At a quick glance Palmer, Saka and Isak are pretty much straight swaps or downgrade Trent

wait for price drops and form, can always get them later if you structure things right.

      1. Save FTs (I'll have 2 next GW)
      2. For Foden:
      a) have at least two premium mids
      b) no more than two City assets
      3. Watkins:
      a) potentially go with Havertz as a gateway
      b) no more than two of Nedel/Konsa/Rogers

    Captain;

    A) Haaland
    B) Saka

Bear in mind Brighton played Milner and Gilmour in front of their back four Vs United. Might set up differently Vs Arsenal of course.

    Cheers.

    Bottomed.

Did Nkunku > Rogers last night and now have 1.5 ITB to upgrade Minteh. Who is the best replacement in the 6.5-7.0 range?

    A) Mbeumo
    B) Eze
    C) Savinho
    D) Other?

      D) Potentially Mitoma from GW4 onwards as BHA have six good attacking fixtures then.
Also eyes on Garnacho from GW4 if he gets the starting spot.
If making move this week then I’d go for Eze

    Henderson.
    Porro, Gabriel, Robinson.
    Saka, Jota, Gordon, Smith- Rowe.
    Solanke, Haaland, Isak.
    Matthews, Rogers, Hall, Barco.

    2ft's, 0.5m ITB.
Probably WC in the next few weeks.

    1. Porro/Gabriel + Gordon -> TAA + 6.5/7.0m (Feeling like I need TAA).

so Palmer and Haaland (plus fixtures) means the emphasis on which 3 ARS slots now pivots to which 3 LIV spots

    Salah for captaincy

    but then which two of:

    TAA, Robbo, Jota, Diaz

atm I'm on Robbo and Jota

considering just two as well then flexibility on the third one

Lots of people going without Salah on WC with some plum fixtures coming up?

I’m struggling to fit everyone in but really trying to avoid going without him, he’s a captaincy option for at least 2 out the next 3/4 weeks

    1. ZeBestee
      • 11 Years
      1 year, 3 months ago

You cant have them all. You just need to choose one of the 2 and hope luck is on your side. I still think Jota and Diaz can slightly cover Salah. Prefer Diaz out of the 2.

      And Haaland can’t be captained?

People are going without because they’ll likely captain Haaland in every game other than Arsenal.

      Personally

TAA, Double Arsenal defense, Saka, Palmer, Haaland and 7.5+ striker are non negotiable for me. That leaves no room at the inn for Salah. I think I can live without him considering id rarely captain him and whenever I watch pool diaz and jota look as close to hauling as him anyway. He will have a 230+ season but so will saka, Palmer, haaland.

What Freddo said, but Savio plays on the right mainly so if Foden is shunted to the wing it would be on left for Doku who has started poorly.

    Mo Salah 10 points
    Diogo Jota 6 points

So 5m gets you 4 extra points this week, worth noting that Antony Gordon matched those 10 points.

    1. ZeBestee
      • 11 Years

Salah had 14 in the first game, 6 more points than Jota. 10 in total in 2 gameweeks. In a span of a season, thats approximately 180 points (obviously not taking into considerations other metrics which will most likely reduce the number)

I’m sure that 4m invested wisely would have made up those 10 points.

Just not worth it this year if you’re going Haaland, can squeeze Jota, Palmer & Saka in and have an equally explosive team.

Yeah we can say the same about Haaland though. Salah will continue to have numbers closer to Haaland for the majority of the season if they all stay fit hence you can go with him and invest elsewhere the extra 2.5m. If you can squeeze both then you miss the likes of Palmer/Saka/Trent etc. We also have quite a number of 5.5-6.5 options who can do very well so balance and proper planning will be key.

I’m not sure you can, for Salah you can get Saka, Son or Palmer who will get close to his points tally at less spend, no one gets close to Haaland, Watkins did last year but to do that again is a huge ask, you certainly wouldn’t bet on Watkins or Isak doing it right now.

That’s why most of the active players are going Haaland over Salah, you can take Salah on this year if you are a committed Haaland captainer.

I started looking at a WC today and can have Trent, Saka, Palmer & Haaland, Salah feels a luxury this year, I don’t have him & have made a cracking start.

Salah's appeal is captaincy. If you already have other good premiums for captaincy (Haaland, Palmer etc), Jota over Salah is pretty decent

A single gameweek is not quite the sample size you want. Salah isn’t far off double the points that Diaz/Jota have after 2 weeks. And then you have the (c)aptaincy to consider. How often does a Diaz/Jota/Gordon stand out to you to make them your captain? Way less often than a Salah/Haaland/Saka/Son.

They are good assets in their own right but they are not comparable.

      1. _Freddo
        • Fantasy Football Scout Member

They don’t have to be captained, Haaland is captain, if he’s not captain, Saka or even Palmer will be captain therefore Salah is a single asset more of them than not so the captaincy is not a factor.

This year, unless you plan to C Salah on a weekly basis (& not 1 week in 4) you are most definitely judging him against a Gordon/Diaz/Jota +5m.

I'm on a Haaland, Salah, Palmer WC and looking at cheap picks/differentials.

Just raged pressed WC button. Will carry over 2 FT

    Martinez
    TAA Robinson Lewis (Faes)(Harwood)
    Salah Palmer KDB Jota Madueke
    Watkins Pedro Muniz

Went for a strong 8th attacker due to gamble on KDB/Madueke.

KDB/Madueke are short term picks for the coming 3/4 GWs. they will become Saka+4.5 then and use the money to upgrade defence ( 3FTs)
