    Ederson, Areola,

I would probably have a lot of benching headaches if I get a good 4th defender...

I like your team! Very flexible. Personally I would probably opt for Chil instead of James, Mbeumo instead of Mitoma (cause you have Pedro), Gabriel/Saliba instead of Shaw. Marti could perhaps be changed to Bruno or Ode? But very good!

Who of your front 8 are you benching week 1? (Genuine question as I have the same from 8 other than Ode instead of Mart)

I’d downgrade Ederson personally even if you just bank the money for now

Anyone feel starting the season playing James and Chilwell is worth a gamble? I'm probably going to go for it, need a few fun picks outside of template that will be starters. Will just take the high chance of no clean sheet in gameweek 1 on the chin and see what attacking returns they can offer this season under Poch, then hope for a James penalty presuming he will be on them while Nkunku is out

Think Gabriel/Saliba offer better PPG until IB. Then can see how Chilwell/James look.

      Currently on Chilwell/Saliba/James + 4.5/4

Is FPL review the best one for this? Is the free tool fine to use or is the paid version worth it? Thanks

Yep, Review is the best. Think paid one is better because you can plan for more than 5GWs (not to mention better accuracy), but the free one is also very good.

Final decision for me is Salah or no Salah. Seems to come down to:

    A. Salah, Pedro, Chilwell (442)
    B. Bruno, Watkins, Mitoma (352) +0.5 itb

How long does it normally take for a player to be switched to a different club on FPL after a full transfer ? Still not happened with Matt Turner and I think we may have just one FPL update to come (in the early hours tonight).

    Hey guys,
Fairly settled on this team but still tinkering with a few spots. Have brought Salah in and out a few times over the past week.

    Onana
    Gabriel Estu Chilwell
    Salah Rashford Saka Mbuemo Eze
    Haaland J.Pedro

Turner Kabore Baldock Mubama 0.5 ITB

Still tossing up a few options:
    A) Chilwell vs Stones
    B) 1- Salah, Eze & J.Pedro
    2- 2 of Bruno/Marti/Ode & Watkins

    1. Under my Cucurella
      • 10 Years

Essentially the same as my current draft.

      A - Chilwell
      B - 1 but it's close. I'm also debating a similar choice (Pedro/Eze vs Watkins/4.5)

    2. Onana….where’s…
      • Fantasy Football Scout Member

Same debate for me (and plenty others I’m sure) on Salah.

I am quite new to really starting to think about it so excuse me if this is REALLY obvious but does it come down to captaincy? In years gone by, Salah was often the prime captaincy candidate but with Haaland, it changes the game a little so really it’s a straight up equation on exp. points from the combination?

Salah might outscore Bruno by 40 points over the season but Marti/Ode and Watkins could outscore Pedro & Eze by 30 (?) each and Pedro is new to the league / rotation risk?

Seems like a lot of people thinking short term for wk2 captaincy….is that what the best people do with an early-ish wildcard?

(For context, I’ve been happy with a top 100k finish so please feel free to laugh at me!)

I am pretty sure that Haaland is I’ll not be the highest scoring player in GW1. It is just tough to make the right call. But I absolutely hate the idea of not even trying to make that call if I am sure Haaland does not score more than 1.

I'm not convinced about Haaland for GW1 either. It's 6 PL games and a community shield without a goal now but it's a big risk going without given his ownership. I'm planning to reduce the risk by owning but not captaining.

most likely you are right that someone will outscore Haaland. always liked to see those teams with highest score per GW, their rank usually is below 50% OR.
who do you have in mind then?
      Rash against WOL new manager?
      Saka?

Separate question, do you not think this ‘new’ extra time is over stated? Stoppage time is not new, there will just be a tiny bit more & the timewasting will calm down a lot as a result when players realise they can’t get away with it.

Feels like the fantasy community think the games will start lasting for 120 mins, will probably be 5 mins more than normal until the players realise.
