    What a game week.

FPL is wide open and the best ever season imho.

59 points for me and I look at it without Salah, a Son captain fail, 3 blanking City attackers and an injured bench of Saka, Estupiñán & Beyer with the bare bones of a starting 11. WC still intact.

    We fight on.

If that falsely ruled offside goal was correctly given, he’d have a return every game he’s played. Form of his life!

Having a stinker of a season so planning to hit the wildcard button. Is this team okay? No Trippier as I have low team value.

    Turner (Areola)
    Cash Porro Burn (Gabriel Taylor)
    Salah Son Maddison Mitoma Gordon
    Haaland Watkins (Archer)

      Good team.

I don't have Trippier either, we're just going to have to suck it up when he does well. Hopefully make up the points elsewhere.

One thing I've noticed this season is my team's poor performances are never the squad's fault - it's the manager getting the 50/50 bench and captaincy calls wrong.

I made the quite befuddling decision to last minute transfer Saka > Richarlison this week, luckily saka stayed benched but my god was richarlison bad.
Should I be using my 1 FT to get him the hell out of my team immediately, or is that a waste of a transfer?
Squad seems to be thin of competition for his role atm given the injuries, but feel like i could be benched.

    Richarlison > Maddison/Diaby?

37 points, OR down 500k spots to ~1m

Team looks pretty good for GW9 but facing a number of price falls over the IB. Should I WC to get Salah and maintain team value or use FT and WC in GW10 as planned.

    Martinez
    Cash - Walker - Burn
    Son (C) - Maddo - Rashford - Saka* - Mbeumo

      It's a difficult one.

Defence could be Cash Trippier & Spurs

Not sure about Martinez in goal.

Midfield could be Salah but Son or Rashford will have to go, but the cheap players like Neto will have to be starters

      You bench is struggling

That could be six or seven transfers ... I would say time for a reset and the IB isn't a bad time to do that

Auto sub sucks tbh. It’s one rule that needs to be changed imo. Manual subs better for differentials. Game needs a new rule with the amount of managers signed up.

-2 auto sub is the reason why some people get depressed from fpl. Maybe they could start looking at ways to reduce pain for some.

Why pick 15 players when you can’t completely manage your team? You are used to this old format, it is boring.

There are over 10 million managers in the game, it will be better if one can fully manage the 15 players for more variations. For starters, they could learn from UCL fantasy & co. BuLi fantasy allows top xi in your squad.

The fellas running fpl are afraid to allow a change.

He scored vs. Chelsea last season. I know since I benched him 🙁

Could be a tough game to call from a defensive standpoint. I think we're capable of scoring but will make a meal of it no doubt.

Reece back makes a big difference. Imagine he'll get a bit of licence to roam vs. Zinchenko given Colwill has good defensive qualities in the other side, and he's got Caicedo to fill in when he takes up those spaces.

Well... At least he started playing immediately after the transfer window closed. Or did he(?) For a player that cheap playing for Arsenal some calculated risks with strong bench may be taken. It's between him and Coufal for me and as Areola owner I'm not sure I want Coufal. Arsenal defended well yesterday. It was quite impressive how Haaland didn't get to touch the ball.

I owned him and he was dropped for tactical reasons at the beginning of the season ... with players back from injury maybe he will be dropped again

I like an Arsenal defender but with Cash, Trippier & Spurs I am not sure where one fits in.

    Another WC 50/50

    A- Salah and Darwin
    or

Going against Haaland and relying on Liverpool seems risky but on form and fixtures it seems like A is the way to go. Thoughts?

Cheap rotating bench players are good for points and TV. Every season is a little different, but we do now have players like Botman, Burn, Udogie, VdV, Cash, Coufal etc and all of them are .5 cheaper than they previously would have been.

BHA/MUN/BOU are not very solid defenses right now. BHA a good team of course but would be wary.

Sure you get reward now, but arsenal away is their hardest epl match of the season. I expect him to score and do well in the next 3 vs Brighton, United, Bournemouth. He’s easy captain for 2 of the next 3.

His fixture difficulty is really GW 12-15. Chelsea, Liverpool, Tottenham, Villa.

Well I plan to sell Haaland gw10 - leave money to get him back in around gw14 - ditch my Villa players as their fixtures turn.
Bournemouth is the only one I would be really worried about as I will have Haaland for Birghton.

It is the 12-15 ones I am really thinking of ditching Haaland for.

Currently my Cap against Brighton. City need to bounce back and Brighton are pretty open at the back. Could be many goals in this one.

    Turner
    Trippier Cash Udogie
    Son Salah Almiron Diaby L.Diaz
    J.Alvarez Haaland

Team looks good. Praying for a good international break and no injuries. Happy with the gw8 wildcard but now the long 2 week wait!

Quality team, with Son, Salah and Tripper

Not sold on Diaz. IB may have come at the perfect time for Diaby. Solid backline.

He was a bit of a differential and a punt if i'm honest but happy to play him. If it looks likely he won't start I can do an easy switch to Bowen.

Yep much prefer Bowen. Think Salah is enough Liverpool, no more no less.

Mbeumo’s blanks are doing my head in but not sure any similarly priced mids are worth bringing in right now. Thoughts on what to do with this?

    Turner
    Cash, Udogie, Burn
    Salah, Son, Maddison, Mbeumo, Mitoma
    Haaland, Alvarez

    (Areola, Gusto, Semenyo, Botman)

Mbeumo has a nice fixture. You could roll? or go for one of Diaby or Bowen?

Yep both good picks. Annoyingly 0.4 off Botman > Trippier which would have been my ideal move. Would need something like Son > Saka to fund that move.

I plan on doing Son to Saka in 10 I think. It's my only route to him and I want him vs one of the worst teams in the league.

    A) Saka and Archer (3-5-2)

I wouldn't be, they have Fulham next. I would want one of them.

Only 6 teams have conceded more than them. They're solid against teams who don't score very much.

Brought in Richarlison this week for Saka (don't ask why).
Who do I IMMEDIATELY replace him with? (Already have Son & Salah)

OR do I give him another week?

keep Rich for sure. I have him too. I went for him over Diaby, just incase Diaby didn't start. Didn't really make much difference in the end.
      Fulham at home next.

You were a bit unlucky though as he could’ve scored 2 in the first half

I am happy to thank Mr Tarkowski for his 2 week service and 7 pt parting gift.

Do I get in Gabriel, Coufal or Lamptey is the question.
