Yep, always liked him & think Fulham are a good fit. Might even double up with Muniz if I'm setting up for an early WC. Can be a pretty explosive attack on their day & back-to-back fixtures v promoted sides is quite enticing.

Defo, he got over 120 points two seasons in a row at Arsenal as a bit part player. He has the quality and I think Fulham are the perfect side to help him. Will be starting the season with him

No he didn't? He got 125 points in 2021/22 after a purple patch - he's got 121 points in his other 4 seasons combined

Yes, record signing, decent fixtures. Toss up between him on Muniz depending on how others do pre season/who is fit.to start the first 2 gameweeks.

I think he is £0.5m overpriced based on his actual points history.

I'm looking at starting with Szboszlai who appears to have an advanced creative role under Slot but would also be happy to go with Johnson in an attacking wide forward position for Spurs.
Wait and see for Doku and Nkunku, both have crazy high ceiling.
Kudus and MGW both pretty much guarantee you 140 - 150 points.

I have Johnson in my current draft, and Szboszlai might be a good shout, would need to see more pre-season though.

Johnson looked good in pre-season but never sure that's an indicator. Is there no chance Kulusevksi moves back over to the right and takes his place?

My Haaland and Salah draft. Anyone think downgrading trent to Robertson/Virgil and upgrading winks to rogers worth it??

    Miguel
    TAA/andersen/myolenko
    Salah/gordon/eze/nkunku
    Haaland/isak/muniz

    Turner/barco/winks/belis

Thanks in advance for all the feedback

I think Robertson is still injured, no? But not sure of expected return date. I don't currently have any Liverpool defence but the early signals from Slot around control & more patient buildup are putting me off Trent a little for now, so maybe I'd go VVD and a better 8th attacker, especially if starting with Nkunku

Think the Califiori signing makes that a massive risk.

Good point, I don't necesarily think that the Califiori signing will go well so I thought he might play lb. Looking for a differentail def around 5m was thinking maybe Dalot but also Maatsen could be an exciting pick, especially if he plays higher up the pitch

so far in preseason Spurs have played tactics the resemble 2019 Liverpool where Mane/Salah basically wider strikers and Firminho false 9.
Son/Johnson get in great positions for attack returns.

    4. MJF
      2 years, 1 month ago

I don't see the point of having a 5.0 mid as sub when I could say, upgrade Johnson to Eze and have Winks on the bench. Just my personal approach to it. I think the extra 0.5 on the bench might cost you a quick move at some point.

      1. MJF
        2 years, 1 month ago

Maybe you don't see that as an upgrade though! Which would be fair. I like Johnson as a pick.

Got a run of starts on the left at the end of last season but been playing second striker in preseason.

I think if they land Joao Felix that'd put me right off him. Otherwise I think maybe Bailey/Tielemans/Buendia would his competition for SS; Ramsey for LW (although they might also play a CM there who tucks inside).

Gotcha thanks. Some decent names there as competition for him so doesn't sound too likely. Would be gold an attacking asset from Villa for 5M & makes me feel better about leaving out Watkins to get Haaland and Salah, but sounds risky.

All of his potential competition can play elsewhere though, and I'd expect Bailey to mostly start at RW. But yeah I'm still unsure on the prospect of regular starts - stuck him as my 8th attacker for a bit til I got my head turned by Bobb yesterday

Think it's worth the extra 0.5 having Rogers as the 8th attacker that can rotate when needed. Better than the 4.5 mid/fwd options that have low point ceilings or won't even play.

All speculation at the mo. The lad's having a good pre-season, has a number of starts under his belt, Emery trusts him. As a Villain, like many of us we think he starts. Otherwise they might as well have left him back on the beach that is B6 🙂

Solid team. If I’m being picky i would downgrade verbruggen to Brentford 2nd keeper for that extra .5 plus i think verbruggen will miss the start of the season. Soucek to Hudson-Odoi but other than that you’re good to go

I wouldn't bother rotating keepers personally. I'd either go for one of the £5m options or downgrade one to a £4m and upgrade Soucek.

My first attempt at a draft, is this defence too rubbish? Areola is just a placeholder for whoever I end up thinking is the best £4.5m keeper.

    Areola
    Andersen Barco Livramento
    Salah Son Gordon CHO
    Haaland Isak Muniz

    £4m Rogers Castagne Faes

    1. Tonyawesome69

Each defender in isolation is fine but when grouped together I'm not a fan.

I'm not a huge fan of the drafts that have both Haaland and Salah so currently only one premium.

I have slightly gone off TAA at the moment as I'm not sure when he will back and may get eased in with Bradley available

    2. The Tonberry
      • 2 Years

Yeah I'd invest a bit more in the defence. Going with two 4.0 defs has its risks and isn't the most flexible.

Personally I'd downgrade Son and upgrade the 4.0 defenders.

I could probably just about live with that for a few weeks if Livramento is nailed (e.g. if Trippier leaves). GW3 not ideal but if Barco starts regularly you can probably avoid playing Faes. Clearly some risk of being forced into early WC / downgrading one of your 5 expensive attackers though

    4. Whiskerz
      • 13 Years
      2 years, 1 month ago

Very nice. I agree with the consensus of upgrading the def a bit tho.

      The sacrifice I'd make would be Gordon to a 6.5 and use that 1m on 1 4.0 to a 4.5 and maybe one 4.5 to a 5.0

    5. LangerznMash
      • 10 Years

      Rogers > £4.5m mid
Faes > £4.5m def from Brentford/NFO gives your defence a decent fixture rotation.

Fernandes (no1), Mbeumo, Eze, Gordon (although Barnes might affect this if hes shifted to RW), Palmer. Up front there's less, possibly Solanke

Defence basically all the premiums bar Gvardiol

Hello peeps, appreciate your honest feedback on the below! RMT pls

    Pope (Bentley)
Van Der Ven - Andersen - Mykolenko (Castagne, Harwood-Bells)
MGW - Salah - EZE - Gordon (Bobb)
    Jesus - Haaland - Isak

The thought behind the above team is current pre-season form, new BBP system for defenders, as well as star boys (Palmer, Saka, Foden) might not be available for selection in GW1-3. I've gone for MGW based on fixtures and him being a setpiece taker as opposed to Nkunku (who seems good cover for Palmer.)

    Any changes required ?

    Cheers

      Jesus is a pick...

Don't get suckered by the pre-season mins. Arteta is going to start the season with: Raya, Calafiori, Gabriel, Saliba, White, Rice, Partey, Odegaard, Saka, Trossard, Havertz

And there won't be much rotation because that's just how he rolls. Only spot is Trossard/Martinelli/Jesus.

Slightly interested, could be a nice differential (C) GW3. Fixtures look tough but then my impression was that he's not really a flat-track bully & does tend to return late counter-attacking goals against some of the big sides. Although checking this statistically doesn't make for such great reading:
      CRY: P5 0G 1A
      LIV: P5 1G 0A
      MCI: P3 0G 1A
      TOT: P5 3G 1A

Not paying £7.0m for a Brentford player when you can get Szboszlai/Johnson/Doku/MGW was £6.5m

Still in the thinkering stages. Probably gonna go for both Haaland and Salah in the end. Current draft still has some empty slots but have an idea on which price bracket will fill those spots. GKs I am not sure on. Might prefer 2 4.5ms and spend the extra .5 elsewhere. Maybe have a 4.5 and a 4.0m and gain an extra 1m to upgrade other spots.

    Raya / 4.0 GK

    Areola
