  1. Sky Fantasy Football tips, advice and strategy from 2019/20 winner Liam Dorrian 2 hours, 16 mins ago

As far as I know, the 30 day rule is a Premier League rule rather than FIFA or UEFA rule. Premier League has no say on international competitions and can’t do much other than advising the players to be given some time off. » Read

I hate the idea of triple Liverpool for that reason. It would be a nightmare to go into a Liverpool home fixture against a relegation level side with no Salah or Mane while they have >100% EO. » Read

No, not really. They enter into a contract with their users by asking them to become members on their website. However this would only be relevant in cases like dismissal of a player for a reason that is not deemed fair/legal by the Courts. Contents of the game is under the jurisdiction of the Premier League management (or whoever they assign to management of Fantasy Premier League) and would have no legal consequences. » Read

I think the CL game approach (points for recovery) is terrible. Too imbalanced in favour of defenders and cheap/mid-priced center backs/defensive mids become better options than most premium strikers. » Read

Not really. Racism isn't acceptable and being racist is idiotic anyway but so is making derogatory comments about anyone, even stating someone is stupid. How many people wouldn't have made any derogatory comments about anyone in a private chat (either online or in person) in their lifetime? If there was an established pattern of racist behavior from that person, I'd definitely agree but a single comment in a private group chat doesn't seem fair to me. » Read

We are entitled to know because they offer prizes for the 1st place and in return get members which brings them advertising revenue and more importantly an installed base of users. If they delete the team which finished 1st without any explanations, this brings into question the legitimacy of the platform. They could just do the same every year and award the prizes to the players they prefer for whatever reason. There is probably a legitimate reason for disqualifying him, but transparency is required in such a case. » Read

His girlfriend's team has not been deleted though so doubt that's the case. Also as long as the account is under a different person's name, they can't really distinguish between helping her or managing the team for her. » Read

  8. Assessing Matheus Pereira and West Brom's attacking assets ahead of FPL return 2 days, 3 hours ago

Deleting the #1 team for breach of terms after the season ended is a little different than deleting a #5824562 team which no one cares about. It is important to understand the reason and assess whether it is a satisfactory one; otherwise trust for FPL would be damaged. » Read

Defenders are slightly different to attackers as appearance from sub means 1 point cameo in most cases while attackers still have some chance of scoring even if they come in with 20-30 min to play. Also Tsimikas and Robertson plays only as LB while with attackers there is more flexibility. Also Klopp usually subs in Trent/Robertson when they are on the bench so 1 pointer is more likely than a no-show at times when Robertson doesn't start. » Read

The issue with Trossard were mainly injuries and rotation though. I’ll stay away from any Brighton player as long as Potter is there but I think Brighton is an exceptional case in terms of rotation and early subs. » Read

Actually I was almost certain Di Maria was suspended (pretty sure I saw suspended next game while watching ithe Dortmund game live a few months ago) but he is in all expected lineups I can find so seems like he actually isn’t. So ignore my comment about Di Maria. » Read

Great bargain for Liverpool, having signed a way better player than Lewis for cheaper. I wouldn’t get Lewis for free to be honest. » Read

Way too many Atalanta in my opinion. PSG are the favorites and you’ll struggle with only 5 FTs for semis if Atalanta gets knocked out. Ilicic and Di Maria aren’t available. I’d try to find a way to upgrade Di Maria to Sterling by downgrading some of the Atalanta players starting with Ilicic. » Read

  14. West Bromwich Albion's defence assessed ahead of FPL return in 2020/21 4 days, 1 hour ago

Tsimikas and Lewis aren’t even close in quality. Tsimikas is a great player and was one of the best in Olympiakos team last season. Lewis wasn’t even up to Norwich’s standards. He has no attacking threat at all. He should be playing for a midtable Championship team at best. » Read

I don’t think Laca has much to do with Auba not playing in the middle. Laca was on the bench plenty of times since Arteta took over and Nketiah started in the middle instead, not Auba. It seems like Arteta just prefers him to play as LW rather than CF. » Read

Juve could probably win the title without a manager and Europa League isn’t a big deal for a team with such resources, so not surprising. He shouldn’t have betrayed Napoli and sign with Juve. » Read

If he was nailed, that’s what I’d do without a doubt 🙂 He is still always a good option to bring in and captain in home games (or easy away games) where you can predict he’ll very likely start though. He becomes a great differential and can really boost your rank when it works out. » Read
