there's a lot of people who have many chelsea and arsenal players, that will include many dead bus teams who will have the likes of saka, jesus, martinelli, jackson, and chilwell.

Those with triple Chelsea/double Arsenal could realy shoot up the ranks tomorrow if their popular players do well

I am stuck with Ahamada and fine with that. Now my midfield four has to do the business for me. Once I move on Chilwell and Disasi, I will upgrade Ahamada 4.4 to Sarr 4.6.

I don't want to be sat with trying to figure out who the best 5th midfielder is to own each week. It is a fecking pain.

I am happy to leave Haaland, Alvarez and Edouard up top for the foreseeable.

Yea exactly the same. I keep looking at my team every week and thinking, well I have no injuries, I have a pretty strong bench to cover any issues, my starting 11 are all doing ok, or dont have bad fixtures lol.

Its really tricky knowing what to do, and in the past, I have been bitten in the backside for taking out such players.

That said. I dont want my team to feel stale, and it does a bit, but that's probably just because it was a bad week.

Think I will do this week:
      Wissa>Alvarez
      and maybe Foden>Diaby

Looked decent today, good runs just quite wasteful and wayward with his shooting. Apart from the Burnley game though I'm not so sure I'd really love to get a ManUtd attacker. Palace and Brentford will likely be tight games, think I'd rather wait until Sheffield Utd after the next IB at earliest, or even after City which is the week after

I'm a utd fan & we are rubbish.

Realy dont get all these content creators with double utd mids (some utd fans themselves) trying to justify the selection because of utds good fixtures. We were rubbish versus wolves & since then issues with antony/sancho & brought injured amrabat & hojlund

Fans were booing at the hojlund sub today but you can tell ETH had to do it because he's playing with an injury

You can probably blame Andy for Man U popularity, in part. Firstly he has the biggest audience and supports Man U, secondly, all the other content creators copy him I think (the sheep ones anyway).

Its the same with these Chelsea pickers as well, there is always this odd Chelsea cult following where people insist on having garbage unproven chelsea assets at the start of every season. I'm not sure who exactly is responsible for the chelsea hysteria, but most content creators do have double chelsea players.

        1. Camzy

I don't think it's that. It's the fixtures just have fallen in such a way that getting 'proven' United assets was popular and then Chelsea had a big fixture swing and a (seeming) false dawn vs Luton.

They were 'logical' moves within the traditional FPL framework.

It's also why people have avoided Alvarez - City players have a stigma around them for being rotation risks - Alvarez in particular has a history of being a rotation player.

Add in the fact you'd be buying two forwards from the same team which is visually and instinctively a bit jarring and it doesn't surprise me at all that he's such a differential.

There is a traditional FPL framework and being able to see beyond it and find where real value is - that's the edge.

Last time I did this on a CL week it was for Chilwell who went on to pick up an ACL injury midweek so I sure hope that nothing similar happens again!

    2FT. 0.4 ITB.

Alvarez is doing my head in. If Sterling blanks again tomorrow how does this look (switch to 3-4-3):

    Sterling > Hamer/Sarr
    Archer > Alvarez

My other two forwards are Haaland and Darwin. I want to keep Darwin for the next few weeks as I’m convinced he’s gonna bang.

    1. ZeBestee

Thanks mate. I seem to do quite well at catching Darwin’s hauls so hoping another is on the horizon over the next couple. West Ham are a good team but they gave up a shed load of chances today (albeit vs the best team in the world).

          • 11 Years

Yeah Darwin is a fantastic option. Klopp needs to realize this and find a way to start him every single gameweek. Gakpo just doesn't cut it in the PL imho.

100% agree. Gakpo has other qualities and is a solid rotation option but for pure attacking threat Salah-Darwin-Diaz is the one. I actually think that would have been the starting three today had the international break not come around.

I know many people aren't looking at him, but am thinking one of Jackson/Watkins 》Wilson. Probably will keep Watkins as I can see a goal or 2 against Chelsea for him then fixtures change.

Yeah, Isak should start in Milan. Think Howe was keeping him fresh so didn't do his normal striker substitution today. Decent chance Wilson starts against Sheffield Utd next weekend in my opinion.

    2. The Iceman
      • 3 Years

Problem with Wilson is he’s already a rotation risk with Isak and even more so once the CL starts. Shame because he’s a quality option when he plays.

      1. ZeBestee
        • 11 Years
        2 years, 2 months ago

As much as Isak is a fantastic player, he isn't just as good as Wilson in terms of numbers(goals). Think they need to start him up fron if they want to start getting them wins.

          • 3 Years

Agree with you. Perhaps Howe may go with Isak in the UCL for the extra pace on the counter and Wilson in the PL.

I don't see your point. Flekken scored got one point today.

So who are you going to pick, GK who will make loads of saves or GK to get you one point?

Areola is the GK to own irrespective of opposition.

    A) Hamer

    C) Other?

Can't expect very much for 5m. Prob better with 4.5m fodder and use tge 0.5m elsewhere.

      Price for sure
Trippier is just 'fairly' priced vs. many other players underpriced. With Son and Salah becoming of interest for people again, it encourages budgeting less into defence

Turner may lose his spot. You have to plan just incase the next DGW pops up.

I just thinking money better spent elsewhere on the pitch vs one possible DGW where you might get an extra 2 points

I got Areola in about an hour ago. Have Vicario as well. After LFC for Areola, Vicario and Areola rotate very well.

Resets how? There aren't any resets apart from players that go immediately from red flagged to available. No reason why or how there could be that many transfers post-deadline for Son or Maddison either

There's a slight movement after numbers go wild but it's nothing huge, think it's more to do with wildcards being fully registered by that stage (as fplstatistics asks players to state if they've used theirs for more accurate prediction) as well as some only activating them last minute

I made a few predictions this season which have come to fruition, albeit me not taking them all. Made a prediction Mbeumo will do well in gw2 and brought him in for Rash. Also made prediction before Son hatrick, but somehow chickened out on bringing him in. Another 1 is before this gw, had a feeling Son will blank.

If Wilson doesn't start against Milan or starts and does well, he is an automatic transfer in.

You're probably not making that bad of a decision most of the time. Those should start to come in.

Hope Son doesn’t do what he did last season again and score a hat trick then go missing for the rest of the season.

Find it crazy he’s scored a hat trick 4 seasons in a row now, can’t be many that have achieved that feat.

He has Arsenal and Pool next. I won't be very confident owning until those fixtures pass. He may do fairly well but don't expect hatricks or even braces in those games.

I am not worried about him blanking yet, I am more worried about who I will replace him with if I had to send him packing and get the next midfielder rinse repeat week after week chasing points. If the prices are the same again next season it is going to be rather frustrating.
