Following the conclusion of Gameweek 21, we’ve updated both the Career Hall of Fame and the Live version for members. The Career version now includes all new additions to the Fantasy Football Scout leagues and is viewable to all via this link or a new top menu “HoF” link. This table will be updated every week with new entrants.

The “Live” version of the Hall of Fame, available to our Members, has been updated to include points earned in Gameweek 21. This will be updated with the latest rankings 24-hours after the conclusion of every Gameweek from this point on.

If you missed our meeting, emails and telegrams on the Hall of Fame and wondering what all this chatter is about, look below for a quick guide. Alternatively, you can view this movie to listen to myself and Rate My Team’s Chris Atkinson talk you through it.

What is the Hall of Fame?
In simple terms, this is as ranking system which can be applied to everyone in our Fantasy Premier Leauge mini-leagues – both the free and the members league. The Hall of Fame tracks the performances of every manager over each of the seasons they have participated and awards a ranking according to the performances. We have a career table that updates every season and a live table that will be updated using the latest season data, after every Gameweek.

How is my rating calculated?
The “HoF Rating” is based on your points scores from previous FPL seasons, with the latest season weighted the heaviest and each corresponding season weighted at roughly 80% that of the previous season. So, in other words, those who performed best in 2011/12 will receive a bigger HoF Rating boost from those who did best in 2006/07. The “HoF Ranking” even allows for those with missing years, adapting the formula accordingly to allow to rank alongside the veterans of the FPL.

How do I join the Hall of Fame
Simply sign up to our leagues, either the Fantasy Football Scout Classic League (40184-13425), or if you’re a member, the Members Classic League – the code is available on the dashboard of the Members Area.

How do I find myself in the Hall of Fame?
The search box at the top of the ranking tables allows you to search by surname or by FPL id.

What if I don’t want to be listed?
Either notify us via support@fantasyfootballscout.co.uk or simply leave the Fantasy Football Scout league and you’ll be removed on the next update.

When does the Hall of Fame get updated?
The Career table is available to all and is updated at the end of each season to display the latest rankings.

The Live version of the Hall of Fame is updated every week to use the latest season data. This version will only be available to our members in the Members Area. If you wish to get access to the live version, you can sign up as a member – our half season memberships are now available for just £10. Click here for details on upgrading your account or signing up.

Anyone keen for Chamakh as a cheap third forward? Carlton has been abysmal so should go straight in for DGW.

Seems to be that way. There may be merit to the idea of using the wild card now and stocking up with loads of Chelsea and Southampton players (plus Arsenal and West Ham for that matter) then watching them all play easy fixtures for the next 7 or 8 game weeks. Could work a treat.

Alright lads I could really do with a bit of advice here on whether an 8pt hit is really worth it, even for the DGW's

    Begovic, Foster

    GIBBS, O'BRIAN, Davies, Cameron, *Enrique*
    WALCOTT, PUNCHEON, Fellaini, Michu, Bale
    Rvp, BA, *Tevez*

    0FT's
    $0 Bank

I'm only really concerned by Enrique but I'm 50/50 on Tevez. Luiz is high on the priority list as I believe he will start both games as Mikel and Terry will be out. So here's my plan

    Enrique + Tevez -> Luiz + Giroud 8pt hit

I will need to sell Tevez in order to afford Luiz. Admittedly Giroud is a punt one week too soon especially as its against Citeh. However I think he will start due to Walcotts inept display up front in the last game. Thoughts/Alternatives?

I'd probably do Enrique > Azpilicueta and leave it at that, I take it you already used your FT on getting O'Brien? Tevez will probably play against Arsenal if Aguero is out so monitor that news.

Will certainly keep an eye out on the news. May even consider going crazy and using the Wildcard stocking up on the 4 DGW teams seeing as they all have decent fixtures from now on.

Yeah I Kneejerked O'Brian in regrettably (injury doubt) but Aspilicueta is a serious rotation risk and I can't see him playing both games.

hit looks good. but toss up between giroud and pod imo.

why not bench giroud though? puncheon and ba both have a dgw this week, rvp you can't bench, and it'd be hard to bench one of walcott afro michu or bale

Well it might have been easier if you hadn't kneejerked and done an easy transfer. The 8 point hit is probably only going to worsen your situation. Especially if you get in someone like Giroud who is far from nailed on.

