Angel di Maria could be set for his United debut this weekend. Bojan Krkic returns to full training after recovering from a knock. James Collins joins the Hammers’ injury list after sustaining a hamstring injury, while Wilfried Zaha could be set to turn out for Palace if his loan deal is sealed in time.

Angel di Maria could be poised for his United debut at Burnley after joining from Real Madrid on Tuesday, though compatriot Marcos Rojo is unlikely to receive a work permit in time. Shinji Kagawa sustained concussion in the cup loss at MK Dons and looks set to miss out, with Louis van Gaal stating United now have 10 injured players as they head to Turf Moor.

Bojan Krkic has returned to full training after missing Stoke’s midweek cup match. Mark Hughes is without Geoff Cameron, though, while fellow right-back Phil Bardsley is a doubt – the summer signing has failed to train all week with a knee problem.

Mikel Arteta and Kieran Gibbs remain sidelined with injury as Arsenal head to Leicester. Arsene Wenger has also confirmed that keeper David Ospina in back in full training but is likely to miss out on the clash against Nigel Pearson’s Championship winners.

Sebastien Pocognoli (thigh) is a doubt for West Brom’s trip to Swansea with a thigh problem. Victor Anichebe is expected to recover from a groin complaint, whilst Gareth McAuley, James Morrison and Cristian Gamboa are all in the squad after featuring in the midweek cup clash with Oxford.

Sam Allardyce has confirmed James Collins has picked up a hamstring injury and is out of the Hammers’ home match against Southampton, while new boy Diafra Sakho is a doubt with a back problem.

The Saints, meanwhile, have a near fully-fit squad to choose from, with only wide man Lloyd Isgrove, along with long-term absentee Jay Rodriguez, ruled out by Ronald Koeman.

Cheick Tiote remains out for Newcastle’s home encounter with a hamstring problem. Jack Colback has recovered from the knock that saw him miss the Capital One Cup clash with Gillingham and, along with young winger Rolando Aarons, is in the Magpies’ squad.

Harry Redknapp has revealed Charlie Austin – who missed out last week with a hamstring problem – will be assessed again today before deciding whether the frontman can return to training. Alejandro Faurlin is set for an extended period on the sidelines after sustaining an anterior cruciate ligament injury in the midweek cup loss to Burton Albion.

Wilfried Zaha looks poised for his Palace debut bow at Newcastle after rejoining the club on a season-long loan deal yesterday. Joe Ledley could be set to miss Palace’s trip to Newcastle with the groin problem sustained in the warm-up prior to last week’s loss to West Ham. Scott Dann is in with a chance of recovering from a thigh knock, though.

All this and more has now been updated in the Team News section ahead of tomorrow’s deadline. Keep an eye on our official twitter stream as breaking news unfolds.

Sorry if this has already been asked but, with Arteta and Giroud out anyone know who is on pens for Arsenal? I would assume Sanchez but I remember Ozil taking one last year (and missing I think)

      Probably Ozil, if he plays...

Don't think he'll start with Ramsey back. Expect
        Flamini
        Ox Wilshere Ramsey Ozil
        Sanchez

he may not start this week given the shift he put in v besiktas...but he would be first in line imo if he plays...ox wilshere cazorla could all be benched for this one, we don't know...

No-one really knows. I think Oezil's the only player who's taken one before, so he might be favourite, but as you say, he did miss that high profile penalty against Bayern.

Which transfers do you guys like? Both for free
    A) DDG and Young to Forster/Mannone and Larsson
    B) DDG and Henderson to Forster/Mannone and Sigurdsson

Interested in which keeper people prefer as well.

Ramsey is arguably the safer captain choice, but does Jovetic have a much higher ceiling for points?

I can't see Rambo blanking, but I can't see him getting a hattrick either.
I can see Jovetic doing either of those things.

