Gameweek 6 concludes this evening with a Monday night battle at The Britannia. Mark Hughesโ€™ side have yet to either score or pick up a point at home this season after losing both their opening fixtures in front of the Potters supporters โ€“ form in stark contrast to last seasonโ€™s, where they lost at home on just three occasions.

Hughesโ€™ troops will be buoyed by their visitorsโ€™ league displays. Newcastle have drawn blanks in both their road trips, though a midweek cup win at Hull, where new boy Emmanuel Riviere notched twice, will boost their confidence.

Mark Hughes makes just a single alteration from the side that drew against QPR last weekend, bringing in Mark Muniesa for Erik Pieters at left-back after the former notched twice in a cup win at Sunderland. Further up the field, Victor Moses, Charlie Adam and Mame Biram Diouf line up behind lone striker Peter Crouch.

For the Magpies, Tim Krul, Yoan Gouffran and Papiss Cisse recover from illness, though the latter continues on the bench as heโ€™s eased back into action following a long-term knee injury. Daryl Janmaat and Cheick Tiote also retain their starting berths after overcoming knocks sustained in last week’s home draw with Hull.

Paul Is certain he won't make the same mistakes next season. Follow them on Twitter

Newcastle fans prefer to get beat playing attractive football than win ugly. They'd hate Pulis up there.

A typical misconception fuelled by the poor media coverage of the club and the systematic misrepresentation of the fans. Like any other fans, we just want a decent honest and well run club and team. I'd love pulis, and so would all other fans I know.

          Apologies if that's wrong.

No worries m8. Didn't want to sound angry, but there's just this media agenda of portraying the fans as some mad irrational romantics with no idea of how football works. There's certainly an element of truth in that, but the same can be said for any club.

Can't see it. Fans had a meltdown when alladyce went there for being too defensive. Plus, well, there's Ashley. It's a madhouse.

The reason the fans turned on allardyce was the appealing results and wasteful transfer policy, amongst other things, for example making genre I captain. I agree though that we'll never get him because no decent manager will come while Ashley's in charge.

I saw your post the second after I posted mine and thought fair enough. But you have to admit that as soon as results went badly you guys were on alladyce for not playing nice football. Other "smaller" teams would have given him more time and accepted hoof ball as a necessary evil.

Half time. Can I ask a dumb question please.
Having not owned Siggy yet this season, is he an obvious Ramsey replacement? I know he's had a few blanks but there was probably reasonable excuses for 2 of 3 blanks.

Midfield currently Ramsey, Sterling, ADM, Fabregas, Wanyama.

    Thanks ๐Ÿ™‚

Arnautovic has been kak since replacing Diouf. Any threat coming from Crouch's knockdowns has disappeared. Arnautovic just isn't fast enough for this counter attacking style. Assaidi off the bench would have been more apt imo.

Great test tonight for price prediction sites. Are Rooney and Ramsey gonna fall tonight and if no when...? The predictions are totally different.

    TotalFPL
Rooney -104,3% Ramsey -81,5% to drop

    Fiso
Rooney -90,8% Ramsey -101,2% to drop

    FPLStatistics
Rooney -34,7% Ramsey -25,5% to drop

Looks like TotalFPL think Rooney is gonna fall tonight, Fiso thinks Ramsey is gonna fall tonight and FPLStatistics thinks neither...

Just bring 2:30 am. Can't wait it is gonna be interesting... Anyone dare to predict..?

I am thinking of bringing him in for one and only reason, to watch him on Super Sunday. His game is live on tv. It is great feeling to watch your latest signing live on TV ๐Ÿ˜‰
