With the domestic action on a brief hiatus due to the upcoming internationals, we thought we’d give you an early heads-up on one of the Fantasy games already available for this season’s Champions League. Having supported Fantasy iTeam during the summer World Cup, we’re delighted to announce we’ll be teaming up once again ahead of the competition’s kick-off on Tuesday September 16.

Fantasy iTeam is a free Fantasy football app that’s available on a number of mobile devices, including iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch and Android. With many of you accessing this site and other apps on your mobile or tablets, Fantasy iTeam proved popular amongst the community during Brazil 2014, with a slick and reliable user interface making it a welcome addition to our Fantasy games of choice.

Free to download and play, you can already go in and start drafting up your starting XI with unlimited transfers right up until 10 minutes before the first kick-off. With an iPad mini on offer to the Fantasy Football Scout league winner, there’s no reason not to get involved.

We’ve already set up an official Fantasy Football Scout league for you to join – the league name is Fantasy Football Scout and the pin is 11155.

Furthermore, there are a number of prizes on offer for Fantasy managers. The winner of this season’s Fantasy iTeam game earns a VIP European Match Day Experience for two, whilst second and third spot collect £500 and £250 worth of Amazon vouchers respectively. There’s also a Manager of the Gamreround prize on offer, too – essentially, the Fantasy iTeam that accrues the most points for each individual Champions League Gameround wins a Red Letter Days Experience worth £150.

The Fantasy iTeam game also uses fluctuating player prices based on the transfer market, making it a wise idea to follow the current trends – the team with the highest value by the end of the tournament wins another £500 Amazon voucher.

If you’re looking to dabble in the Champions League this year and have a compatible device, then there’s really no reason not to click here for the official website and download the app.

We’ll continue our coverage of the Fantasy iTeam Champions League game over the next week or so. Next up, we’ll cast an eye over the rules before delving deep into the player price list for potential bargains.

Paul Is certain he won't make the same mistakes next season. Follow them on Twitter

Planned a "wait on Falcao" post, after I read in the paper about him trying to get a visa whilst on international duty in Amercia... and seeing how Rojo has had issues.

Plus his lack of fitness... and I was going to look at his starts at new clubs as maybe a negative....

    I looked. I was SO wrong!! 😯

First seasons in the league at...

    Porto
7 goals in first 7 games

    Atletico
5 goals in first 3 games

    Monaco
7 goals in first 7 games

    😯

I still have concerns over United and his fitness... but wow!! Shame I cant get him without -8. 🙁 😛

premier league a whole different ball game. Coming off a serious injury as he has he won't be rushed back in and if he is then he will get injured again

Not so sure about this whole "Premier league is a different game" thing. Spanish teams have been more succesful thanEnglish teams in the European game in recent years. He has performed really well at all levels he has played at.

when I mean different I mean the pace and technically. Alot more pressing by smaller teams whilst in spain he is just left with the ball when playing smaller sides.

He might adjust well (like costa) but fair chance he will get injured again or pick up a knock as he gets used to it

he has pace and is technically very very good. I hear this phrase banded about a lot and to be honest it doesn't mean anything really. A good player will adjust and soon realise the best way to deal with it. the physicality is coming out of the game due to the current refereeing. its not as hard as it once was. Players cant afford to make the rash, ill timed challenges that they used to. Its a pointless discussion as it will come down to how he performs in the end. Loads of players manage and loads dont. He is a class act. He will do well imo. United wont be this bad for much longer.

That settles my nerves a bit. Already took the plunge, somewhat bizarrely because I needed to free up funds to do Dunne -> Caulker. Studge -> Falcao did the trick lol.

They rotate well with Chelsea. I know, that sounds daft 🙂 But I'll never drop my Chelsea defenders, I'll just play the QPR lads alongside them when they have their tough fixtures.

When put like that yes it sounds daft. But I also wanted Caulker for the goal threat. I don't know why I didn't just downgrade Studge to Balotelli though, rather than risking Falcao so early...

Compare to this randomly selected team from 10 years ago (vs Switzerland as it happens)

England: James, Gary Neville, Campbell, Terry, Ashley Cole, Beckham, Gerrard, Lampard, Scholes (Hargreaves 70), Owen (Vassell 72), Rooney (Dyer 83).
Subs Not Used: Robinson, Walker, Bridge, Phil Neville, King, Carragher, Butt, Joe Cole, Heskey.

      Hey guys,

This is my 1st time to put in my team I guess. Can I get ur advice?

Goal: Krul and myhill (foster is injured now I guess so he might play)

Def: Cahill - colloccini - PVA - chester - moore

Med: ramsey - sterling - hazard - siggy - marney

For: Costa - Rooney - Adebayor

Before the break I was willing to do upto 3 transfers. All my thoughts are:

      1. cahill to ivanovic or to use his cash to Moreno and clyne (by replacing one of the other def)

      2. Hazard to fabregas

      3. Rooney to falcao or sturridge

      4. Adebayor to welback

combinations of these can happen or even none. Ur advice is very much appreciated if it is not too much
