  1. FPL Question Time - Consult our panel ahead of Gameweek 9 2 days, 17 hours ago

My bus team has Abraham (C), Vardy (vc). I fancy Vardy to do well, however I always prefer him away or against a "top" side. He seems to be better when Leicester sit back and it gives Vardy space to work behind the last defender. Burnley are solid and keep their shape well, he might be feeding off more scraps than usual. » Read

I'm going all in, Vardy, Maddison and Soyuncu.Front line of Auba, Vardy & Tammy. » Read

Both if possible. If they score it will most likely be Vardy that finishes it. » Read

  4. Reasons to be cheerful for Aubameyang and Wilson owners after first blanks 10 days, 13 hours ago

Tough to drop any of them really, with that midfield I'd probably go for Vardy then. I've compromised with Mane, KDB, Mount & Maddison for mine. If you are committed to the Salah - Sterling axis then it will be two up top. » Read

Both options would work well, it's pretty much a coin flip. Do you have Maddison or another Leicester attacker? You could split the risk with Wilson & Maddison?I've got Auba, Vardy & Abraham so I'm all in on Chelsea & Leicester for the foreseeable future. » Read

I agree. I try not to break the, "Austin" rule but this seemed like a good chance to get ahead of the curve. Vardy is retired from internationals and if Maddison or Abraham pick up an injury then so be it. My GW9 planned bench is Rico, Cantwell & Lundstram so lots of playing options mitigates some of the risk. » Read

Realistically I would liked to keep him for Watford, in isolation that is a fixture you would expect a haul. However there's too much going on with Son and around the club for me.The move was Son & Barnes to Maddison & Vardy. I added Pukki to Abraham as I had exact money and the price would have been 0.3 different today. I wouldn't normally move so early ahead of an IB but this was the plan all along and it seems a good opportunity to get a strong front 7 and generate a bit of TV. » Read

Nope, he was always a Leicester 2 week placeholder for me. Question marks over his game time after his trip to North Korea and Spurs general malaise means I shipped him out for Maddison last night. » Read

I have Alonso but he was a 2 week punt / TAA placeholder. Emerson should be back shortly after the IB and was keeping Alonso out of the team. I think you missed the boat unfortunately. » Read

In a week of captain devastation 48 and a green arrow has to be taken as a smooth.Smooth: Mane shining light and Alonso punt going wellRough: Auba's fail at home to Bournmouth. But in a week that all other options also failed it wasn't too bad.Did anyone successfully captain a decent points scorer? » Read

I think it's an odd move considering Mark's incredible history. Maybe he will be proved right but Martial hasn't played since week 3. He's returned in all three of the games he started but United are a shambles at the moment and aren't free scoring. surely any of Yarmolenko, Maddison, Dilva & McGinn would have been better for that period of time? » Read

Yes I think that's a sensible strategy. Their players will probably occupy most of the top scoring slots by the end of the season. Like a number of people I started with 2 Liverpool defenders. I felt too much money was invested in my defence and I was losing out on KDB, Pukki etc so I moved the money forwards. I can see myself ending the season with 2 liverpool defender and definitely a liverpool triple up in the coming weeks. » Read

Yep, that's exactly what he is for me. I lost patience with Digne and Alonso is just a placeholder for TAA or another Liverpool defender either when their fixtures improve or Emerson is back. » Read

In that case you could reasonably argue that neither do Liverpool. Yet a number of people are shipping their Liverpool assets for the next 5-6 weeks. From 12-17 City have Liverpool & Arsenal away, Chelsea and United at hime with 2 more away games at Newcastle & Burnley. Only 28-32 is tougher for City. » Read

I have Auba, Barnes & Pukki, I'll be moving Son + Barnes to Vardy + Maddison after the IB. Although Auba, Vardy & Abraham would definitely be my preferred front 3. You have a nice team going forward. » Read

4 players is about the lower limit I would consider a wildcard. Could you not do it over 2 weeks for a -4 or -8, then wildcard around 12 or later to take advantage of the Liverpool / City fixture shift? » Read
