Would you rather have a Palace or a ManU defender for DGW34?

    On WC20 BB34 (No FH)…

Will give me 9 DGW players with the possibility to field 13 without hits by GW34

    Petrovic | Henderson
    Gabriel | Gusto | Branthwaite | Gomez | -Nouri
    Saka | Son | Salah | Palmer | Diaz
    Solanke | Muniz | Haaland

    Let me know your thoughts…

Would you bench Saka or Toney?
Also have Solanke and Watkins but rather play these two.

Saka, just. Kinda fancy Arsenal to push City hard and of course they'll want Saka in the thick of it. I'd perhaps marginally bench Solanke

How does this Wildcard look? Fh34. Bb37

Main issue is 2nd keeper after onana. Don't want petrovic as that closes the door on jackson.....ederson is obvs v expensive. This draft uses all cash. Thanks

    Onana ederson
    Gabriel udogie gusto bradley lascelles
    Salah son saka palmer garnacho
    Haaland darwin isak

      - VVD Salah Nunez

How is this WC? Trying to go alittle away from the template (difficult though)

    Kelleher Dubravka
    Gabriel Udogie Ake Gusto Lascelles
    Salah Saka Son Palmer Gordon
    Watkins Solanke Jackson

MITB for Watkins to Haaland GW31 (will have 0.3M spare)

    Only concerns are:
    - Keepers returning from injury
    - Jackson 9 yellows

    Sa/Pickford

    Bradley/Gabriel/Saliba/Branthwaite/Zabarnyi

Just did quite an enlightening little exercise... probably only relevant for those without a free hit and without a wildcard (or who are wildcarding before DGW34.)

I counted up how many fixtures I'd get in total if I bench-boosted GW34: not just for that week, but from 30-38.

I then counted how many I'd have if I bench boosted a single gameweek instead. I'm considering this because it means you can stay stocked up on City/Chelsea ahead of their double-double, which in turn frees up transfers for Newcastle/City/ManUtd players for 37.... my bench looks pretty good for GW32 so would probably deploy it then.

Turns out I would actually have one MORE total fixture if I bench boosted outside of a DGW.

Moral of the story is, we're not using these chips in isolation. If you're detracting from your squad for the other 8 weeks in order to chase one mega bench boost week that will make or break your season... you're doing it wrong. Marathon not a sprint. (I'd say that last part at least applies even to those who do have WC/FH in play.)

Yeah I've just BB left and the only thing I'll possibly miss is a benched dgw keeper if I BB outside the dgw.

Not fully scoped that route out yet, but if anything I expect BB37 will give me fewer fixtures than either of the other options. I'm well set up with doublers for 34 and much less so for 37.

Yeah interesting. I have fh left but still also considering if I could bb in a different week, for example 35 if the Chelsea/spurs double falls then, as I could then carry those players on the bench in 34. Agree with your overall points though - people are targeting players with one dgw on the horizon who otherwise would absolutely not be a consideration for them

I'm a little short to do those moves and have to make a third transfer by downgrading Walker. Don't think it's worth a -8. so will roll the transfer and take a -4 to do those moves in GW31.

Though if it's a -4 it's probably worth it if you captain Salah this week

Too much risk to exclude Saka in a wc draft?
Plan is to wc 30, FH 34 and BB 37.
Team below gives me 12 dgw and swap out Bradley and Nunez on the way to gw 37 will give me 14 dgw.

      Rather have Saka than Foden.

Not sure why you would try to get to a BB in 7 gameweeks when it is much safer to get to one with much better teams in 4 gameweeks. Especially when you have a FH for 37.

Any changes you'd make to this WC draft? FH 34, BB37 with FT's in between.

    Petrovic Onana
    VVD Udogie Gabriel Gusto Lascelles
    Salah Son Saka Palmer Gordon
    Darwin Watkins Semenyo

5.6 ITB to do Watkins to Haaland before GW31.

I like it, i think you could make a case for a WOL mid or Cunha instead of Semenyo... think youd have just enough to still do the Watkins to Haaland move (I haven't checked).

also, do you mean Watkins to Haaland in GW31, rather than before?

Looks good. Couple of different picks in there. What’s the thinking with semenyo? When will you play him given FH34.

I’d be tempted to just get haaland now rather than lock in a transfer

If I had 0.1m more I would get Muniz. Hoping for a Gabriel fall before the weekend so I can do this. I could have just gone for Mubama for 4,1m but I wanted someone who plays and has a bit of potential to score points on the bench given the rotation at this time of the season. I'll probably downgrade Saka to Richarlison before the Spurs Chelsea DGW which will give me cash to upgrade Semenyo before GW37 when I BB.

    Thoughts on below WC team/strategy??

    Kelleher Petrovic
    Gusto Gabriel Lascelles Porro Bradley
    Richarlison Son Foden Salah Palmer
    Isak Haaland Semenyo

    Wk 31 Roll FT
    Wk 32 Bradley>Walker
Wk 33 Kelleher>Onana, Contingency FT there if needed.
    Wk 34 Free Hit
Wk 35 Roll FT (though could do Salah>Gordon or Gabriel>Maguire)
    Wk 36 Salah>Gordon and Semenyo>Hojlund.
Wk 37 Bench Boost Gabriel>Maguire would mean 15 DGW players

Would you not be playing playing Petrovic against BUR anyway this GW? Kelleher vs SHU probably only has a ceiling of 6/7pts given that you wouldn't expect SHU to have too many shots. I don't think it's worth planning that transfer. I'd just get in Onana now.

