Who to get in for Depay??

I am tempted to get Adama Traore given the fixtures and price
    Or just keep Depay???????

I'm keeping, his stats are good and he's due a good score. But could switch to Coutinho.

Not Adama Traore for Memphis. No no no. Maybe look at Shaq or Ayew if you want to raise some cash, .org Yaya / Pedro / Silva if you can afford to upgrade.

Capoue and Behrami have a huge job of nullifying Silva on the weekend.

If they do that you'd think Prodl(6"4) and Cathcart (6"2) could deal with Sterling and Navas crosses reaching little Kun.

In fact, we had exactly the same starting team, except you had King over Wanyama, both had Hazard (C) and Benteke (C), both did Walcott > Payet in GW2...

Very weird! You captained Aguero this week though (I went for Depay). You're a little ahead due to your Targett CS, though.

I'm on the fence over whether it's worth a hit, as well.

I think it largely depends on long term strategy. There is no doubt that Depay will become good, but he is lacking in support and is likely to fall in value. Pedro has a great record and has, seemingly, has hit the ground running. He will rise in price and I think might take points from Hazard. Assuming that Chelsea will score more than a toothless United side, I think it is probably a good move - esp for Palace at home.

I'm inclined to agree. United's fixtures look tough for an attacking player, and the TV aspect is another good point. For a hit it's risky, but should be worth it over the course of a few weeks, I expect.

    Forget FPL....

Who do you think is the better number 10?

    Ozil or Coutinho

For me its Coutinho by a mile, he has far worse players around him yet takes the game by the scuff of the neck and makes things happen, often for himself too. He has a better shot, scores more often (in recent times), and better pace to get the team up the pitch.

In fact i think Ozil is only better at ball retention but that's because he rarely risks anything.

Swap them teams and i think Ozil would continue to coast around the pitch not doing much whilst i think Coutinho would improve Arsenals penetration considerably.

I think Ozil is surviving off his prior reputation and was at one stage world class but for me he has lost it somewhere along the way. Coutinho seems to be getting better and better.

Neither are fit to tie David Silva's laces but that's by the by.

Im expecting outrage and cries of "no way Ozil is better" but i just cant see it....

I was actually thinking during the game how good arsenal could be with coutinho

        Sanchez Coutinho Ox/Walcott

would be a frighteningly quick and good 3 behind a decent striker

Imagine they swapped teams. Really diificult call Disable. For me, whilst their games are different, I'd struggle to pick one above the other FPL aside. I do love Mesut on his day though so maybe swinging to him.

Ozil of course. Just becuase he comes across as a lazy type doesnt make him a bad player. Stats dont lie, the amout of chances he creates is ridiculous

Well where are the assists? Cant argue he should get more with Sanchez etc around him,

        5 last season for him....

      Couldn't disagree more.
Just look at their careers to date, club & country.
Coutinho is a great looking player but flatters to deceive.
Ozil in fairness hasn't really nailed down a decent run of form with Arsenal but rarely plays in his ideal position.
Ozil is 3 or 4 years older granted, but they are a league apart at present.

      Unless you're talking FPL .... 😉

I think giroud also has a big effect on ozil. He would make coutinho look like bentley tbh

As i said, Ozil WAS world class but is on the decline for me. Coutinho on the up.

But in anycase its about now not the past or future. Right now i would say Coutinho is the better player

5 assists and four goals last season for Ozil in that Arsenal team is woeful!

Yeah I get that and I guess you have a good point as Ozil seems to lack a hunger but maybe the Arsenal system just isn't suiting.
At Bremen, Real (initially) & for Germany he had the free role of a deepish no10 but you could say he was a luxury but his stats were brilliant. Apart from the occasional flash he isn't producing enough.
However, much as I like Coutinho I still feel it's very early days for him - he still has a lot to prove - maybe if he starts week in week out this season he'll prove me wrong.

Definitely Coutinho. Number 10 is not just about creating chances, but scoring some too.

marginally more than Ozil in recent times.

Bet he scores more goals than Ozil this season too

Marginally cant be used in arguments. If ozil played for liverpool im sure he would have more goals as well. A team with not as many other players scoring goals as arsenal

Couthino easily he is younger and already has more to his game than Ozil quicker better dribbler better finishing I reckon he will be playing at Barcelona in a year or two.

I'm not an arsenal fan but the guy Ozil takes much more stick than deserved. He always looks dangerous when I see him. He's no Silva but he can play. He looks a bit soft but he does work harder than he's given credit for. You don't get in that German team for nothing.

Coutinho always looks dangerous but has only recently started influencing games.

I'd probably call them about even at the minute, but if I had to take one for a game tomorrow it would be Ozil.

Özil...whichever team he plays for, people expect more than he delivers.

As for Coutinho, in pre-season very few people expected anything from him.

      Expectations management?

Coutinho last season: 103 shots, 5 goals. Constantly smashing it over the bar from range, whereas Özil keeps the move going.

This. Ozil is undervalued. He was the BEST player on the pitch yesterday. No one (including Silva) has his vision and passing skills. The ball is always perfectly placed. I bet it touches you like a pillow

Ozil. I wouldn't even say Coutinho is a typical no.10, more just an attacking midfielder, he doesn't create enough.
