Ødegaard owners, are you keeping or moving > Saka/Son?

Yeah had other players to prioritise selling and not taking any hits this season.

I reckon Son first, then get Saka in.

Find it weird that people commit hard to a no-hits philosophy.

If I hadn't taken hits (2 hits so far) I'd be like 50 points behind where I am.

I've gone early and done exactly this, was able to jump on Son and Botman (already owning Maddison and Trippier) - I've already played WC but see sll 4 as long-term holds and the Spurs vs Liverpool fixture isn't anything to be afraid of.

Makes sense depending upon whether you are staring your 4.5 defender and who he is

Would have a three man defence from Trippier, Estupinan, Udogie, Cash and Burn... or could get Burn down a 4.0 and keep 0.5 ITB but beyond the DGW I don't think I want a Luton defender in my starting XI

Yes please! I think your current 4 defenders are sufficient tbh. I had basicqlly the same combo (Chilwell + Trippier, Porro, Estupinan, Digne) and just did Chilwell - Kabore even though I might never start him

He is normally second choice, but he is going to play against Everton and I am guessing Burnley as well, since our captain Tom Lockyer is having a scan on a potential injury (which we don't know much about.) Andersen is his replacement.

Obviously midweek pending, I think I’ll do this:

    Sterling > Bowen.

Maybe it feels wrong because I think he’s due…guess there’s also Chilwell to get rid of.

Chilwell > Dalot the other option

Chilwell will play next few due to Gusto suspension. I can hold it off. Chelsea are rubbish but Fulham (a), and Burnley (a) isn’t awful.

Disasi or Chalobah more likely to come in at RB or even Caicedo

            • 8 Years
            2 years, 2 months ago

Obviously Chilwell won’t be playing RB, but because Disasi (most likely) will move to RB, this means they’ll need an attacking outlet.

Highly doubt Poch plays 4 cb’s, otherwise.

Oh god, yeah I’d be getting rid soon. I just think it’s not as pressing due to the Gusto context.

Rather save my FT’s for an attacking move, hence Sterling.

Of course, I’m sure midweek games with throw up a whole load of new context to decipher.

Currently, Chilwell is fine. Might even bench him against Fulham but I’d expect him to start so he’s decent cover for the likes of Trippier and Estu who most likely play midweek.

HI chaps. need some advice after dropping like a stone this week. My current team is

    Pickford (Turner)
    Botman Udogie Cash (Gusto Baldock)
    Rashford Mitoma Saka Mbeumo
    Alvarez Haaland (Mubama)

0FT (already did Chilly to Botman).

    A) Wildcard to this...

    Areola (Neto)
    Botman Burn Kabore (Udogie Cash)
    Maddison Son Salah JWP (Diaby)
    Alvarez Haaland Morris

    B) Leave it

One thing on Mbeumo is I think the loss of Henry is a big one for Brentford in terms of the balance of their attack.

    1. Athletic Nasherbo
      • 8 Years
      2 years, 2 months ago

Personally, I think expectations were way over for Mbeumo. He is not lethal enough nor playing in a good enough attacking team to consistently return.

What we are seeing with Brentford now is regression which I expected without Toney.

Mbeumo and Wissa are not consistent enough to fill the void and so a drop off was always bound to happen.

Henry injury complicated things, too, as you say.

That being said, I’d expect an Mbeumo goal in the next two. Got the fixtures for it

What gibberish is this? Mbuemo has 4 goals and is second only to Salah on xgi for mids.

        1. Athletic Nasherbo
          • 8 Years
          2 years, 2 months ago

How many of that xgi came in the first few games? Do we think Brentford are in a place to continue allowing Mbeumo to have a high xgi.

xgi doesn’t mean everything, as proven by Jackson. Mbeumo has missed easy chances, and has scored pens.

Cut the gibberish nonsense, this a forum to express opinions.

Some interesting points raised on Areola (SHU) vs Leno (CHE) this GW. Feels that Areola is more likely to get a 6-7 if West Ham keep a clean sheet whereas, Leno could get 10-11 if Fulham manage a clean sheet and maybe even a 3-4 pointer even if he concedes.

Thoughts on whom to go for?

It’s the sort of coin toss decision that you just have to accept if you get wrong.

I can’t see Chelsea not scoring again…but they keep proving as all wrong.

I’d go Leno…I feel like it’s the upside move but wouldn’t be surprised with an Areola CS

2 FT's and need to think about Chilwell now. Tempted to get Gabriel back at 4.7! Or Botman, maybe Schar to be a little bit different.

Yeah Bot or Schar good picks

I struggle to see why Schär was priced at 0.5m more than Botman tbh. For all his goal attempts (twice as many as Botman) last season he only delivered 1 goal & I don't really expect a sudden flurry of attacking returns this season either. Also picks up quite a few YCs

True. Just wonder if he's worth the extra 0.3 now instead of it being 0.5? Or Gabby at 4.7 as Arsenal seem to have settled.

    Haaland Wissa Wilson

Looks good. Not sure Morris is worth it for a 1 week punt though

    Current defenders
    Saliba akanji kabore botman estupinian
Have enough funds to do akanji/saliba to trippier for free, do it or roll transfer?
If I get trippier, I guess start with double Newcastle defence & kabore?

these chelsea stats are crazy, theres now way they can have this amount of touches in the opposition box, that high an Xg and not convert soon. this really does suggest giving sterling another chance considering he has fulham and burnely next

Are Fulham even a bad team? They’ve been alright defensively this season

Fulham rank 2nd last for xGC so far ahead of only Sheffield United.

Still averaging over 2 xGC per game against Palace, Luton, Brentford and Everton if you remove the City and Arsenal games.

Sterling is okay to keep imo. May even be playing #9 with Jackson suspended.

Or Broja gets the gig. He'll be keen to impress. Considering keeping Sterling and doing Archer > Broja for the laff.

How would you prioritize these moves:
    A Eze -> Bowen
    B Chilwell -> Cash
    C Pickford -> Areola
    D Bruno -> Son/Maddi

Granted Arsenal defence has only kept 1 CS, but Gabriel back in the starting XI makes him very appealing at 4.7.
Would you do Mbuemo + Chilwell for Gabriel + Son for a hit (0.0ITB)?

Need to choose one of these to bench this week, who would you go for? Maddison, Sterling, Mbeumo, Alvarez

Got benching completely wrong the last 2 weeks so hoping for better (also going to start downgrading to avoid headaches)!
