazy move personally. Ronaldo has been hit and miss, he's only returned in 2 of his last 9 games. Yes it was a good hattrick but even with those fixtures I'd put more trust in someone like Sancho than Ronaldo. Kane is in imperious form and has a good run of games until the end of the season, things look like they're clicking for Spurs now. He's returned in 6 of his last 7 games with 4 of those being 2+ returns. I'm not saying Ronaldo won't get any returns but Kane is the form player in the league right now.

I am also on a GW31 WC and hadn’t even considered that move but yeah really like the idea.

I think there's too much negativity around sharing teams and plans. It helps to write things down and if you give context for why, it can help other people with their own thought process.

I like reading other people's ideas especially around transfer priorities. Sometimes they come up with plans I didn't consider.

  18. FPL Emu

Care to chip in on my strategy from here? I'd be happy to return the favor.

    Dubravka* / Schmeichel*

    TAA / Robertson / White * / Ait Nouri / Doherty

    Salah / Saka * / Barnes * / Kulusevski / Gordon

    Kane / Lacazette* / Toney

2FTs. 1xFH, BB and TC still to play.

I'm trailing pretty hard, after a horrid first half of the season, so I need to make some high-variance moves probably.

My thought is to aim for a GW33 bench boost, as I have to doubling keepers and decent SGW players that week. Likely transfer this week would be at least Toney -> Weghorst, and maybe something else?

Another option is to slap the TC chip on some player in GW33, and start building towards a team with more City and Chelsea, perhaps.

    Thoughts?

    1. Camzy

That definitely looks like a BB33.

I'd do something like BB33, FH36, TC35 or 37 depending on where the fixtures fall and who is in form.

GW34 you just take some hits for City players imo. That will set you up well for the run-in.

      1. FPL Emu
        • 13 Years
        2 years, 4 days ago

Yeah, sounds like a good plan. Would be lovely if a nice TC fell to 35 or 37.

I've actually also considered a FH 34, to triple up City against Watford at home and Chelsea against West Ham at home. But maybe I am overestimating how easy it will be to get a good team of full doublers out for GW36 without a chip.

It will be very easy to get a full team of doublers out for GW36. The difficulty is making those doublers good hence FH36.

            • 13 Years

Yeah, and being able to choose the players likely not to be rested that match is worth a lot too. For all we know the league may be over at that point, even

With so many doubling there's loads of routes to points, even if you don't have all the premium picks in gw36.

BB33 and you've got Leicester, Southampton, Newcastle players to sort through.

Possible GW33 Bench boost team without any hits:

      Dubravka (CPL, LEI)

White (sou, che) / TAA (MUN) / Mee (whm, SOU)

Barnes (new, eve) / Maddison (new, eve) / Fernandes (NOR, liv) / Saka (sou, che)

Kane (BHA) / Lacazette (sou, che) / Weghorst (whm, SOU)
