    How's this for a WC

    Henderson
    Robinson, Davis, faes, porro
    Salah, saka, Palmer, esr, Rogers
    Haaland

    Bench, slicker, Munoz, jebbison, fraser

Sort the defence out and get João Pedro up top. Won't be doing it myself, but I've tinkered with this (same midfield as you)

      Raya, 4.0
Rotating 4.5s (Konsa, Colwill, Robinson, Davis), Faes
      Salah, Saka, Palmer, 5.5, Rogers
      Haaland, Pedro, 4.5

This is what I'm thinking and 5.5 has to be ESR. Thinking an Arsenal defender is better then Raya

Similar to mine, have Pedro up front instead of Fraser. Went for Gabriel and Konsa (good upcoming fixtures soon) up front instead of Porro.

He’s a good player who often passes the eye test, but also tends to underwhelm when it comes to scoring points consistently. Could still be a great pick for their great fixture run. Good luck to you if you take a punt.

Looking at the early Liverpool data and Jota, Diaz, Salah and Trent are hogging all the attacking stats.

This is unlike City where everything mostly flows through Haaland.

Forgoing Salah, pocketing the £5m and going 2 or 3 of Jota, Diaz and Trent seems the way to go.

How long will Jota be nailed for you reckon? I'm happy with 70 mins each week for 7.5m, but not sure how long it's gonna last. Does Slot rotate much ?

Jota is clearly Slot's favoured striker at the moment, so I think he will get the nod every match for now, at least until CL starts

Won’t pull the trigger just yet as it may depend on Solanke news, but how do these moves look?

Nkunku, Eze & Solanke > Palmer, Winks & Pedro (-4)

Rogers would then become 4th mid.

    Thanks

Why is everyone ignoring Semenyo as a replacement for Nkunku? He is surely a 90min man after Solanke's exit.....he has EVE and CHE in the next two which are good fixtures from an attacking perspective.
Rogers hasn't scored any goals/ assists yet and no one can guarantee his mins post GW4....even ESR is getting subbed off before 70mins each time.
    Am I missing something here?

    1. Tommy Template
      • 11 Years

Hes not the striker so Solanke going is irrelevant now they have the new man up top. Good player, not sure hes nailed let alone a 90 minute man. Wasn't last season anyway.

      1. FPL Sanky
        • 2 Years
        1 year, 3 months ago

Why do you think he's not nailed? I am not a cherries fan but I feel he has been their best player.... could have easily got an assist and goal yesterday.....surely he is more nailed than Rogers who can lose his place anytime especially with the mid week matches coming up

        1. Tommy Template
          • 11 Years

Hes probably nailed while hes playing well at the moment which is also true of Rogers I'd argue but Iraola tended to rotate those behind the striker off the top of my head. I could be wrong. Short-term not much wrong with him, the nailed bit was more a long-term outlook potentially.

Thoughts on saving another FT to allow 3 moves next week? No Palmer for captaincy seems to be an issue but other than that it looks fine. Murphy value already dropped so it seems there is nothing urgent on him.

Williams, Wood and Murphy the obvious transfer waiting to happen though.

Own imposed rules where I'm not allowed to make changes to team outside of international breaks.

I'm thinking Salah is best bet. So then I'll probs drop Haaland and spread the cash. By GW8 I'll have 5FT so can easily reshuffle the pack again.

    Flekken
    TAA Porro Robinson
    Saka Jota ESR Rogers
    Haaland Isak Muniz
    Henderson / Murphy Hall Barco

    A) Isak/Murphy > Palmer/Pedro [-4]
    B) Isak > Watkins
    C) Save FT

A probably benches Pedro this week so slightly suboptimal, but gets the team on the Palmer train.

B forgoes Palmer for Villa's run. Murphy sold next week for someone like Eze (LEI, MUN, EVE).

C could do either in a week's time. 2 FTs over international break.

I've got Eze and I'm wondering if I should swap him for Madueke, given the fixtures and form?

I'm a Palace fan and not that confident in the start we've made, along with the squad turmoil. Thinking I'll keep an eye to see if he's worth revisiting when the fixtures turn better in GW8.

