With cheque books fluttering on the eve of the transfer window slamming shut, our Fantasy seasons could be transformed by some notable new arrivals. In this week’s ScoutCast episode, Granville and I chew over the latest fresh faces to crash the player list – United’s “Angel” Di Maria and Liverpool’s “Devil” Balotelli.

        I'd say Chelsea will err on the side of caution and rest him this week. Hammy's are dodgy things and don't think they'll risk an apparent twinge turning into a full blown tear which would keep him out for weeks.

        That said i hope it's nothing serious and he plays as it'll only leave me with one striker if he doesn't.

    While the early wildcard wont benefit as much from price rises as in previous years, it can certainly help to protect value. It seems that players who don t perform quickly drop and carrying 4-5 of those players mean it will be hard to avoid losing 1.0 on them.

    I also like GW4 due to the international break (injuries) and the transfer window being closed.

        Bego to Krul means another 0.5 than can be used on a decent 4.5 dfender to rotate (PvA, Naylor)

          yeah... every year i tend to use my wild card too early and then a few weeks later i wish had some of those players, or wish i used it when i had a real injury crisis... i get your point though... im taking knocks all over the place now for the preservation onf my WC

            has this preservation of WC ver worked well for you? If you have a bad start, I think you have to straighten the ship right away, it's easier to catch up now than later

                First time im trying to keep it... To be honest if WC'ed GW1 i would have had Ramsey in my team and probably dropped Lamela.... but now... i want aguero... I guess as the guys mentioned every week you keep your WC you get a little more info...

      Double game week is the major draw for saving your WC. Load up on a team of 10/11 DGW players by planning well then wildcard yourself a balanced team for the following week

          While there's certainly an argument to play a WC for upcoming double GW's, you can also start planning for those in the preceding few weeks using only free transfers i think so it's not that crucial to save a WC for that IMO.

      Mourinho is smarter than playing Fabregas at 9. We saw Schurrle play false 9 at Old Trafford last season, but only because Mou went there to shut up shop from kick off. No doubt that Chelsea will want to win at Goodison, and Costa hasn't even been ruled out!
