Fair point. Although I'm guessing it's because he also played as a winger in a 4-2-3-1 in the same season? Which makes sense given Zabaleta was classified as a defender. That said, I would have classified him as a defender if using the criteria above, so maybe you're right. » Read

Wing backs in a 3-5-2 have never been classified as midfielders in FPL though. Doherty, Jonny, Alonso and Moses are examples of this. » Read

Why would he be a midfielder if he plays as a wing-back? » Read

I feel like 6.5 makes him a no brainer. Of the players who've had sufficient minutes only Salah and Sterling have a higher PPG. I think you could be right, but I'm hoping not as 6.5 seems very generous for someone with that amount of attacking threat playing for the best defence in the league. » Read

I think Pereira would be my defender of choice if he were the same price, but Chilwell could come in cheaper. If he comes in at 5 he could be great.Redmond and JWP look good, they are a different team under Hasenhuttl. » Read

I expect Zinchenko to be first choice from here on in. He's a wonderful player imo and has played very well since getting into the team. He should do well for BPS and offers more attacking potential than Walker, think he'll be a steal myself if he can hold down that spot. » Read

Good shouts. Brooks is a player I particularly like and should come in cheaper than King, Fraser and Wilson again this season. Could definitely see Gunn being in a lot of initial teams as well if the fixtures are kind. » Read

I like those picks. If Redmond gets some game time up top next season I think he could be gold. Jonny will probably come in at 5, but he's definitely capable of more attacking returns imo.CHO is a bit of a wait and see because of his injury, but if he can get his starting place back he'll surely be very popular. » Read

Zinchenko, Mina and Loftus-Cheek are a few players who weren't popular this season in FPL, but I could see playing a big part in our teams next season. Are there any similarly under the radar players you think could feature more prominently next season? » Read

Great post. Another player I think could be of interest is the goalkeeper Henderson. Not a very exciting pick, but will likely be a solid option for those who like to have a cheap set and forget keeper.Enda Stevens would be my pick of the defenders were he to be priced at 4.5, but given FPL priced Douglas and Smith at 5 in the past two seasons I have my doubts. » Read

As others have mentioned some of the prices seem a bit off. Ederson and Digne should be around 6 and Pukki probably 6.5. It's also very likely that Jota is reclassified as a striker. » Read

I'm not sure I agree with you on the first sentence, I'd argue the best teams are usually the ones with the best players. That said, I do agree with everything you say thereon. United lack identity, cohesion and quality.I think Pogba is their most important player and Ole himself said he would build the team around him. For some reason though, he has decided to persist with playing Pogba in a deeper role in spite of his performances waning. Maybe he is unmotivated, but Solskjaer is at least in part to blame just as Mourinho was imo. » Read

I don't think selling their best player will solve a lot. It's all good and well selling players that have a supposedly negative attitude, but quality players are a lot more valuable than hard-working ones.Reading over the comments, it can be argued the players people are wanting/expecting to leave are better than the ones they'd be keeping. If they continue to recruit as badly as they have been, I can't see them getting top 6 let alone top 4. » Read

  20. Fantasy Football Scout league round-up 12 days, 11 hours ago

I'd expect Salah to remain classified as a midfielder. Liverpool have played exclusively 4-3-3 towards the end of the season and even when Firmino was injured he stayed on the wing. I'd expect Jota and Deulofeu to be reclassified though, since they played a larger share of their games up front and finished the season in that position as well (as Zaha did last season).Son and Lucas are more complicated cases imo because Pochettino constantly changes systems and players roles within the systems. I'd lean towards them remaining midfielders, but an argument can be either way I think. » Read
