  1. Jimenez involved for Mexico as the international break comes to a close 12 hours, 7 mins ago

Fascinating analysis. I was already thinking about Spurs assets given their good fixtures and the Liverpool BGW18, and we already knew Spurs were under-performing. So is Jose the guy to get them going again?I can certainly see him sorting out the Defence, and a greater focus on counterattacking could certainly help Son; but is there a danger that Jose will see Kane's prowess in his midfield role as the way to deliver results (ie for him, not FPL Managers).Another consideration is what Spurs supporters think about this. I doubt he will get the goodwill Ollie got, but he probably won't care and he's a much better Manager. I do suspect his honeymoon if he gets one, will be shorter than the norm, and there will be ructions when things go wrong.Spurs-Chelsea in GW18 should also be a laugh. I am sure that any residual love for Jose in SW London has now been flushed away. » Read

I'm sure Spurs will be 'energised' in the short-term, but down the track I can only see the boring grind we saw at Old Trafford. » Read

It was a nervous International Break and transfer window for the BRIO squad. Recent poor form meant there were no call-ups from international managers, with even the Republic of Ireland giving us a wide berth. And plummeting transfer values dashed Geevious’ hopes of turning a quick profit from a squad fire-sale; however, his cunning plan of benching Tinkerman (last seen popping out for a walk with Major Tom) to protect his selling value did add a cool £75M to the transfer pot. This, combined with the proceeds from the raffle; club fines; and a tabloid exposé involving Lord; Pizza and a Prince in Tramps, provided just enough funds to plug the skills gap with the mighty Lateriser12. Fortunately, he didn’t read the small print, so we now control his image rights and also get a share of his kickbacks from FPL Towers. Overthinker is busy organising extra training, which will focus on learning our secret handshakes and where we sneak out for a ciggie; but we’ve already got him ea… » Read

We pranced into GW11 with hope in our hearts and our heads in the clouds. What could possibly wrong …Well, a severe Nut allergy soon put paid to that plan. Our makeshift physio room was overrun with washed-out Salahs; part-time Otas; and benched Lundys. Captains went AWOL, and our differentials were overwhelmed by a flood of incoming foxes. Fortunately we were able to limit the damage to 15-0.Rio’s early scouting report suggested all would be well in GW12, with our opponents ‘The Keen Fifteen’ evoking visions of a bus full of cheerleaders. It was only on closer inspection that he realised that we were up against 15 psycho clones of his arch nemesis; and we haven’t seen him since. I’m sure reports of him running into the wilderness screaming ‘we’re doomed’ are exaggerated, and he’s really tied up at BT Sport helping Michael Owen count the goals in the Chelsea match.Undaunted by our opponents’ 100% record, limited social skills, and failure to comply with t… » Read

It’s been a long night at the BIOR camp: Proudmore’s still out at the Vardy Party; Waldo is orchestrating the strutting of the Sterling cappers; KDB owners are chuntering about David Silva’s invisible big toe; and MIR has found out what a H2H victory feels like. Meanwhile Gee is organising a search party as Tinkerman has wandered off again. I do hope he hasn’t fallen in with the BSC Small Boys crowd. We’re on the road again in GW11, and it’s Vegan Week in the tent as we plot how to sink our teeth into Brazil’s Nuts. They are already licking their wounds, having done a ‘Mason Greenwood’ in GW10, and the Talk Sport airwaves are awash with calls for the Ginger Whinger’s head. It looks like this could be a close shave. We put Rio in charge of the SatNav, which may have been a mistake as our base camp is an Amazon Depot in Ipswich; however, Spatburgunder, Oddjob, and Slasher have already made a start on mingling with the indigenous population. Gee is attending a Gra… » Read
