While Roman Abramovich will be twitching after back-to-back defeats following last night’s Champions League setback, it might just be worth keeping faith with Jose Mourinho. It’s not wise to write off ‘The Special One’ and according to Paddy’s latest odds going into Gameweek 5, the Blues are very much fancied to spank local rivals Fulham this weekend.

Four of Paddy’s top six players most likely to notch this weekend wear the blue of Chelsea – even Fernando Torres gets a look in. With uncertainty over Jose’s teamsheet, both Demba Ba and a rusty Samuel Eto’o top the charts: the pair are 4/5 with Paddy Power to get on the scoresheet against Martin Jol’s side.
Despite this, Torres is perhaps the most likely to start Sunday’s clash and he’s odds-on at 10/11 to register his first league goal of the season. Frank Lampard is also 11/10 with Paddy, making him the midfielder most likely to find the net in the Gameweek according to their current odds. Notably, Juan Mata and Eden Hazard also sneak into the top 20 most likely goalscorers as the traders apparently predict a tough afternoon for Martin Jol’s side, despite the current malaise at the Bridge.
Looking elsewhere, it’s no surprise to see that Robin van Persie is again a fixture in the top ten, although it’s a certainly a shock to see Wayne Rooney far less fancied to score in Sunday’s Manchester derby. The Dutchman has three goals this season and is 7/5 to score any time at the Etihad; Rooney is out at 13/5 (3.60) by comparison. It’s worth noting that City are favourites for Sunday’s encounter and if United win on Sunday, Paddy Power will refund selected losing bets.
Liverpool’s Daniel Sturridge and Arsenal’s Olivier Giroud are the other strikers in form and much sought after by Fantasy managers over the past six days. Both have four goals in four outings and are understandably nestled in the top rankings again this week. Sturridge is 10/11 to score at any time as Liverpool face Southampton at Anfield, while Giroud is 5/6 to claim a fifth league goal when Stoke pay visit to north London.
Clean Sheet Odds – Gameweek 5

| Tottenham | 2.40 |

Despite the day one victory at Sunderland, Fulham are still regarded as a travel sick bunch, so it’s no surprise to see Chelsea on top of the clean sheet odds. Mourinho’s defence is at 5/6 with Paddy to claim the shutout. Arsenal aren’t too far behind: they come in at 10/11 to keep Stoke out at the Emirates as Paddy predict another one-sided London encounter.
Tottenham have conceded just once this season and claim their place in the top five ahead of a testing trip to Cardiff at 7/5, while league leaders Liverpool are 11/10 to keep Rickie Lambert and company at bay when Southampton visit Merseyside; the Saints have just two goals in their four matches so far.
Newcastle complete Paddy’s top five and are 13/10 to keep a clean sheet with Hull City pulling up at St James’ Park. Fabricio Coloccini will likely be the man to back, with bonus points always on cards for the dominant Argentine. Coloccini gathered the maximum in both the Magpies’ clean sheets so far and, if you fancy him for a points bonanza, he’s out at 12/1 for an anytime goal.
Outside of the top five, it’s interesting to see goals predicted in Sunday’s big derby clash. Neither City or United are backed to keep it clean, with Manuel Pellegrini’s side at 2/1 and United out at 10/3.
