Wednesday’s midweek matches push the ScoutCast back 24-hours, offering you a Crackerjack style Friday afternoon “treat”. Granville and I could certainly “crush a grape” after reaping the rewards from the Robin Van Persie captaincy and we can’t help allowing our smugness to seep through on several occasions, as we take the opportunity to mock both the Professor and Jonty on the recent failings of Wayne Rooney. Small victories.

Those two characters crash the party to bring us the latest forecast from the Rate My Team computer as part of our weekend preview, while Jonty brings us another “fortunate” member of the community to suffer the usual brand of “Full Jonty” analysis. The familiar smattering of regulars glue it all together, as we keep the momentum going with the finishing line now in sight.

Grin and bear the delight at the Dutchman via this link, or stream this self-satisfied nonsense via the player below…

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Fergie has spent pretty much every friday press conference this season singing his praises, only to start Young/Nani/Giggs instead. Hopefully the penny has finally dropped though.

He doesn't deserve that nomination over Nastasic or Rafael but that doesn't mean we will be happy for him.

Now if you are going to mention Welbeck, grow a pair, remove those Arsenal tinted glasses and mention your lovechild Mr.Wilshere as well. Who is my favorite player outside of United anyway.

+1, among others. He's not even first choice at his club. Wilshere another whose nomination is only as a result of an English players love-in. Yeah he's a good player, but he's hardly had an amazing season.

Welbeck industrious but 1 league goal says it all for me. That's as many as Gutierrez up here.

What you said in the first line is why I mentioned Welbeck over Wilshere. Wilshere has at least had a reason for not playing much of the season (although this shouldn't weigh into him being nominated) and has started almost twice as many games as Welbeck.

Neither should be there, but hey ho.

Hope Bale wins it... Suarez has scored a shiteload of goals against the minnows and despite his efforts where has he taken Liverpool? They're still hanging around sixth or whatever sub-par place on the ladder they're at.

5/22 from Suarez have come against the top 7 teams
4/17 from Bale against top 7 teams

Spurs are only 2 places above Liverpool.

So, you're talking shite and it's just a Suarez bias

      From those 2 no contest.

Bale, whilst he maybe Welsh rather than English (he still fits in well with the 'home grown talent all is well in premiership land' message) and he isn't universally reviled as a racist.

HUGE RISK captaining Rooney. RVP is a guaranteed starter as he wants the golden boot and SAF wants him to have it. Hernandez was great when he came on, can easily see Chicharito starting this weekend with RVP. Rooney is a massive rotation risk this weekend.