New plan which involves keeping Begovic (I bought him when he cost 4.5 so I should probably just stick with him all season)

WC this week and get this team:

    Begovic, Turnbull

    Azpilicueta, Cameron, Davies, Harte, Demel

    Walcott, Mata, Bale, Cazorla, Michu

    Benteke, Lambert, RVP

    GW 23: Azpilicueta -> Gibbs
    GW 24: nothing
    GW 25: Turnbull & Cazorla -> Cesar & Taarabt
    GW 26: Benteke -> Suarez
and Cameron & Davies -> Wilson & Cuellar when Wilson comes back and Swansea's home fixtures get really tough.

I'd only be making 4 transfers with my WC and one of them would be O'Brien -> Demel but I still think it's a better option than taking hits to get DGW players in and then playing the WC at the end of January.

Use WC now get very long term players with prepare DGW for GW 22 and GW 23.
and then Save FT in GW 23.
in GW 24 we have 2 FT.
    Isn't it a good idea?

The problem is we don't know who's the best for long term because everything can be changed. Like Ba last season

Would you WC with this team?

    Begovic, Jaas
    Luiz, Rafael, Demel, Davies, Cuellar
    Cazorla, Walcott, Snodgrass, Michu, Sterling
    RVP, Suarez, Berbatov.

    (2.5 in bank)

I was thinking of just Cazorla to Mata for free, or Sterling to Punch for -4 hit.
Next GW change one of my def to Gibbs.

    Advice guys?

Suarez could go mental against Norwich though and I thought with his form now, he's a season keeper.

Even though Mata is clearly a great player to own for the DGW I don't know if I'd sacrifice Afro for him as Afro's fixtures are amazing.

Turnbull isn't worth a hit imo...the type of transfer that could end up looking disastrous. At least with Luiz you can hope for an explosive game that might make up for any goals conceded. I would be strongly against ever transferring in a keeper for a hit.

It's still not worth a hit to get Turnbull mate, with a 4 point hit he might return two CS = 12 points

              Take away 4 and that's 8 points.

If Foster kept a CS you'd get close to that anyway. There is just no upside to it. A GK transfer is never worth a hit.

HOLY SHITE DZ.......just when i thought i had the DGW figured out, this is thrown upon us.

If there is to be back-to-back dgw......Must take full advantage (and spend a few points to fix after if you do no have your regular WC). It will catch most of the lucky casuals ahead of us totally off guard (they may even miss the match all together). Most people playing this game do not read sites like FFS and have no clue what is happening. Maximizing DGW coverage will be worth 40-60 points.

Thankfully WHM and ARS have decent fixtures after GW23 and fixing the mess should not be all that difficult. Further....check out RVP's fixture's after DGW......he will pull us through while we undo what we created!

It is times like this where those of us that live fantasy football will thrive and make others in our private ML ask the question YET AGAIN...."how do you do it? every year you smash us and take our money!!!"

If there is a victor in the FA cup match tomorrow.....hit that WC button without hesitation as soon as the whistle blows at 90 mins and do not look back.

There is serious merit to using the WC for the DGW's because of the relatively kind fixtures afterwards for all 4 teams (not so much Southampton). It'd probably be better to maybe take hits to get players out rather than definitely take hits to bring players in.

Think of the easy sell off's

        Hazzard > Bale
        Nolan>Pienaar
        Che DEF>Wilson
        Caz>Michu/Fellaini
        Podolski>Jelly/Dave

I think I could do a better job than those options and reduce the risk even more. I like the idea though. Now its just a matter of reducing the risk as much as possible and the dependance on selling loads of players.

Best option if WCing this week?

    (A) Baines & Ba
    (B) Azp & Suarez

I think Ba & Azp will probably only get 1 game each, so probably more upside with Ba. If Suarez had better fixtures then I'd be more tempted to keep him.

Suarez (mun, NOR, ars, mcy) vs Baines (SWA, sot, WBA, AVL)

I think Baines is worth backing as it will catch a lot of people on the hop if he does well. Suarez would likely be set for some regression with the tough fixtures and his new role in the side.

    DGW Gives me a headache

    My team current team:
    Begovic - Vorm
    Rafael - Sagna - Cameron - Cuellar - Demel
    Fellaini - Michu - Silva - Walcott - Taarabt
    RVP - Benteke - Ba

    I did Sessegnon -> Fellaini.
Should i take a 4 hit for SIlva -> Mata or Use WC ?

