With Gameweek 1 concluded, it’s time to delve a little deeper into the data in our first “Big Numbers” article for members of the campaign. We analyse the display of Arsenal’s new wide man against Palace, the QPR front pairing at home to Hull, Liverpool’s ever-improving youngster, Southampton’s delivery under Ronald Koeman and United’s weekend scorer in the 2-1 home loss to Swansea.
Need some advice please! I think Mata still has plenty of potential for points but this is my problem/question. If I hold on Mata then in the next GW's he doesn't get points and keeps losing value whilst Fabregas scores points and rises I'll have to go for Fab. Is it worth risking this because at that point I'll have to weaken some part of my team in order to accommodate Fab?
Same for Giroud in my team who could drop, do I hold on them and hope they score and rise in future GWs or lose the value meaning I can't get an 8.5 striker(Dzeko or Bony) in to replace him without weakening elsewhere again?
Basically, do I go for the team value and ability to get who I want without weakening elsewhere but take a hit or 2? Or do I just hold on Giroud and Mata and hope they score whilst getting priced out of other options I might want if these 2 continue to failOpen ControlsAccountant says, Team value.
Open ControlsKeep Mata, lose Giroud. That's what I'm doing. His performance tonight was shocking and honestly wouldn't be surprised if he's dropped.
Open ControlsI've teetered and tottered on Mata but I've decided to keep him. One week isn't enough time to tell anything. Manchester United came out flat, but there's enough talent there to make me think he equals Fab/Ramsey/Sterling's potential. It may cost me a bucketload of points and some team value, but I'm going to back him to compete with the other heavy hitting mids over the next month.

now that siggy is at 200% target, does that mean he'll go up .2?
Open ControlsUnfortunately not
Open ControlsNop just .1 even if his 500%
Open ControlsNope can only rise 0.1 on one occasion will probably rise again tomorrow night though.
Open ControlsDoubt it. Another on Thursday and Saturday.
Open Controls
No, don't think so. If I remember correctly it goes up .1 and the other transfers are basically lost. Ideally will stay just shy of 200% until the price rise tonight.
Open ControlsWill it reset to zero tonight whatever his increase
Open Controlsyes
Open Controls
A) Cahill, Fabregas, Sterling, Dzeko
or
B) Luis, Hazard, Mata, Any striker up to 7.5 (if so, which one)Open ControlsA
Open Controls
Is it always this serious on here at night (UK time) ?
Open ControlsWell I'm doing the scout pick challenge this week so that should be a good laugh 🙂
Open Controls
Any Villa fans about? Hutton looking nailed for the foreseeable?
Open ControlsShould be, but he can be easily replaced at any time if he doesn't perform.
Open Controls
Too lazy to look at stats sorry ,
But how is Mata away from home? (In footsie terms!)Open Controls@Super Zlatan that Schürrle wagon is happening!
Open ControlsHaha. Good luck pal. He is a good pick if nailed!
Open Controls
Tomorrow I will ask all Mata owners how big their TV is
Open ControlsChambers looked good this evening. Safe for the weekend?
Open ControlsCrazy idea to drop Luis to someone like Clyne and up Lamela to Fab or brilliant? Was thinking not making a transfer but boy does Lamela just scream to be let go
Open ControlsHow long do you give a player to find form?
I've got yaya and I think I'm only prepared to give him another 2 games unless he starts to produce.
Thoughts?Open ControlsWell you've done well to give him as long as you have.
Open ControlsI had a eureka moment on Friday and swapped fab for Yaya!
Open Controls
I have Yaya. The dude nearly scored off a free kick. He'll come good but Silva is tempting.
Open Controls3 weeks for me at that price, and if Silva keeps getting points then no brainer
Open Controls
Still at home.
Open ControlsNo, he didn't travel. GW2 aappearance then presumably.
Open ControlsAnd our team was a mess.
Open Controls
Jovetic should start against Pool, right?