Can't see Rooney blanking again this week. I also Can't see Manchester United lose again. That 4-0 lose to MK Dons should of shaked them up. I honestly think Arsenal may struggle away at Leicester. They haven't been playing to well of late.

I like how you fancy United to do well, because of their poor form shaking them up..

..and you fancy Arsenal to do badly, because of their poor form causing them to struggle 😉

The thing with Arsenal is, they have been winning/getting results from their games. Man U have little to nothing to show from their games. Thats why I think Man u will be stronger this GW. Arsenal will be slightly complacent.

Oh really? I heard they were lucky but that wasn't a very reputable source..
              I fancy this Arsenal team.

Not sure about the City game being tight, I'm expecting 3-0.

They could've scored 5 or 6. Arsenal always leave it late, it's the only way to be.

City game will be close rather than tight, that Liverpool team is horrible at the back and look a shadow of the team that took City at the Etihad last year.

City still haven't played good opposition. Will say that winning the Charity Shield probably goes against Arsenal since City will be hungry. Think it'll be as good a game as the 6-3 last year.

"West Brom and Metalist Kharkiv remain in talks over a deal for Sebastian Blanco - hoping to agree some time today"

Blanco is an interesting midfielder who has refused to return to Ukraine due to the upheavals in the country. Might be cheaper than expected due to Metalist's financial problems.

Roma's president James Pallotta is adamant that Chelsea target Mattia Destro is not for sale.

Amyone any idea what's gonna happen with Puncheon now? Surely he won't play at all if he stays under Warnock...

    Wild card active

    A) Hazard, Sterling, Naismith

    or

    B) Fabregas, Chadli, Baloteli

    Krul
    Anholtt, Hutton, Ivanovic, Naylor, Dummett
    Ramsey, (Haz/Fab), Siggy, (Sterling/4.5), Chadli
    Rooney, Aguero, (Naismith/Balotelli)

Please let me know your thoughts.

Not much between Hazard and Fabregas
Naismith will get game time and cheap but tough fixtures
Balotelli is class and I'm glad he's back in prem but may need some game time
Hutton after this week fixtures are very bad
Not keen on Newcastle double up at the back and who's your other keeper?

        Second keeper is Gilks.

Will play around with the back line - any suggestions for 4m defenders or 4.5m keepers?

I guess the big question is: will the introduction of Balotelli dent the appeal of Sterling and who will be the best performer?

Krul and Mannone rotate well, the only 4 defender is Wisdom I'd say!
I think Balotelli will help Sterling he should play in the hole. Unfortunately Coutinho may be the one to suffer especially since Balotelli may want set piece duties

    Anyone captaining Sturridge?

Looked very lively against Man City and in all honesty the only Liverpool player that looked like scoring a goal or creating one. Very active.

It's between him, Ramsey, Sigurdsson, Rooney and maybe Jovetic if I get him in for a -4 for Diego Costa. Right now I am on Sturridge though.

Not a bad choice, I agree he looked good.

Balotelli's potential involvement would put me off. Isn't necessarily bad news for Studge but would want to know how they set up before I captained him.

    My current team:

    PVA, Dummet, Hutton,
    Silva, Ramsy, Siggy, Mata
    Rooney, Jovetic (C), Aguero

    Bench: Given, Rodwell, Clyne, Wisdom

Shame really as debate and interchange of ideas can lead to improvement. Quite amused at his reaction I must admit, reminds me of a kid putting fingers in their ears shouting when they're trying to ignore something they don't want to hear!

I went about 2 months in the middle of my internship having one for breakfast every day, it was awesome.

Massively underrated, I'd expect them to rise in price this week.

    Current team

    Krul

    Debuchy Jones Wisdom

    Siggy Rambo Mata Hazard

    Dzeko Costa Rooney

I have 2 free transfers so I can easily taka 1 week punt on someone for Costa if he is deemed unfit and still have 2 freebies after the international break to rebuild the team.

Who is best one week punt for Costa?

    Jovetic
    Bony
    Riviere
    Someone else?
