Thanks, it's a tough one. If I thought thought was like Bale where if he doesn't start he's likely to not make a cameo I'd be happy to put him in but I can't tell really what's the best choice. Then again Dias might easily be rested for Dortmund having played each of Portugal's games over the break » Read

Who should I play here? A) Dias B) Auba C) Andersen D) Antonio I was on Dias but starting to think Leicester will score, City only kept 1 clean sheet in last 5 and have 2 big games against Dortmund coming up so could have an eye on that. Tempted by Auba with Liverpool's defensive fragilities and since there are usually goals in that fixture but he was awful against West Ham and seems likely to play wide again. » Read

    9. Why an FPL manager's identity is so important 21 days, 8 hours ago

I don't know if anyone else thinks the same as me but I don't actually see it as a "Alonso for easy games, Chilwell for tough games" set-up, I think Tuchel plays Chilwell against teams that are pacier on the wings and more likely to stretch their backline, while Alonso plays against teams that either sit deep or that don't create much or have much speed on the flanks. Examples would be Chilwell playing against Sheffield Utd, Leeds and Wolves (regarded by most as easier games), and Alonso playing against Everton, Spurs and Atletico. I could see Chilwell playing at the weekend personally to deal with the pace of Phillips/ Pereira, although as WBA tend to sit back Alonso probably makes more sense. Palace I'd say Alonso again and then West Ham and Fulham Chilwell but it's still hard to call. » Read

    10. FPL planning during the international break and assets to target in the run-in 25 days, 13 hours ago

It's hard to say no, especially with his record against Brighton. But they do have tough games in the run-in and aren't exactly in great form and Bruno has 1 return in the last 4 (and that was a penalty). It's a tough call, I'm between Kane and Bruno for captaincy this week so I guess going by that I do think you could do with him if you can fit him in » Read

    12. FPL planning during the international break and assets to target in the run-in 25 days, 14 hours ago

A makes more sense with Chelsea's fixtures and general Pep rotation, but if Silva is back after the break then it's possible Rudiger could face rotation too. But I'd actually go for B. I don't think Villa have looked good for a while, Watkins and Villa attack in general misses Grealish a lot clearly and he should be back which will help, but even before he got injured they began to look rather poor offensively. I first thought if Grealish returned before before break Villa in general have a bit of a bounce from it, but I'm starting to think Smith's comment that it's like the rest of the team were just waiting for him to return (rather than try to make up for his absence themselves) is true and that they might just expect things to improve now when he's back rather than on the whole improving their performances. So I do think Watkins will benefit from Grealish being back but I worry about their form, while I think Leeds went through a rough patch recently but looked a lot more conf… » Read

    15. Who has the best and worst upcoming FPL fixtures? 26 days, 13 hours ago

None taken and like I said I could be way off with how I see things going with both of their trajectories. In terms of style I don't see a comparison, I just meant in terms of what type of teams I think they'll get the best out of. Do I think Tuchel will do better than Lampard? Of course, nothing against Lampard but he wasn't exactly a tactician and too often was happy to play far too open a game and just go tit-for-tat. But I still don't think Tuchel will suit exactly what Chelsea need right now (or next season more specifically) » Read

Well I think Havertz could still be a good option but it's kind of in the same way that Werner "could". Lots of potential and chances but a bit wasteful. I watched the Leeds game and the commentator said at one point something like "what more does Havertz have to do to score?" implying he's just been incredibly unlucky, but really his shot against Everton was going wide from a few yards out, and he should have scored against Leeds but got crowded out a couple of times by just not reacting fast enough when he had chances to shoot. He has been unlucky of course but he's admitted himself (as well as Werner) that the Premier League was far more intense and tough than they could have expected and than the Bundesliga. I had Mount for his haul against Liverpool so I won't complain but I think with Havertz and Ziyech fit now his impact is dwarfed a bit, Havertz drops into the 10 role where a few weeks ago Mount was playing and Ziyech naturally drifts into there too on and off the ball so I … » Read

I think Neville had it right after his appointment saying that he thinks within 18 months we'll have the same situation that Lampard was in, although personally I think it'll be even less than that. He has a habit of butting heads with his superiors as well and it'd be hard for the most patient manager to not do that with Abramovich. I think Tuchel is ironically similar to someone like Pochettino, I don't think they're suited to big teams with endless money and egos but teams that are in a bit of a midway point of being between challenging for honours and just being an average mid-table team, and helping them make those steps to move up the table and find consistency is where they excel. I could be way off though and one or both of those two will prove me wrong but we'll see come summer if Tuchel gets much money to invest or if the splurge last season will mean he mostly has to work with what he has » Read
