I wouldn't hate Auba to Mo in GW3. I'd be prioritising Mo and a city mid over Bruno though myself. » Read

Doherty at 6m for spurs is a wait and see for me. He'll still get forward (obviously) but not sure he'll have the same goal threat as in that system at Wolves. » Read

9m is a ridiculous price considering if he ever plays close to 3000 minutes he's pretty much nailed for 200+ points » Read

If you can find something productive to do with the £1m then A wins really easily for me. » Read

Yep - with captaincy I think Salah is better value than TAA. Whether Doherty keeps up that level of output in a different system remains to be seen. Most do disagree on Rashford vs Bruno - definitely not the prevailing opinion but I’m seeing that as an opportunity. » Read

I actually really like it. Doesn’t look like a team where you should have £2.5 in the bank, which must be a good thing! » Read

You’re definitely not the only one. I think he’s well priced and decent value - would expect him to perform like a good £7.5m mid, but not much more than that. » Read

Either Salah or TAA. I haven’t thought about the relative performance of defenders to other defenders and how that should influence your picks. Salah for pure points though, easily. » Read

So I use that to create a baseline expectation in an ‘average’ fixture and then try to apply a multiplier based on fixture strength. I agree taking into account fixtures is really important - I’m not expecting to own anyone for the entire season really. So by long term sustainability - I mean good enough previous underlying stats (ideally over a large sample) to make me believe that a player is the real deal within the realms of realistic xG overperformance as opposed to drastically over performing and super likely to regress. » Read

That’s cool, I disagree on eye test being the best route, but that’s fine, plenty of ways to skin a cat. I was just disagreeing with the narrative that Salah is a poor finisher - I’m not expecting him to overperform like he did 3 years ago, but I would expect him to perform at or slightly better than xG as per his career. On Auba scoring against good teams recently - I don’t put much stock in recent results to be honest, variance happens in short spells no matter what the fixtures look like, and I don’t really believe in ‘form’. Long term sustainability for me, and I wouldn’t expect Auba to score the same number of goals from the same xG this season. Doesn’t make him a bad option. » Read

If we’re cherry picking stats, we can look at Mo last season vs Auba last season? The narrative was exactly the same then. Auba hasn’t suddenly massively improved his finishing - last season was a period of over performance. Same with Ings. Same with Salah in his first season at Liverpool. Looking at career stats is the fairest way to do it IMO. » Read

Hey, if you think United have somehow found a new and novel way of playing which means that they’re going to sustain > 10 penalties a season where no other team in history have been able to, then that’s your lookout. Also - being overrated doesn’t mean he’s not good. I think he’s a good footballer, I just think people have got carried away with his overperformance last season and are now saying he’s going to score 250 points this season, bracketing him with Salah, KDB, Sterling etc. That’s the definition of overrated to me. He might score 250 points this season, but it’ll take a hell of a lot more positive variance for him to do so than any of the three aforementioned players. » Read
