With Gameweek 1 concluded, it’s time to delve a little deeper into the data in our first “Big Numbers” article for members of the campaign. We analyse the display of Arsenal’s new wide man against Palace, the QPR front pairing at home to Hull, Liverpool’s ever-improving youngster, Southampton’s delivery under Ronald Koeman and United’s weekend scorer in the 2-1 home loss to Swansea.

      Arrghhh it's just so tempting, this transfer funds bringing in Cesc.

      I came into this season with the 'no mercy' mentality, and convinced myself I'd jump on any early bandwagons to achieve a higher team value earlier on.

    QUICK POLL:

    If you are NOT doing Mata to Fabregas did you own YYT last season (and at what point did you get him):

    If you ARE doing Mata to Fabregas did you own YYT last season (and at what point did you get him):

    Interested to see if it is a certain 'type' of player that is avoiding this transfer, I believe last year 80% would say don't get YYT after his FK in GW1 (or 2)

      I'm not doing Mata to Fab because I think Mata will outscore Cesc over the next few games. No other reason(s). I brought in YYT early last season; personally I see no similarity between that and those bringing in Cesc.

        I want Silva but I think Fabregas and Siggy are needed to keep with the pack and make team value.

        Sterling and Ramsey are rising so they are no's. Eriksen has the better fixture so Silva goes unfortunately.

      Debuchy - good choice - but Arsenal still rebuilding.

      Fabergas had a great game - but thats one game. What if he is rested next week. What if hazard is the star? If you switch - Siggy.

      But I like Silva.

    I think the Fabregas transfer now could be essential for your start now. The start is all about making the right transfers to get te pricerises, mainly because you can't get him as easily next week as this week. He'll be 9.3 then and if he scores again hell go rapidly to 10.0 in the weeks after. Also, next week there will be another player you want which makes it even more difficult.

    Just did Jones > Chester and Eriksen > Fabregas. Even if Eriksen scores a brace I think in the long run this will be the right choise.

    Hey everyone! Glad to see the chaos of FPL is setting in (wouldn’t have it any other way!). Looking for a second opinion on best move this week. I’m concerned with:

    1. Luis benched last week but I fear he may make his debut this week and I would hate to miss out on a CS.
    2. Would like Siggy in considering the great fixtures but can’t do a straight swap with Hendo.

    What would you recommend?
