There are five three o’clock kick-offs to follow Liverpool’s early Premeir League victory, with United’s trip to Swansea to follow at tea-time.

The team news from the Emirates finds Theo Walcott in the Arsenal lineup, although there is no start for Santi Cazorla who is rested to the bench following his recent international exploits. Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain earns a start in midfield, along with Aaron Ramsey and Tomas Rosicky: Mikel Arteta is absent through injury. Up front, Olivier Giroud is given the opportunity to lead the attack with no place for Lukas Podolski. As for Villa, they have budget pick, Nathan Baker alongside Ron Vlaar in defence, as expected.

Chris Hughton is without Seb Bassong and playmaker Robert Snodgrass so hands a start to Elliot Bennett and Nathan Redmond on the flank, with Steven Whittaker in defence. They go with a 4-5-1 with Wes Hoolahan supporting new signing, Ricky van Wolfswinkel up top. Everton’s lineup is as expected – Ross Berkley is given the opportunity to fill in for Darron Gibson in midfield, while Nikica Jelavic’s pre-season form is enough to earn him the nod up front.

There are few surprises as the Hawthorns. The home side lineup with both Nicolas Anelka and Shane Long up front in what looks like a regular 4-4-2. Opponents Southampton have Luke Shaw fit to start at left-back, although Nathaniel Clyne is only able to make the bench: Calum Chambers starts at right-back. James Ward-Prowse is preferred ahead of Guly, Steven Davis and Gaston Ramirez in midfield.

Paolo Di Canio’s teamsheet includes a host of new signings as Ondrej Celustka, Valentin Roberge, Cabral, Emanuele Giaccherin and Jozy Altidore all earn debuts. Kieron Westwood gets the nod in goal over Vito Mannone. The Fulham lineup includes a debut for Derek Boateng and a surprise start or Adel Taarabt: Bryan Ruiz only makes the bench.

The West Ham back four lines up with both Guy Demel and James Collins earning starts as Razvan Rat and James Tomkins are kept on the bench. The midfield sees Mo Diame earn a start along with Joe Cole, while Modibo Maiga leads the line in the absence of the injured Andy Carroll. There are few surprises in the Cardiff lineup, with Matt Connolly preferred to John Brayford at right-back and Ben Turner alongside new signing, Steven Caulker.

Our Dugout Discussion chatroom remains open to take you through the afternoon matches into this evenings clash at the Liberty.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

    Is RVP still overpriced? 🙂

Not overpriced. Fairly priced. I went without. I'll only know if that was the right decision in a few weeks time.

based on the relative scores, his pricing is spot on.

Not sure whether it will be repeated every week, but my GW4 WC to bring him in is certainly still on at the moment!

        His price is fair.
        Only goid as captain though.
Chelsea captain will outscore him this week.
3/4 next up dont look good.

He's perfectly priced imo. But only because of the captaincy factor, and he is no captain contender for a couple of weeks so perfectly fine starting without him.

Going without him for the whole season because he is "overpriced" is a bit of a lazy approach though. It's possible to find excellent bargains to complement him, for those who are willing to do the digging.

    Or

    Which scored higher today?
    Which costs more?

spot on with your comments about his value being pure captaincy related mate. i wrote-up a similar piece pre-season.

in 2 and 3 player comparisons he is not going to fare well. but in season long points and most of it captained. the only must-have in the game

24 from 6. A bit poor but so much football to come this week. No panics from me, even as an RVP-less player. His fixtures are tough and as today proved, there are others who can score for much less money. I'll have him at some point I'm sure but it's still to early for me with only £100m to spend.

Makes me laugh the level of penny pinching I've been doing over the last few months in order to turn a Murner into a Coleman, only to have my team with a team value of 94mil. get a perfectly respectable score of 38 with Paulinho, Soldado, Hazard (c), Ivanovic and Lukaku still to play. Next season I think I'll see how good a team I can make using just budget players. Could be fun.

Nah, stick with Coutinho. Joe Cole won't be consistent.

I don't mind not having rvp. I'm just slightly peeved Benteke only scored points because he got two penalties, one which wasn't. Also that i could have got some really cheap defenders who score and assist for the first time in their career.

Plan was always to sell Ivan this week. Should I:

        - get on the bandwagon and get Coleman NOW, capitalising on the added bonus of price rises?

or stick to my guns and get Collins, probably the night before Ivan drops (assuming he does)?

I am in a similar predicament.
getting Collins would free up a massive 2m to be invested further up field.
Only concern I have is how nailed on he will be?

Also can't really get coleman since I have Jagielka.

My Vertebrae McConnell - #LAWR 7 H2H match comes down to whether Zabaleta can outscore Coleman+1 as the only difference in my team and his team is I have Coleman and Mert and he has Zab and Turner (NOR)
