Exact money for Watkins Semenyo to Havertz BJ

That injury news will ruin plans....

It is. But AI models are recommending to sell as a result. No thought at all

Would obviously hold and I still don’t like Bj as an FPL option, think it’s just a mini purple patch and Maddison will be the one

Idk there mate. Maddison is playing really deep from time to time and BJ seems well involved in the attacks. Stats back him up as well + fixtures look good. Thought he was just an overhyped pick too but convinced me last game

So your AI model says to sell Havertz. Im looking to buy and your conclusion is that Im influenced by AI.

Yea, you make a lot of sense...

          People genuinely use this?

          Crikey. I’m old?

I remember getting Elano in for his purple patch run of points when people didn’t even know who he was.

Can think of countless other examples.

Is there no fun to be had in this game any more by making your own call based on gut and watching match of the day?

Rogers only Villa attacker played more league minutes than Watkins. Watkins 536 mins from max 630 and early subs first 3 due to no pre season. 83 mins minimum last 4

i guess if chasing games he'll stay on. i mean i do want to keep him, destroyed me last year not owning for large parts of the season. just the noise around duran, new contract now, not sure if this is helping watkins' performances

points per start around 5.3 and 6.1 in his 2 seasons so far, even if he fell back to around 5.7 this season still great for 8.3. no haaland so nice captaincy option when Newcastle have easy home fixture. i know Newcastle haven't been great so far but don't believe the days of them racking up 4/5/6 at home are over just yet tbh

Watkins next three fixtures: ful; BOU; tot.
Isak next three fixtures: BRI; che; ARS.

Don't see the point of Watkins > Isak with those fixtures, one guy fit and playing and the other injured and a risk of not playing major mins if he does start.

Sticking with Diaz seems like an obvious move?

I've done the hokey cokey with him and Jota and missed all their points so sticking with one seems like the right thing to do

Wity Jota, Liverpool number 9 classed as a mid for 7.5 seems obvious but have you noticed he is allergic to bonus points?

Makes such a big difference and if he needs 2 returns a match to get bonus then he's not a very good option for me

For someone who can't afford Salah, stick with Diaz?

    1. pjomara
      • 15 Years
      1 year, 2 months ago

I stuck with Jota during WC two weeks ago when all the start money was on Diaz and it's paid off.
Gakpo much more of threat to Diaz's game time than Nunez is to Jota.
Jota 0.7m cheaper is the final reason.

I had Diaz on wild card then switched to Jota last week after news of benching. Tempted to just keep him now as he should tick over nicely until he gets injured.

Yeh I've had no Haaland all season so far and Ive done well without him, the two recent blanks have propelled me up to like 67k, but now I'm getting bad FOMO and I'm looking at Liverpools fixtures, and I'm looking at City's and yeh I'm a bit worried haha. Salah likely to take another drop again tonight apparently so may be tempted to make the move now. (Can always WC in case of emergency)

You don't want double city defence. Especially with Barco still on your bench

For what reason? Everyone in my players apart from Barco is a starter.

        Plan to WC in GW12.

Fair enough. I just wouldn't want double city defence considering they don't keep many clean sheets and any city defender could get a rest at any time. But I guess you only need to fill one spot.

Mulling a few moves over and wanted some other opinions
Who scores more points next 3
    1. Watkins Fulham A, Bournemouth H, Spurs A
    2. Delap Everton H, Brentford A, Leicester H

    What's better long term
    A. Watkins+ a 5.6 eg McNeil or Sememyo
    B. Delap+ a Johnson or Diaz or foden 9m spread across the team eventually allowing to have keep Palmer & Saka long term

Looks like the obvious play looking at fixtures McNeill on the rise possibly tonight and Sememyo just starting to drop and be sold

Annoyingly I haven't seen McNeil play at all so have no idea if he's even worth getting. You seen him?

Looks decent heavily involved in attacks playing behind the striker and on set pieces. He's a bit of a no brainer if you have only have around 5.6m with those fixtures coming

Buonanotte is another player looks good with decent fixtures if you wanted a lower owned differential alternative

Palmer is obviously the long term move. But Johnson and Watkins could do pretty well. It's a tough one.
Think I'd go J and W for now then look at Palmer from gw12 and then he can just stay in for rest of season.

Should I get rid of Semenyo before his tough run of fixtures ahead. Semenyo to either McNeil, Kovacic, Mavididi. (Yes I know I also need to bolster my defensive reinforcements)

    Flekken - Fabianski
    Gabriel-Lewis-Leif Davis-den Berg-Greave
    Palmer-Mbuemo-Diaz-Rogers-Semenyo
    Halaand-Solanke-Havertz

No. Bring in Evanilson. Target the hard fixtures.

Your front 8 are strong so can't you just bench him rather than give a headache?

FPL_JianBatra did a decent thread about him earlier if helpful:

Antoine Semenyo analysis - Planning (& cheap MIDs)

Quite a few people are considering selling Antonine Semenyo/having a rotating option for through GW8-10.

        That of course requires either:

        A. Transfer(s)
        B. Money

So in this section I’m going to give you a brief analysis of the player, to help with that decision, alongside another subjective conclusion.

I see him as a high floor, low (ish) ceiling asset.

The returns he’s generated so far also align with this.

        Why?

The floor he has is generated from two things:

        1. Individual quality

Regardless of the circumstances, the opposition, I know he’s got enough within him to always get me something.

Across 90 minutes, that should therefore be good enough to indeed get me something.

        2. Iraola

He’s coached a good high press, and that itself acts as a creator for the side (Semenyo) to “receive” chances.

My issue with his ceiling are his teammates.

This is not a critique of them, rather it’s just how they are, and how the system is.

        - He doesn’t consistently have a RB pushing up the flank, to allow him to come inside more.

        - He doesn’t have a creative, high volume passer type profile at #10 to combine with, and to produce situations for him.

So going forward, I expect a very steady set of returns, with the occasional haul.

The fixtures are not as bad as they look.

I’ve spoken quite a few times this season about how going to Bournemouth won’t be easy.

They have enough to score against the T2.

A good way to dent those with double Arsenal(/City) defence and maximise your upside, should you play Semenyo.

Villa for the obvious reasons, always a little susceptible.

So for those reasons, specifically the fixture analysis + his floor, I see no real issue in keeping him, even without rotating options.

Nah, just keep, you have enough bench cover for the Semenyos harder fixtures

I would just go for a 4.0 backup keeper if you're going Raya. Even if you're just keeping that extra 0.4 in the bank.

Would also prefer a Forest defender over Justin but I've not looked at the fixture rotations with the rest of your team.