Have Haaland & Salah so trying to fit in Palmer too is a bit of a stretch and I'd rather not take hits to cover Chelsea's current squad and good fixtures!

He has Salah Palmer and Saka. With home rotation can they be better than Haaland?

Really want Palmer, is Isak/Gordon to Palmer/Pedro for -4 an illogical move? Can't really shuffle the funds any other way

Newcastle's fixtures aren't great are they

Would mean starting Pedro vs Arsenal though

I’m happy to keep them for the Spurs game, but after that Gordon at least is certain to go.

Yeah they feel like transfers waiting to happen, might pull the trigger on Palmer as 1 price change kills the whole thing

I’m contemplating similar moves. I could keep Gordon or Isak but not sure which.

    Amad or Rogers?

      if Amad keeps playing...

but no, I think Rogers is ultimately more nailed so logically it's him. I will stick with Amad as a self loathing Man Utd fan (22 points on bench this week)

    Raya
    Gabriel Trent Porro
    Jota Diaz Amad Gordon Son
    Isak Havertz

Onano João Pedro Hall De Ligt

2m in bank, 1ft (only move has been Solanke to João Pedro)

    Good to go yeah?

    Areola
    Dalot - Gvardiol - Konsa
    Ødegaard - Bruno - Diaz - Bowen
    Haaland(C) - Muniz - Isak

    Fabianski - Andersen - Mykolenko - Winks

Really tempted to do Bruno + Ødegaard + Isak -> Palmer + Saka + J.Pedro

Would cost a -4. Would you do it?

Start Porro (NEW) or Colwill (CRY)?

Yes I understand I have Colwill.. but the fixtures are decent.

Why have people made early transfers?

Lots of teams in midweek action. For example could see Henderson being dropped if Johnstone does well tomorrow.

Plus transfer window closes before the deadline. Lots of vital information to come.

I guess because of price rises. They seem to be happening very quickly this season. I’m tempted to get Palmer today because I can’t afford a rise.

Price rises and falls can completely shut out certain transfer options if left too long

      Simply price drops.
Do I agree? Not so sure, but a few frustrating players out there.

      It's called price changes.
Without them, everyone would wait til just before the 1st game.

i hope not, although i'm playing Flekken next week ahead of him. transfer window definately a big one! wouldn't suprise me to see Chelsea reward Madueke after his hatrick by signing someone to play ahead of him! lol

I've made the transfers I needed/wanted before getting priced out. Bus team ready.

Someone gets hit by the proverbial - I hit WC.

If I wildcarded now, I would consider something like this...

    Raya | 4.0
    Alexander-Arnold | Robertson | Robinson | Faes | Harwood-Bellis
    Mbeumo | Rogers | Andreas | Diogo J | Palmer
    Haaland | Watkins | J. Pedro

For my actual team, I am considering doing Saka>Palmer soon

Complete opposite to what I would do on WC! Would be looking to fit as many premiums in as possible given the cheaper options that have emerged around them

That strategy works really well too!

Without Haaland or Salah, you can have Son, De Bruyne, Saka, Palmer, Foden, Watkins, etc. easily!

City's fixture run looks amazing but I'm worried about Foden/De Bruyne's minutes once the UCL starts.

This & boils down to Salah or Trent & Jota in most cases.

Pretty much correct for how it ends up when figuring out a wc draft! Have Trent and Jota now

Probably way I will go, waiting for Foden, Watkins, Isak to show up first

Towards UCL it may be preferred to go with Salah over Trent & Jota. Plenty of good 4.5 defenders. With this wildcard I wouldn't go that route as I'd be captaining Palmer or Haaland the next 10 weeks.

Thoughts on potential GW5 WC team?

    Flekken Fabianski
    Saliba Robertson Porro Robinson Vandeburg
    Salah Saka Palmer Esr Rogers
    Watkins Solanke Pedro

I think you can survive but it'll be really hard watching City the next 10 games.

Feel like the other City attackers are rotation prone towards Champion's League and a lot of cheap options have emerged that enable him.

Salah on the other hand can probably be covered by Diaz, Jota, Robertson and Trent but I expect them to lose minutes soon as well.
