Am I wrong to want to play the four defenders ahead of Noble?
(Obviously if Cashley turns out to be injured for his match, things are simplified...)
Not necessarily wrong, I'd probably be swaying towards benching Noble too. Then again, isn't he on penalties? I can't see you benching Cashley or Kompany if they're fit so it's Cuellar or Hangeland that needs to go if you gamble with Noble. Tough one...
I currently have Cuellar as first sub, but with Liverpool's current form...
Fulham have conceded 6 in two games, Sunderland 2 in 2 games. Both have kept clean sheets once. Fulham at home to Norwich and Sunderland away to Arsenal. Norwich have shipped 7 goals in 3 games including giving away a penalty at home...

Thanks - it is tough. I could always bench Cashley, but that seems wrong. I've got Cech in goal to cover Chelsea. (They are a legacy of the dgw1).
Hmmm if you have Cech I guess you could maybe bench Cashley to spread the risk. He never scores does Cashley so you're banking on 6. Whereas Cuellar and Hangeland are good for a goal. Tall guys going up for corners/set pieces. It does seem wrong to bench Cashley but that's mainly cus of his price and the team he plays for. Long term I would look at getting rid of him for someone cheaper.

and/or do morrisson to mcclean/walters/nolan/dyer perhaps... not sure just throwing out some ideas
might try to get naylor's replacement in for gorkss (4.0 i believe but can't remember who it's supposed to be)
Thanks mate, some good advice to ponder. I have McClean currently but I think Morrison being .5 cheaper is appealing. Nolan...I don't have a lot of belief he'll continue this form of a goal every second game. Dyer is an interesting one but there's a rotation risk with Hernandez...He does seem like a bargain though if he keeps starting.
Walters is always good because he takes penos but I don't like having any Stoke attack personally. They're very defensive generally and hard to rely on.
Naylor's replacement Davies...he could be a bargain too but it's just not guaranteed he'll play yet. Too risky imo.
Guthrie is one I would definitely consider to free up funds. Thanks for the advice!

ahhh I see. honestly without michu i'd go dyer if I were you. and I think the general thought is that routledge is the one who's spot is under threat.
if i was on a wc i'd take the risk. worst case he's a 4.0 that sits on your bench for a few weeks until you can replace him. and odds are he should start. compared to gorkss i'd take that risk
yeahh i think guthrie is a good choice as he frees up funds and is an easy option for the bench but still plays so can get you a couple points (or if lucky more than that) off the bench if someone else doesn't play

Thanks mate, Ye I've got 0.5m in the bank to do that but I'm trying to see how much I can budget it all. It would be the safer option for sure. I'd like to have Foster over Begovic but he's cheaper so I thought I'd experiment with having that extra 0.5m

:D. though only slightly of course ;). i'll admit though I took a hit to get rid of messi for a gw last season. and i'll also admit that (at least for the time being) i'll also call people crazy if they have no ronaldo in their team!
I feel bad for those that missed out on him as a 5 goal captain! and the way I see it messi (and ronaldo for that matter) is basically a wayyy better version of fpl rvp at the same price (well actually less now that rvp is like 13.4)

Thinking of going Baines + 4 uber-cheapos in defence. Hazard, Cazza, 2 out of Pienaar/Barfa/Dyer/Nolan, Guthrie. And RVP, Tevez, Lambert/Fletcher up front.
Maybe get McClean and Pienaar in midfield and Lambert up front?

They have quite a good and easy group... Porto are a threat but with Hulk gone should be a little weak,...
Ibra will blow the group away with goals and is a must have... T.Silva is a good defender if you have the money to spend or Sirigu (gk) should be good from their defense..
Motta is a budget midfield pick... and Lavezzi is a mid price attacker...

Don't go with Jenkinson, he will likely be dropped once Sagna is back and you'll have to transfer him out. Jenkinson > another 4.5 defender imo.
Sagna wont be back at least more 1 month. I think i will sell him later to gain more money, his price will rise like rocket if Arsenal keep CS agains Saints IMO
