Last weekend saw a brace from Clint Dempsey grab the headlines in Fulham’s 2-0 win over Wigan as Mark Hughes’ side recovered from two straight league defeats to climb back into the top half of the table.

With a broken leg keeping Bobby Zamora sidelined for the next few months, Dempsey has been playing as an out-of-position forward for the Cottagers and the American has taken his chance to impress. In the six games Fulham have played since Zamora‘s Karl Henry-enforced injury, Dempsey has scored four goals and, taking Fantasy Premier League (FPL) Bonus Points into the equation, has racked up a total of 41 points during this period, compared with just 6 points in the first four league games of the season. Averaging almost seven points per game up front, then, Dempsey is making a mockery of the fact his price has dropped £0.3m (from £7m to £6.7m) since the season began.

In this latest Members article, we check out Dempsey’s key Opta stats from Gameweek 10 and compare them with his Fulham strike-partner Moussa Dembele. The result is somewhat surprising…

Everton best clean sheet option, followed by Arsenal imo. Wolves have scored in every game this season apart from the game at Chelsea (when they deserved one).

Guys could you help me out with my team? Currently it is:

    Foster
    Samba / Alex / Coleman / Elmo
    Fabs (c) / Malouda / Nasri
    Drogba / Hernandez / Carroll

Subs: Carson / Barton / Konch / Nani

    Options I'm considering are:

    a) Nani > Arteta - Then I would prob play Arteta instead of a defender (or Carroll??), but which one? Would prob be Coleman or Elmo, but both have decent(ish) fixtures.

    b) Bank the transfer - I have a feeling the extra freebie will come in handy for the midweek GW, and a transfer seems unnecessary when I can field 11 without it.

Option b seems like the most sensible at the moment, but I will most likely get Arteta (prob for Nasri) soon anyway, and Arteta could have a good score against blp. Also Nani will drop and may miss 2 or 3 games.

    Please help!

But he's playing in a position where he's heavily involved in the build up, but not in a position to play the key pass or take the shot himself.

I'd pay the 8.2m in a flash if he was starting out wide.

Value-wise, it's better to buy an underpriced expensive player than a slightly over-priced mid-price player.

When Arteta starts scoring, you'll want to be in on it from the first game. I'm not dissing Cahill in any way as I like his style. He can't compete with Arteta at his peak, though.

There's a saying that Everton only get going after the clocks go back, and it seems like it might be true again this season too. There's a lot in Everton to like - *if* they can all start firing and inspiring each other.

    Current team:
    Foster (Hahnemann)
    A. Cole | Alex | Salcido | Elmohamady (Enrique)
Nasri | Fabregas | Davies (Nani**, Ferguson)
    Elmander | Carroll | Drogba

Okay, so I've been quite lucky considering the only injury I have is Nani. I brought Cole in last week, but got doubts over whether I want two Chelsea defenders.

    Thinking of:
    1. A. Cole and Nani OUT. (Insert name of defender) and Cahill/Arteta IN. 4 point hit.
    2. A. Cole, Nani and Davies OUT. (Defender below 7.2), Cahill AND Arteta IN. 8 point hit.
    3. Nani OUT. Cahill/Arteta IN. No hit.
    4. Other suggestions?

First year of ff (and it shows) and second post here. Love this site!
    Howard/Mignolet
    Terry Williamson Foley Figueroa Perch
    Nasri Nani Malouda VDV Albrighton
    Drogba Chamakh Carroll
    bank=2.6

    Keeping Malouda & VDV.
    a) Nani to Arteta/Cahill
    b) Nani to Arteta/Cahill & Albrighton to Bale
    c) Nani to Arteta Cahill & Perch to Jagielka/Distin/Coleman

Still not settled on the Cahill/Arteta debate and whether VDV's 1 or 2 game absence is worth going back to Bale. And as for the d, wanted to bring one of the toffees in last week and still do. Distin is cheaper than Jags, and Coleman's rotation risk has me worried. What to do?

Sorry for the length, but any advice would be greatly appreciated!

I'm reading the WBA team news as Morrison is out. That means that I need to make an outfield transfer unless I want to play Simpson at the Emirates.

    Morrison > Brunt? (no hit)

It leaves me with the dreaded 8 good attackers, but given my recent injur y record (this is a GOOD week), I figure I'll cross that bridge when I come to it. I really wanted to bring Cech in this week but looks like I'll have to leave it now, as I'm not convinced that it deserves a hit.

    Yay?

Cheers Attila. Park is a very good call, largely as he's been bought by the guy in my office who has no idea what he's doing but always flukes points. Seriously though, I think I'll need cover for VDV / Nani for a week or two.

id move morrison on for someone a bit better than brunt if i could, but theres not many around, so you may as well use the transfer. YHou dont have 8 attackers tomorrow, and thats the main thing, and you wont next week wither. whoever you get in, have them in mind for the next two weeks at least, but iddefo move morrison on. DOnt get cech for a bhit wither, bad idea