Second this. You're an injury or two away from having to take hits for your BB which weakens the gain

Think you'll def want Arsenal mid for 31 home to Luton

Yeah, that’s a concern. Could swap Richarlison out for Havertz in WC.

What do people think of Joao Pedro as an enabler for DGW37? Obviously a risk with his injuries but have a low TV and wouldn’t need him outside of 37

Thanks bud, Havertz has been quality since moving up top, but compared to Odegaard it's a blow out imo

Havertz could be a great differential if he stays up top and doesn't have to drop back to midfield

I say blow out - it's closer than tht but I feel a bit more secure with Odegaard as I know his position will stick and his creativity is better

        Yes sir

It's a good team if you are using BB in 34. What is your plan for DGW 37 though and the likely Spurs and Chelsea double in either 35 or 36?

FTs as I have no more chips after the BB

Ode out to Madi makes sense

Thanks for the heads up on the doubles btw, I didn't know

            It's always tricky navigating them

I prefer to use the chips on the early games because more teams have more to play for - at around 37 it is likley a few title race and relegation candidates have reached a conclusion, and thus rotation is higher and motivation is lower

Am I reading an Everton defensive triple up correctly? I'd probably prefer someone other than Tark and I think I'd prefer a Spurs mid over Ode personally but it's not a bad team

Go hard or go home, up the toffees! Jokes aside, they just happen to have the best value in defence and decent fixtures for the season

The team I want on tonight’s game of spin the wheel is as follows:
        Petrovic, Kelleher
        Gabriel, Udogie, Gusto, Maguire, Lascelles
        Salah, Son, Saka, Foden, Palmer
        Haaland, Darwin, Pedro

This has been changing regularly 😆

I had planned on wildcarding next GW but too many price changes would price me out of some players so I decided tonight I'm going a week early.

Quite frustrating because I still have treble spurs from last gw, my team is actually quite nice for 30. May mean VdV instead of Udogie next week. Only area I can see the saving if priced out.

Why not just Wildcard now. Get your 3rd spurs mid and leave the money in the bank to upgrade to foden or saka next week

What changes would you make here, mates? I will apreciate all your input

    WC team: 0.6 ITB
    Probably FH 34 BB 37

    Onana Petrovic
    Gabriel Udogie Nouri Gusto Bradley
    Salah Saka Son Palmer Garnacho
    Haaland Solanke Muniz

I've had similar drafts when considering playing mine. Main issue for me is that Garnacho and Muniz feels like two cheap attackers - although not sure how you'd free up budget to upgrade them. Think Bradley is a poor choice - Trent aiming to be back soon which means he won't get the minutes you want from a cheap enabler when you have a BB to go

I like Muniz, would have him as cheap forward. Been trying to shoe horn Foden in instead of Garnacho without much luck (unless Haaland goes in which case the team starts to look great). I like Branthwaite over Bradley - not much more, nailed and often good for defensive points

I think it depends on how they manage Trent's minutes after the injury. But they'll share minutes for sure which makes the value of Bradley as a cheap enabler drop off if you're looking for him as a doubler

FH34 and BB37 is the plan. I know WC near BB makes most sense, but 35 or 36 feels late. Will need some hits to correct dead ending into 29, so would you just play WC now? With -4 I'll be on this:

    Pickford
    Pau, Gusto, Porro
    Salah, Saka, Son, Palmer, Foden
    Toney, Watkins

    Areola, Morris, Gabriel, Doughty

Getting Haaland for 31 not easy without another hit so feels like choice is to WC30 now or go without Haaland and WC later.

Really tempted. I like that midfield and can easily afford a decent front line with cash to spare if Trippier or Trent become an option. The EO when Erling hauls will hurt but hopefully will be an overall gain

I’m looking at similar. I have 12.9 itb so I can get Salah for free this week and Haaland next. Still think next gw is the time to WC though. That team is decent for -4, there will be a fair few hits in the coming weeks for a lot of teams.

I have the same problem. I dropped Haaland GW28. I think I really am set on WC35, because the fixtures look good for GW38 for everyone apart from Brighton.

But don't have Haaland, i feel i need him against GW31 to 33

Bowen to Salah, to do but could be tempted to WC , only BB left
        5.7ITB
        Neto (Turner)
        Gabriel Moreno Gusto (Estu, Doherty)
        Saka Palmer Foden Son Salah(c)
        Solanke Watkins (Semenyo)

Watkins to Haaland was the plan, But going to Darwin even on 8 YC's has its advantages.

Do you captain Haaland in 31 with Salah Vs SHU? No. Do you captain him 32 away at Palace when Palmer has shu and Son NFO? Maybe.

It's 33 at home, Vs Luton where the fear is. A game sandwiched between each leg of the Real Madrid tie....
