The first of two Sunday fixtures gets underway at 1.30pm as Bournemouth welcome Arsenal to the Vitality Stadium.

Both sides have failed to pick up a clean sheet over the previous four Gameweeks, with the Cherries ranked bottom for both big chances conceded (12) and goals against (10).

That could be good news for the Gunners’ Alexandre Lacazette, who has failed to score in each of his last seven league outings.

Despite that recent drought, the Frenchman is the top captaincy pick for this match among Fantasy Premier League managers and ninth overall, claiming 2.2% of armbands.

However, there’s no spot in the squad for Alexis Sanchez as speculation over his future gathers pace in the January transfer window.

Elsewhere for the Gunners, Aaron Ramsey returns to the bench after recovering from a hamstring problem – he averaged 5.4 points per match (ppm) prior to injury.

Arsenal recent lack of resilience also looks promising for Eddie Howe’s side.

The Cherries were ranked first for shots inside the box (50) over the previous four, with Callum Wilson in fine form – only Harry Kane managed more shots on target (10 to seven).

And Jordon Ibe also boasts some eye-catching underlying stats – he ranked second for both shots (17) and key passes (13) over Gameweek 19-22.

Paul Is certain he won't make the same mistakes next season. Follow them on Twitter

with wilshere playing so well, is Rambo less likely to come back in next week?

Iwobi likely to give way. Or formation change and welbeck to the bench. They should keep playing wilshere, he's their best best player right now.

Wilshere at whatever price he is is probably a complete bargain, Arsenals best player now that Alexis and Ozil are gone

Can't see Ramsey and Ozil alongside Laca upfront.

        That would be paceless..

Hazard Sane Richarlison > Kdb Salah Iwobi (-4) worth it?

Iwobi would be nailed now.Wouldnt he?

Ozil is injured.. Could be back nexr week. Only competition is from Welbeck.. But then Welbeck has never started a league match this season.

Best way to get rid of Roonpig gentlemen? I have 1m ITB.

DCL to Quaner and Rooney to Firmino -4? Would give me:

    De Gea
    Otamendi Alonso Jones Mee
    Salah Sterling Son Arnautovic
    Kane Firmino
    (Elliot, Duffy, RLC, Quaner)

This is by far the worst Arsenal team to grace a Premiership game, problem is it's only going to get worse as the place is rotten to the core.
Surely Wenger has to finally do the decent thing and leave this summer although all he will leave now is a hollow shell of what used to be there.

In a way its better he leaves the team like this so the new manager can get his own players. I'd be hesitant to give Wenger £250m plus to rebuild with his terrible judgement of players

    3. Somalion

I thought they did some fantastic work getting lads like Sanchez or Ozil into the club. Then, they don't back up those signings with any real quality and fail to take advantage of having players who were far above their club.

Leicester had similar with guys like Mahrez and Kanté, both are better than the club. They used them to win the league while they had them.

      1. Ghost Gooner
        • 12 Years

Elneny Xhaka Gabriel Cech were just terrible buys. I don't blame Ozil and Sanchez as other players (rvp, nasri and fab) have left for similar reasons.

The problem with Arsenal is they think that having 2 world class players is enough to carry the rest of the shite in the team, and it isn't. They just show no ambition whatsoever, I'm not an Arsenal fan but they annoy me to the core.

Recruitment is very poor at Arsenal. So many players have come to the epl and they can't get any signing right. All these players have moved with the last 5 yrs and we missed all of them 😡

        Salah
        Cout

I'm sure this was talked about extensively yesterday but do any Chelsea fans know why Christensen didn't start against Leicester?

He seemed first-choice (aside from missing a couple of games due to illness), is that no longer the case? Or was it just Conte rotating him after using him in the cup midweek against Arsenal?

      Top 10k EO: Bellerin(7.8), Mustafi(4.0), Wilson(2.6).

Fairly useless game but a Bournemouth goal not from Wilson would be nice.