Open ControlsNot imo
Open ControlsHe should play whether it's starting or off the bench who knows. Doubt Aguero gets a complete 90 minutes
Open ControlsI can't see Aguero starting with so little football.
Open ControlsYep he will.
Pelle won't rush Kun back.Open ControlsThanks guys, guess he should start, and anyway would be a -4 to move him on, so any chance of minutes and holding is the best option.
Open Controls
I feel bad for losing Mata, but suspect this pain will be nullified when I come to buy a player and can afford him because of it...
Open ControlsWhat will it take for you to WC if you haven't already?
Open Controls4 or 5 injuries I like my team but ill WC to get RvP and Aguero in GW4

The Mata>Fábregas situation in a nutshell:
Those with Mata, who are keeping, are saying that it is a knee jerk to get in Fábregas for him. Its only one week, Mata has good fixtures, give him a chance, blah blah blah.
Those without Mata are happy to not have the decision to make (and those wierd Doosra types may try and get him in, but just ignore them).
Those who have sold him for Fábregas are saying it isn't a knee jerk. They say Chelsea have a good fixture and he is in form. They would argue that Chelsea are currently a better side with better surrounding players.
Conclusion?
Its all a matter of perspective. Don't come on here asking whether or not to do the move, people will advise you depending on what they have. Make up your mind and decide which you will do. There is no right or wrong choice, its all a prediction.Open ControlsI am not weird, just thoughtful.
Hard to take, I know.Open ControlsYou can have your differentials 😆
Its when those gravless hipsters try to be original that ticks me off 😆
Call me fickle.Open Controls
Conclusion? Should have got Mata, Ramsey, Fabregas, Sterling and Siggy from the start and sit back and enjoy the carnage 😉
Open ControlsMata and Fab is the ideal
Open ControlsI have both
Open Controls
That's a whole new can of worms.
Open Controls
I would argue that those who have sold him are gambling. They admit it's a bit of a knee jerk but it's a .3 swing in value guaranteed at the cost of a free transfer. I think Fab/Mata are roughly equal prospect for the next couple weeks, but the value argument is a compelling one.
Open ControlsConclusion, Doosra is weird.
Open ControlsOh the green arrows are the +1 button!!
And all this time I've been superstitiously pressing in the hope my rank would go up.
Seriously, however many +1s you think you've got folks, deduct about 200Open Controls
It should be the law that there must be an EPL game every day of the week
Open ControlsIm thinking Hazard -> Fábregas
I think the extra cash will be important (Fáb going up at least 0.2)
What do people think? Is it a waste of a transfer?Open Controlshttp://www.squawka.com/news/how-man-uniteds-juan-mata-struggled-to-get-going-in-favoured-role-against-swansea/160019
Great article about Mata. Worth readingOpen ControlsIn summary:
1 Header, 1 Tackle, 1 shot.
LolOpen Controls
dont have any issues with my team so thinking of:
A: mata >> fab/sterling
B: eriksen >> fab/sterling
C: save FT
So confusing...Open ControlsOk guys, got 74 points last week, mata was the only one of my front seven to blank. Swap to Cesc? Feels like I am chasing points though.
For what its worth I would much rather have Cesc, hink Chelsea are the much better team and would probably look to bring him in soon anyway.
Either that or save the transfer?Open ControlsPeople here said getting YYT was chasing points...
For 38 weeks.Open Controls
Current team:
Howard
Lovren, Debuchy, Cahill
Sterling, Ramsey, Hazard, Henderson
Rooney, Costa, Bojan
Bench: Myhill, Vlaar, El Ahmadi, Bruce
£0 in the bank
Think I've decided to take the hit and do Clyne>Lovren and Sig>Henderson. Thoughts? Also, should I trade any of my mids for Fab?Open Controlsdon't trade out Clyne, surely
Open Controls
Jones -> Clyne or keep FT for next week?
