After a largely disappointing round of action for the Fantasy Football Scout community, managers have plenty to discuss ahead of Gameweek 8.

With just one more weekend until another international break, we’ve put together another panel to help you solve your latest dilemmas…

Who’s on the panel this week?

Always Cheating – The USA’s number one FPL podcast duo comprising of Josh and Brandon.

DayvyFPL – Finished the 2018/19 season 22nd in the world and already up to 87k in the current campaign.

Joe – Our very own Scoutcast and video host, long-time servant of the site, keeper of the Goals Imminent table and seven top 10k FPL finishes.

Neale – Our very own deputy editor who was recently at the centre of ‘Hack-gate but is hoping to record a fourth career top 10k finish with his restored team.

I can't risk a potential non-starter unfortunately, not this week. Ruling out B and D Silva.

Probably Mount then, or Yarmalenko if just for one game

Is it worth keeping VVD long term if I already own TAA?

Don't mind double Pool def when Allison is back but I think Robbo for 0.4m more & Matip for 1m less are both better value options than VVD.

VVD downgrade to Soyuncu in GW9 allows me to upgrade Barnes to Vardy.

VVD and TAA owner here too.
TAA staying and VVD downgrading massively to 4.5 ish to spend elsewhere.

Yes that's my thinking too. Soyuncu looks great value and that 2m saved is need for the forwards.

    Salah & Ayew -> Yarm & Auba

Kane's the same price, has bha/WAT and no competition for place
Wilson/Vardy may be better value longer term
But my opinion's skewed from enduring last night's game. Yes he scored but otherwise nada and not even generally in goal scoring positions

Yep that's what I want - Aguero + Wilson Vardy
Just not ideal fixtures for the transfer in the week I want to drop Ayew

You think Aguero will play this weekend though? He was apparently rested at the weekend so he could play the CL this week which means he probably won't get a start this weekend. I have him and not sure what to do with him.

                  6 years, 11 months ago

Son could be a good alternative to Kane.
I'm keen on having Wilson & Vardy, both for the run in.
You need to have someone from Arsenal with those fixtures and he's the best.

            1. MTPockets
              6 years, 11 months ago

There seem to be better value mids than Son (Mount, Yarmalenko, even mci guys if patient)
Arsenal - yeah I thought that until I watched them. Need to think about it

Golden boot winner last season and 7 games without a blank with great fixtures coming. Surely Auba over Kane?!?
United are toothless but OT is still a tough place to go

                1. MTPockets
                  6 years, 11 months ago

I'm not realistically getting Kane either, was more as comparison.
Not saying Auba's a bad pick. Clearly hasn't been and probably won't be with more home games to come. Just not sure he's best £ value for me (e.g. Auba + Pukki vs. Wilson + Vardy + £)
That's in context of still being wedded to keeping Aguero, which may change

Salah/greenwood to auba/yarma is tempting, maybe next week for a -4

The 5th is a non playing 4m unfortunately

However it does allow for Vardy up top with Tammy and Pukki, in a Sterling, Mane, KDB, Mount, TAA team

Betbrain NOR CS odds at 24% which is higher than SHU 23%, CRY 22% and AVL 20% even though NOR is most likely playing with third choice keeper McGovern (4.0) due to injuries to the other 2 GKs, and injuries pretty mich every defensove player they have? Yeah, I would give NOR worse CS odds for sure.

I guess my practical point is: would you play Hanley over Lundstram and Kelly as last defender this GW, and would you play McGovern over Gunn as GK this GW if those were the options available? According to the odds, that would be the recommended course of action with a higher likelyhood of CS points.

I have Soyuncu and am quite happy with him. Your other defenders cover well for him so he could sit on the bench given the Liverpool fixture this week.

Worst bit about it is that I went back and forth between Vardy+Matip vs Firmino+Aurier about 5 or 6 times on my WC and had Vardy as my captain for a couple of days. Instead I went with Firmino+Aurier and captained Abraham. 31 point swing 🙁

Is it safe to say Kelly is ahead of Sakho for centre back slot ?

Kelly 5 starts, 3 cs, 2 goals conceded

Sakho 2 starts, 0 cs, 5 goals conceded.

When kelly starts palace are more resilient which is backed up by stats. Woy would be foolish to drop him

Wanted to do the same thing but didnt want to risk with the injury. Now thinking of getting him after IB. He is a very good choice but if I had more money Vardy would also be the option. Good luck.

WC done last week, could’ve been better could’ve been worse. Plan is to hold transfer for one week and then have 2ft during IB. Hope KdB will make it and monitoring Maddison situation. Also have double Norwich so will watch closley game against AV and then see what to do with them. Gtg?

2 FT's and thinking of -4 to allow Pepe, Digne & Greenwood > Dendonker, Soyuncu & Auba

    Leaves me with:

    Adrian

    Lowton / Tomori / Lundstram

    Salah / Sterling / Son / Mount

    Abraham / Auba / Pukki

    Button / Dendonker / Soyuncu / Rico

Yay or nay? Have exact money so would be tonight after the champions league games

    Thinking of doing;

    Kun 》 Auba

The rotation is annoying and I know Kun can score loads againt Wolves but it will be a matter of second guessing Pep, which may end up as a huge disappointment. Do it?

There are some rumours KDB may be injured, and if indeed BSilva is suspended by the FA, then Mahrez becomes an easy route.
