Mark Sutherns’ FPL Gameweek 38 preview and transfer plans

The one and only Mark Sutherns is back to survey the Fantasy Premier League (FPL) landscape in our latest exclusive video for Premium Members of Fantasy Football Scout.

Mark is joined by Luke Williams to look ahead to the final Gameweek of the season.

“Mild panic” is setting in as injuries and rotation risks threaten to derail what is a juicy-looking Gameweek 38, with the pair discussing the merits of taking hits on the final weekend.

The Mohamed Salah (£13.1m) to Son Heung-min (£11.2m) move also dominates discussion as Luke and Mark discuss their own team, captaincy and transfer plans for Gameweek 38.

      I wouldn’t take a hit or I’d do -4 maximum. With a lead like that, you are basically giving points away for free. although I’d say 70 points lead is pretty much done.

    Any idea would be welcome here.

    Leading ML with 13 point and doing my best season so far (8000 atm) and would love to climb a bit more.

    My dilemma is that the person behind me is having son and not Kane, so he will most likely captain son.

    Is it worth for me to take a hit to bring in son and block his points or just play my game and captain Kane?

    Can’t bring myself to start Cancelo but I still have him ahead of Watkins on the bench - might swap that. Do James and Alonso start?

      Some bold moves there, regarding Dubravka choice, Coufal ahead of Cancelo, also benching Rich. Let's see if they materialize.

      Personally I'd get a "safer" keeper such as Mendy, Schmeicel or Lloris. I'd also favour Cancelo or Rich ahead of Coufal.

    Miraculous comeback in my money ML by captaining Maddison last week and KDB the week before. I’m now leading by 20 points so C choice is big!

      He’s facing an Arsenal side that’ll still be highly motivated. If they were competing with anyone else for top 4 they’d have probably given up any hope but as the legend SAF once said ‘lads, it’s Spurs’
