I seen Peter on Joe's show also, very interesting chat that was. I have my suspicions that it is a weapon to begin with or has been weaponized against the west, but maybe that is just my imagination running wild. I have no doubt that the Chinese government are lying about what is really going on there, whats new? The poor people of China would have not got a taste for bush meat in the first place if it was not for the mass famines that the communist government there brought about.Just the latest crime against humanity that communism has inflicted on the world unfortunately. » Read

Nice article Max,thanks for sharing. I think when doing number crunching for this that China's stats should be left out of the equation as they are not worth the paper they are written on. » Read

Indeed Germany is a power house and have the tools in their bag to deal with this better than most. Maybe if other country's like Ireland were not paying €19m a day in interest alone to bail out German bond holders and prop up a currency that Germany controls to suit itself then we might be able to have a first class health service like other country's have instead of going cap in hand to Germany again. It seems to me at the onset that Italy were looking to the EU to make a decision for them on border closures instead of grasping the bull by the horns themselves.Lots of other reasons too why they are being hit harder than most too like i read somewhere that thousands of people came over from Wuhan to northern Italy where many Chinese work in the textile industry.Big backlash against the EU in Italy right now as the blame game starts. Demographics have a lot to do with it too Max. Larger close knit family's in Italy and Spain along with older populations would go a long way to explaining the variants. They left Italy high and dry in the early stages of the crisis so if any "example" is to be taken from the German's it is to take care of your own first. » Read

Andrew Mar is full of ****. He should go back to selling Trotskyist newspapers outside Kings Cross train station instead of launching his biased ambush routine on his BBC show,it would more honest work at least. Andrew is some man to talk about how poor people should live and think while he is in his garden sunbathing. Your health is your wealth Virg so maybe move to a rural area and you can have all the space you want while at the same time being closer to nature.Cost of living and quality of life is better if you are willing to sacrifice the big bucks and bright lights of City's. » Read

That is a nice way to sort it out if you can get agreement. Might as well just donate the lot to a chosen charity instead of just during a half payout though. » Read

It is a huge problem in the free worlds media Hector. Every firm seems to have their own axe to grind depending on the owners best interest. They must think people are stupid that they can not see right through their bs. The media class of the world are the new elites and bourgeois. They better give a good look at their history books and think what happened to such people in times of revolution. » Read

  13. Living in a socially distant world without FPL 7 days, 17 hours ago

Great article David, thank you. I can not complain too much about my own situation as i know many people are in a lot more of a precarious position than i am in. I come from a big family and most of us live pretty close to each other and usually all our houses would be busy with us visiting each other but that has been put on hold for now barring to odd chat out the window.I think it is worse on the kids as it is very hard on them to understand why this has to be done. When they first got let off school it was a novelty but as the days and weeks pass and they miss playing with their friends and playing sports it is becoming more difficult to appease them.At least in rural areas like where i live we can all get out for a bit of fresh air and exercise while been able to keep up best practice in social distancing. At least that leaves off a bit of pressure and my heart goes out to people living in urban areas where it must be a lot harder to comply with the new directives. I have been … » Read

That is a very astute summery of the situation over there GR. I followed the DNC primary debates and was shocked by the lack of quality in what was a very large field. The only candidates i felt i could have lent my vote to if i were over there were Tulsi Gabbard or Andrew Yang neither of which had a snowballs chance in hell of getting picked. » Read

New York is the worst hit state and Cuomo is the governor that presided over it. If he is coming across as a "true leader" then i am really missing something MH. The only person that thinks that is probably his brother who is an anchor at CNN news. » Read

Are not all of ye Yanks like that though? I am just calling it how i see it YR. What ye do and who ye elect in your own country and state is your own business.I am thousands of miles away and we have our own problems with some of our leadership. I have often voted fro the losing side in elections but respected the will of the people all the same. That is just part and parcel of living in a democracy. » Read

It is an opinion article WR. Nice story but fair to say the journalist here is letting his own beliefs getting in the way of his job. The BBC know all about "mind-bending truth-twisting" of course. 😉 » Read

NBC news never lie about Trump of course GNU? I am sorry but a video montage of clips trying to sell a narrative and taking someone out of context is only going to convince me more of how bias the media has become.I am a bit long in the tooth to be buying that crap. At the end of the day it does not matter what me or you think of his leadership as neither of us are citizens of the USA.Looking at his poll numbers they seem to think he is doing a good job over there and that is what counts.Plenty of other real tyrants literally getting away with murder and not a peep out of these so called journalists. » Read
