With Gameweek 1 concluded, itโ€™s time to delve a little deeper into the data in our first “Big Numbers” article for members of the campaign. We analyse the display of Arsenalโ€™s new wide man against Palace, the QPR front pairing at home to Hull, Liverpoolโ€™s ever-improving youngster, Southamptonโ€™s delivery under Ronald Koeman and Unitedโ€™s weekend scorer in the 2-1 home loss to Swansea.

    Bego - Gilks
    PJones - Debuchy - Hutton - Coloccini - Moore
    Hazard - Sigurðsson - Mata - Ramsey - Albrighton
    Jovetic - Rooney - Costa

Any reason bot to just save the free transfer? With no decent replacements for Jove for 8m

I can't see it as he is a good defender, great at setting up goals, offers a goal threat and also allows mourinho to switch to 3 at the back during games.

      Utd still have great fixtures.

After this week Chelsea have some tough games. They don't look like they'll be interested in putting teams to the sword rather than just tika-takka'ing them to death, so I'm not sure Fabs will outscore Mata over the next 4-5 weeks.

Would you think it would be an improvement if you could have a larger rise than 0.1 per night? Or for the next day it to start at the percentage over 100% a player was left at?

I feel sorry for David Moyes. He is a bloody good manager but he was set up to fail from the start. It is the players who are trash, not the manager or the backroom staff (well, the backroom staff may be as well, but not Moyes). I believe this is why Fergie got out when he did - he knew it was the end of the road for this mediocre squad and he saw this disarray coming.

When you look at this Man Utd squad, only 3 or 4 (max) of their players would get into any of the top 4 sides.

Moyes made mistakes but your entirely correct. There was a coup against him, I am convinced. A lot of the players I expected more from. Fergie is complicit, he allowed these attitudes to develop in later years whereas before he would have never stood for it.

You're giving yourself such a small history to pick the right players if you WC now though. I think if you wait a few GWs the patterns (strong defences, attacking midfielders) start to emerge more clearly so it just makes it a bit easier

Yeah..do that by all means..but that's not the same as saying that playing it in GW1 to try and get a good start is wrong...I well remember everybody taking Snodgrass and Lallana and co out for DGW players and then they outscored the "new" picks...Playing a WC can backfire in GW1just as much as DGW37..or be a success..

It's great using it GW2 with there is a DGW1 imo.

I find it's best to use it early. If you really don't like the balance and you are sure of what the optimum squad will be, then a GW2 WC is fine. You want to reach the optimum team as soon as possible to maximise your points. The trouble is that we have little to go on this early and it is likely you will be wrong.

I plan to WC GW8 when fixtures start to swing and my defensive rotation goes to shit. Hopefully Wally is back by then, I can also get Baines etc...

I'm sorely tempted to hit the WC button I have to say... Not because I had a bad GW but all the players who looked likely to do well (that I swooped out at the last minute to play it safe) have done so and I honestly think each one of them has the class and history to do well throughout the season.

Don't think I've ever WC this early before but just feels like the right time to restructure for me to capitalise early...

    DDG
    Cahill Lovren Debuchy Hutton
    Hazard Mata Ramsey Siggy
    Rooney Costa

    Elliott Bruce Wanyama Bojan

Dilemma, can't swap Mata for Fab as I've already 3 Chelsea and seems pointless swapping hazard for Fab

    What say you??

I've considered Jobetic > Naismith. Ramsey > Sterling seems pointless (look at Sterling's fixtures).
Get rid of that joke Ashley Young though.

it's been six years and its always been the same GW 1.. the knee bloody wants to jerk. but same as every year.. once you take a step back and breathe u realise there are enough options to chase once the popular ones die down. its so easy to get dragged in.. wait 3+ weeks and then makes decisions in all il say

And the worse you do the more you want to jerk. I am not going to blink despite an awful ranking my team lines up very nicely for next week and I just need to remember that.

Mata to Fab is done. Feel terribly uneasy as I know I will want Mata back but Fabregas would require a hit with one rise.

If LvG sticks with a 352 it may be awhile before you want him back. If comes right back with the 4411 maybe sooner.

Alternatively Mata will have RVP and Rooney above him in that 3-5-2 and the points will start flowing

Not sure RVP and Rooney are ideal for that 352 either. It looks like it needs a Januzaj type to create openings.

A 33.0 forward line always makes the team look a little unbalanced. However the midfield and defence look pretty decent here.