Do you think these DGWs might slow down the rush to get in players like Fellaini and Bale (two players I lack)?

My main concern about being so focused on the DGWs is that other players I will want to get in my w/c will be more expensive by the time I get round to doing it (assuming I do at the last possible moment)

Would it be fair to say that with two DGWs in a row much of the transfer activity will be based around them thus slowing down mega price rises elsewhere?

THe problem is that you might not gain as much value for CHE/SOT players rising because of short game week. Also the "transfer window for gw23 will be open on Wednesday, might need to act fast.

Yes I think their price won't rise too much as a result. I'm even considering selling Bale in order to have Mata for the DGW if I chose to WC. Prices for single gameweek players will be tempered by the rise in price and the profits we make off DGWers anyway.

^^This. The only thing that can hurt Suarez's FPL value for me. He's world class IMO.

Would you pass to Torres? You might as well just pass it to the GK 🙂

good point ....lol .....but i remember when Drogba was playing. Sturridge would be making a run along the base line with Didier WIDE OPEN in the box. I can remember screaming at the TV screen.........."PASS THE F"N BALL",,,,,yet he would still elect to shoot from an impossible angel.

Another possible DGW on the horizon. Another perfect example of how 'templating' for the season can be. Anyway, currently on a hit already due to injuries and TV drops, as of now I've got:

Sagna, Walcott, O'Brien, Punch, Mata and Ba as double-DGW players if confirmed.

My question is, what would be the largest hit to consider entering each DGW? I went -12 on the previous one but admit I got lucky with Sess(c) and his late goal with Cuellar's assist, so I'm a bit reluctant on taking more hits. Then again, it could pay off massively. Any thoughts on this from the experienced DZ?

I'm not a big believer in taking hits at all tbh unless it's a mega DGW like at the end of last season. But, even then, it's usually possible to plan so as to avoid the need for hits. At most, I'd consider a -4 for a longish term prospect. Otherwise I'm not sure it's worth it. A good team will already have coverage of the teams worth covering for a DGW, if you don't, then you might as well WC.

I'm considering an 8pt hit. Theres a strong arguement to WC instead but I'd also say that you can make better decisions about your WC team when not blinded by DGW fever

Tks for the replies. I'm saving the WC for the aftermath of the DGW's while minimizing hits, safer this way and gives you options on late market PL transfers.

    Morning DZ'ers.

Am planning to WC some time after GW 23. With 0 left in the bank, this is my draft team:

    Begovic, Bunn
    Baines, Zabaleta, Rafael, Wilson, Shorey
    Cazorla, Mata, Silva, Michu, Schneiderlin,
    Betbatov, Fletcher, RVP

    Would appreciate your thoughts!

Price changes might not help. Too much in defence imo.

        Cheers,

Yeah, though it's only Wilson, Shorey and Silva that I have to worry about going up (and who they're replacing going down obviously!).

I don't usually spend much in defence but Baines is basically a MID and it occurred to me that City and United will probably average a CS between them each GW so might be worth it.

Silva is the one who is eating up my budget but I like the idea of 4 left footed spaniards in my midfield!

Your forwards are very weak. Also I would do Silva to Bale and downgrade atleast 2 of your defenders to upgrade Fletcher.

Cheers - I'm not sure I'd describe them as 'very weak' - they're all in the top 10 goalscorers this season. Who would you upgrade Fletcher to?

By gameweek 23 we'd hopefully know whether Suarez is worth getting or not with Sturridge in the side and you could also consider Aguero if he's nailed on by then. Or maybe Defoe is he regains his form.

Your forwards are fine mate, hardly 'weak' considering their fixtures over the next month or so.

    DGW Gives me a headache

    My current team:
    Begovic – Vorm
    Rafael – Sagna – Cameron – Cuellar – Demel
    Fellaini – Michu – Silva – Walcott – Taarabt
    RVP – Benteke – Ba

    I did Sessegnon -> Fellaini.

    so what should i do?
    a) Take a 4 hit bring Mata or if no DGW in GW 22 Bring Bale and sell Silva.
    b) use WC and make a long term team

I'd just do the Mata/Bale for Silva.... both worth a hit probably.
      Save WC til last week.
